OK, Baazee banner might be blocked by Mozilla. Not sure why Niket is having trouble then.
-
I was thinking about it too after Baazee stopped their paid per click program. Does the Google ad words program pay to Indians ? I noticed that they ask a lot about US based stuff. What is the minimum payout ? and how do they send the payment ?
-
er, that link is working for me. Can you tell me what error you encountered ?

Rediff.com - October 12, 2004 It is easier than you think to recharge your prepaid cards for mobile phones now. ICICI Bank, in association with Euronet, has launched a subscriber-friendly service for prepaid subscribers of Airtel, Hutch, Orange and IDEA. This will enable ICICI Bank ATM/debit cardholders to recharge their prepaid subscriptions from any of these mobile service providers anywhere in the country using the bank's ATMs or by sending an SMS. The customer has to select the payments option in the ATM's main menu followed by services and toppings to recharge the mobile phone. The amount for recharging the mobile phone would be debited from the subscriber's ICICI Bank account and the subscription would be directly recharged accordingly. O P Srivastava, general manager, ICICI Bank, said: "This service is another significant step in our endeavor to use technology to enhance customer convenience and provide them round-the-clock banking and related solutions. The bank will continue to develop such products and make the ATMs a multi-utility platform." Loney Antony, managing director, Euronet, said: "It is our pleasure to have such an association with ICICI Bank. The mobile top-up facility is increasingly becoming popular as it provides convenience on ATMs and through mobile phones using SMS."

Niket is talking about the header logo banner and not the Baazee advertisement banner. Since you (seetha) are using Mozilla, do you have any problem viewing the header banner like Niket does ?

Illegal ILD Traffic - Infocomm penalty case
Arun replied to city02's topic in Reliance Communications
Press Trust of India New Delhi, October 8 One person has been arrested for running an illegal telephone exchange at village Palam, police said today. The exchange, busted by a team of officials from the Department of Telecom, the Delhi Police and Reliance Infocomm, was distributing international calls in and around Delhi. It was "Prime Net Global" which was running an Internet leased line of 512 kbps in a illegal manner, an official release said. The exchange was bringing incoming international call traffic through internet leased line and muturing the call to the party by using high tech equipment and locally dialling and switching through. This presented the international call to the party as a local call. "Thus this presented the international call to the called party as local call, while actually the called party was speaking to calling party internationally," the release said. The internet leased line of 512 kbps used in the illegal set up pertained to Prime Net Global, while the domestic numbers (23 in all) used for local dialing pertained to Reliance Infocom. Prepaid cards available abroad were the main source of the illegal incoming international traffic and were being pushed into the racket in collusion with some foreigners. The accused, Sanjeev Solanki, has been arrested under the Indian Telegraph Act, and investigations are on to find out the involvement of any other Indian or foreign partner, police said. Calls received through such kind of setups suffer from lot of noise and the quality of speech is also not good. There is delay in the speech transitions between the parties at both ends. -

Illegal ILD Traffic - Infocomm penalty case

BSNL-Reliance Info spat has a security angle too - The Hindu Business Line IS the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd-Reliance Infocomm issue merely a bilateral one between the two parties to be settled by themselves, or is it a matter to be pursued by the Department of Telecommunications or other authorities? Officials, both at BSNL and across the telecom industry, hold differing views. One senior official with one of the BSNL circles which had alleged that Reliance Infocomm was passing off international calls as originating from India itself said: "It is a breach of agreement between them and us." According to him, since the means of dealing with the problem (namely, disconnecting Reliance's points of interconnect) were in BSNL's hands, and BSNL would also stand to lose less than Reliance Infocomm should the disconnections actually be carried out, it having the larger network of the two, the matter can be settled between the two parties. However, not everyone at BSNL agrees with him. Senior officials at some of the other circles of BSNL issue feel it is not just a question of BSNL standing to lose revenues, but that the issue is one of security and of violation of license conditions as well. "Very often law-enforcing agencies want to trace calls. One should see how they persist with us when they want to track down a call. Now, if a call originating from elsewhere showed up as coming from India itself, it would remain untraceable, and law enforcing agencies are not going to like that," said a senior official with a BSNL circle who feels that either the Department of Telecommunications or some other authority ought to pursue the matter more seriously. Other telecom officials who hold the `bilateral issue' point of view, feel that when voice over Internet protocol telephony (VoIP telephony) is allowed in ILD (provided it is not through a PSTN line), calls will be untraceable anyway, and it would be irrelevant to bring in a security angle to the issue. And as such, it would end up being a bilateral issue between BSNL and Reliance Infocomm. But BSNL officials want the security angle to be examined too. They point attention to an August news release of this year from the Ministry of Telecommunications: "With a view to curbing the menace of grey Internet telephony market and to check flourishing of illegal telephone exchanges in the country, the Department of Telecom (DoT) has decided to recover the revenue losses by imposing penalty against Internet Service Providers (ISPs) whose Internet leased lines were found being misused." Reliance Infocomm's case is different from the above one, pointed out a BSNL official. "However, one would note that the DoT is imposing its own penalty and not asking the ILD operators who are the wronged party to settle the issue with the ISPs. So why should ours be only a bilateral issue?" -
TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2004 12:49:01 AM ] Reliance Infocomm Ltd is looking at the successful public call office (PCO) model for delivery of e-governance initiatives to the rural areas. In the nextgen PCO, Reliance will use broad band to deliver the services, changing its ‘avatar’ to that of a public broad-band office (PBO). Prakash Bajpai, president, Reliance Infocomm, said the G2C (government to consumer) initiative on e-governance will popularise the use of broad band. However, he did not have a time-frame for Reliance’s projected PBO nor the investments needed. “The PBO will need applications like e-mail, transactions, filing of returns, sales tax or excise duty filing or any other work requiring government interaction. Additionally, we will have to persuade government for spectrum availability and dedicated carriers for data will be needed. Investments will be needed for the creation of base stations, too,” Bajpai said. Meanwhile, pushing its broad band service offering, Reliance Infocomm will add another eight products to its existing 12. The new products, to be launched in another two months time, will include collaborative services and consumer Internet. The bouquet of collaborative products will include audio, video and web conferencing services while the consumer ’Net offerings will include interactive games, health and education. In an effort to improve its customer care services, the telecom services provider is set to launch Web World Express (WWE). These franchised outlets will initially attend to customer care issues and then expand to include broad band services. “We are rolling out 1100 WWEs in the next few months. These will initially be customer care outlets and could be broad band connected depending on market demand,” Bajpai said.

The uploader folder is already big. Bigger upload folder will make the backing up process difficult for me too. And ofcourse, the server space consumed is another problem.
-
I have doubled the global upload limit to 200 KB now ! Please try to delete old unwanted attachments from the Control Panel, as the upload folder is getting bigger. The banner will be fixed as soon as I get the 'code' from Code. "Fast Reply" button in FLP forum has been enabled now. Thank you for pointing it out. The "Edited by: membername" option was activated for members so that everyone can know whether a post was edited or not by the member. It will not be disabled. Finally, RIMweb may have gone 'commercial' , but I haven't got any real bucks in my hand yet as my account with Baazee is having some technical problems, got fed up of communicating with them as their Affiliate customer support is very slow.
