Let mom decide: Mukesh Ambani December 11, 2004 20:54 IST - Rediff.com Kokilaben Ambani, widow of the founder of the Reliance empire, on Saturday emerged as the likely arbiter in the battle between her two sons with the elder one Mukesh leaving 'all settlement issues' to her, a path his brother Anil had favoured a few days ago. In an important turn in the battle for the control of the Rs 90,000-crore group, founded more than a quarter century ago by Dhirubhai Ambani, a spokesperson for Mukesh said on Saturday night that he would abide by whatever decision she takes. Asked if this has been conveyed to Anil also, he replied in the negative saying there was no communication from the younger brother who had been talking through the media. "Mukesh Ambani has not sought any legal separation. This is a false propaganda. He has left the entire matter in the hands of his mother (Kokilaben) and whatever she decides he will abide by it," the spokesperson told PTI. Earlier in the day, sources in the Anil camp had accused Mukesh of turning down the efforts to stay united and seeking a 'formal legal separation'. This was described by Mukesh's spokesman as 'a figment of imagination, baseless and nonsensical'. In October 2002, the two brothers and their sisters, Dipti and Neena, along with their mother had signed a 'Deed of Release' leaving the entire property and assets of Dhirubhai, who died without a will, to Kokilaben. When asked about the ongoing tussle in the Ambani family, spiritual guru Bhai Shri Oza said, "Thakurji ki kripa se sab accha hoga (By the grace of God, everything would be fine). He did not reveal his role in efforts to solve the dispute between the Ambani brothers.

Mukesh camp says split inevitable Joydeep Ray in Ahmedabad | December 11, 2004 10:32 IST (Rediff.com) Mukesh and Anil Ambani are heading for a formal split, according to sources close to the Mukesh Ambani camp. The sources said Mukesh Ambani had been trying to settle the issues with his younger brother but a split "now looks inevitable". Legal options were also being explored should the need arise, they said. "Mukesh has not indulged in a media war so far as he believes the problem with his brother is essentially in the private domain and he feels a public battle will harm the interests of the millions of Reliance Group shareholders," the sources said. The sources also said Mukesh was deeply hurt by the attempts made by a section in the group to malign him. "The time has perhaps come for him to go on the offensive," they said. Contrary to media reports that Kokilaben, wife of the late, Dhirubhai Ambani, had been trying to mediate between her two sons, the fact was that "nothing is in her control now", the sources said. Mukesh Ambani would be presiding over the first convocation of the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology at Gandhinagar on Saturday. There were speculation that Anil Ambani would also come but company sources later said they had no such information.

arungoel, I faced the same situation once, and unfortuantely, I couldn't find a solution for it. It could be either a problem with the USB port or the connection end of your cable. Finally, I had to buy a new serial data cable.

Thats because they want to eliminate multiple/fraud votes to an extent.

Google on Wednesday threw another bone to customers of Gmail, its free Web-based e-mail service. The Mountain View, Calif.-based company now allows people to download e-mail from any third-party account or forward their Gmail for free, or what's called POP (Post Office Protocol) access. "The Gmail Team is excited to announce that, over the next several weeks, we are introducing POP access to all of our users. To make sure the feature is fully stable, we're giving users access to POP in phases. Once POP access is available to you, a 'New Features!' link appears at the top of your account, along with a 'Forwarding and POP' tab on your 'Settings' page."

Channel NewsAsia - 20 November 2004 An 8-year-old boy in India has established himself as the youngest ever certified computer professional. This, despite being born with a severe physical deformity. Channel NewsAsia's Atul Jolly caught up with the amazing whiz kid. Mridul Seth is the youngest ever Microsoft-certified computer professional in the world. It's equivalent to a degree obtained after sitting for an Engineering exam. All this, at the age of 8. Mridul's abilities are also recognised by the likes of the Indian Institute of Science, Indian Institute of Information Technology and Jetking. "Any kind of problem, whether it is scientific, computerised or technical is understood by my son very quickly. Second thing is like in computer software or science whenever you tell him something he understands quickly and queries about the next step. He never forgets anything," said M K Seth, Mridul's father. Mridul was born with one ear and half his face, distorted. He cannot speak properly, but that has never stopped him from mastering computers. He became an expert in HTML, Photoshop and Windows before he was 6. He learnt and even developped software, all on his own. Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has met this whiz kid and promised that the government would help Mridul achieve even more. Mridul has certainly shown that when there's a will, there's definitely a way, despite the odds.

Yes, thats how a normal website's 'amount of traffic' is considered. As Ashok pointed out, the 'amount' of traffic allotted for RIMweb.com is allotted by me itself, from my server's total allowance.
