  4. Nokia 3105 supports AMR format. I am not sure if it supports QCP format. U can download MP3 to AMR converter called Mobile ringtone converter from < Link Removed > for free. WARNING!!! Don't post Warez links next time!
  5. MP3 is different from QCP format. Most cdma handsets do support QCP files. QCP ringtones work on 6130 and all other handsets which support QCP files. All my friends unfortunately have 6130 so there is no way for me to check if this works on other handsets. Although technically it should as most cdma handsets support QCP file format.
  6. To make a ringtone out of your MP3 or WAVE file, you need to convert it into a QCP file. Instructions for doing it are as follows. First, if you are not starting with a WAV file, you need to convert your file (probably a MP3 file) into a WAV file. Use Google and search for "mp3 to wav freeware" (or whatever type of file you are starting with). You can find several good programs this way. One nice program is dBpowerAMP Music Converter (U will get a 30 days trial version unless u know warez to find a full version ). Now you need to downsample the WAV file to make it smaller and so that PureVoice can convert it. Change it to 8 khz (8,000 hz), 16-bit sound, and mono. At this point, I strongly suggest using the Windows sound editor to make it about 30 seconds long or shorter. If you plan on using it as a ringer, you likely won't hear any more than 30 seconds of your song. By making it shorter now, you make the file a lot smaller. Now you need to use Qualcomm's PureVoice Converter (http://www.cdmatech.com/products/purevoice_download.jsp). Download and unzip it. The converter is a little DOS-based program. The easiest way to run it is to just drag your WAV file on top of the program, and it will automatically create a QCP file for you. Well u now have ur very own ringtone ready for use. The only thing left to do is to transfer it to ur phone. U can do this either via a data cable or by sending the ringtone as an MMS to ur phone (Hoping u know how to do that!! ). So there u have it ur very own truetone free of cost. Enjoy!!
