  4. Urgent, Data Problems With Lg Rd 2030 Plz Hlp Me

BitPim is a program that allows you to view and manipulate data on many CDMA handsets. And you will find a text link called "Search" on the top of all forum pages. Start from there to find more about what all you can do with it !
  5. Nokia 6255 Reviewed

gr8 review Tanveer ! yes, keep 'em coming and we will merge it later

  7. RConnect & Linux

thanks for the headsup dhgupta, should come in handy for many trying out R-Connect with Linux.
  8. send via Web as what ? If you have WAP, then upload the book mark page (code it in WML) to a webserver and access it from the WAP browser of your GSM/CDMA handset.
  9. Reliance Dial Up Internet Without A Phone

Our local cable wallah also provides it around Rs.500 per month. But remember that since it is a shared connection, the speeds will depend very much on the number of subscribers using/sharing the connection at that time.
  10. Rim Goes Global

1st CDMA operator to launch International Roaming in India is what really they meant, it is mentioned clearly in the first sentence. Anyway, there isn't any point in arguing over it here.
  11. Reliance Dial Up Internet Without A Phone

ah i c, then that must be what Solanky was talking about, a shared connection actually. But its not dial up connection !
  12. Happy Chingam 1st

    'Malayalam' rather
  13. Happy Chingam 1st

Bingo Vishal ! just a grammatical mistake though... 'markkum' isn't a single word, it stands for the 's' in brothers and sisters. And 'ende' means 'my', so the other way round.
  14. Happy Chingam 1st

that translates to: "Wishing all Malayalee brothers and sisters my wholehearted new year wishes"
  15. More new stuff coming soon... pssst... Indra is working hard to give a facelift for the home page at rimweb.in
  16. Wintcpmod.exe

Can you scan the file at Virus Total and at Norman Sandbox ? This is what I found in Google.
  17. Yes, it depends on whether COM1 port is open/free or being used by some other device. But he has mentioned that he has already disabled/uninstalled his internal modem. And the inbuilt modem will most probably won't be a USB modem ! Anyway, I don't think its something to do with the drivers as nspendse has already mentioned that the USB drivers were installed without any problem. His problem is with the port number mismatch and thats what he asked for.
  18. Open Device Manager and expand the Ports option. Open the COM port (3, in your case) properties. Click Port Settings tab > Then Advanced. Now you will find a drop down box with lots of port numbers. Choose COM 1 and click all OKies. Thats it ! P.S: Searching the forum before posting something like this will help us a lot, as similar issues have been already posted before.

  20. Nokia 2112 Hanging Problem

Well, looks as though you must have damaged something inside when it fell down. If it has something to do with the PCB, tough luck then. Anyway, show it to the Service Center again and make sure you have the lastest software version too.
  21. Maran, TRAI chief fight over ADC SANJAY ANAND TIMES NEWS NETWORK [ TUESDAY, AUGUST 16, 2005 01:22:55 AM ] NEW DELHI: Who should get the credit for slashing telecom tariffs, ramping up subscribers and keeping rural telephony affordable? This is at the heart of the current clash between communications minister Dayanidhi Maran and telecom regulator Trai chairman Pradeep Baijal. The clash has come in the form a politically controversial issue called ADC (access deficit charge), which we pay through phone companies for telecom PSU BSNL so that it can provide connections in villages at low monthly rentals. ADC, introduced a few years ago and estimated to be around Rs 5,000 crore, is under Trai's jurisdiction and is revised annually. This year, Trai is expected to announce the new ADC estimate in September, and it could be halved to Rs 2,500, leading to a big reduction in STD rates. But communications ministry is expected to bring out a directive that will make ADC a policy matter, stripping Trai of its powers on the subject. The ministry has informed the PMO about its intent, resulting in disaffection between Maran and Baijal. Actually, Maran wants to introduce ‘One India' plan, under which there will be a lower flat STD rate for calls across the country. He wants to make it a part of the new telecom policy (NTP 2005), which is due later this year, covering issues like spectrum allocation, 3G (third generation services) and, possibly, ADC. With few months left for Baijal's term to end, the ministry wants to avoid a big public spat. "Point is simple, ADC is a policy matter. It should not be made into a battle of life and death," said an official. ADC has been tied to STD tariffs. It was introduced a few years ago after long distance (STD/ISD) rates were slashed drastically (from Rs 24 a minute for a Delhi-Mumbai call, to about Rs 4 now) because of private competition. Earlier, BSNL used to make huge profits from long distance calls and, from those big margins, provide phones at very low rentals and local call charges, especially in smaller towns and villages. With that gone, BSNL had only two choices: Either hike rural rentals and call charges to the limit or get the ‘deficit' amount for providing phones to ‘the poor'. Last time Trai tried to reduce ADC, BSNL whipped up enough political hysteria to get Bajial nearly removed as Trai chairman. Trai was criticised for not taking action against Reliance, for causing BSNL a loss of hundreds of crores in ADC payments by illegally passing of international calls as local ones. International calls attract higher ADC payments. Recently, the ministry has been unhappy with Trai for failing to nail Tatas for not reducing international bandwidth rates, and ‘letting them' win a case in telecom tribunal by goofing up on technical grounds.
  22. I've seen 721 error reported by members earlier too, and most of the time it has been due to negative balance in account. You may do a search in the forum and read through previous posts regarding the 721 error message. BTW, please do not double post, one of your post in another topic has been removed.
  23. Logo doesn't belongs to RIMweb, but to Reliance Infocomm, which is copy righted by them. We do not have the font used earlier. If you find atleast the name of the font used earlier, do let us know and we'll try that. Yes, done ! Yes, done !
  24. Lg Lsi 110

manojpjose did mention that outgoing calls are working for him, but still, it can be due to some temporary problem at Reliance's end or due to deactivation of R-Connect service in the account.
