I guess its the same feature as in LG RD 5130... yes, its a feature and not a problem, to save battery charge. Though it would have been nice if they could have given an option for controlling (on or off) it too.

There is no need to order a CD for that. Just download it from the net from: http://www.relianceinfo.com/webapp/Infocom...nnectsearch.jsp from a cyber cafe and ask them to write to CD. It is only a few MB in size.

Reactivating using *228 is required only when you change SDCA or change your number. You can visit the LG ASC and ask them to reload your handset software before contacting Reliance.
-
Yup, R-Connect speeds are better than dialup speeds and satisfactory.
-
You may give the phone to the Nokia service center and ask them to reload the phone software and see if there is any improvement.
-
Which Operating System are you using ?
-
LOL, LG RD 2230 does not have R-World nor does it support Polyphonic ringtones. Make sure you read the specifications before you buy a handset rather than depending on the RWW reps !
-
How about SMS ? If LG ASC still says its not a problem at their end, call *333 from there itself and ask them to speak with the Customer Care rep.
-
Sorry, but I couldn't get my data cable from my friend yet. Will try after I get it back.
-
Yes, it is normal for most LG handsets for Reliance, to get heated quickly when calling or using R-World for some time.
-
archit, Are you able to save Ringtones downloaded from R-World over the ringtones that you downloaded from MMS ?
-
Common guys, please read the instructions carefully, you cannot send them using your Rediff/Yahoo mail accounts. And discussions regarding it should be posted in the Technical Programming forum only.
-
Just use your 93 number as the username and password.

Press Trust of India - January 05, 2005 Reliance Infocomm Ltd will soon start charging for services offered through its `R World', a web-based platform. "We will very soon charge for the `R World' services and the charges would be based on the content provided and operators," company president (Applications Solutions & Content Group) Mahesh Prasad told reporters here today. "The charges will be at par with those of the existing service providers and some of the services will be better than our competitors. The company is aiming at offering affordable rates for the masses," he said. `R World' offers over 120 different services including gaming. The platform serves over 12-15 billion pages in a year, he said. Meanwhile, Reliance Infocomm has tied up with internet portal Indiatimes.Com to provide Short Messaging Service

No I havent checked vsnl account
-
GMail option doesn't seem to work, but all others including POP Accounts are working fine !!!
-
I dont think there will be any difference in having USB or serial cable. If you have an original data cable from Reliance, then it doesn't matter.
-
Isn't there any option to delete the downloaded ringtones in 2130 ?
-
You cannot convert an mp3 file to /mmf. Only from .midi to mmf
-
No there is no compatible software for LG RD 2130. You can try the MMS method instead.
-
Will let you know the result soon when I try it at home,, by next week.
-
RD 2103 ??? If you are talking about 2130, then no, there is no software to do it as of now, anyway, why don't you try the MMS method ?
