I Am Not Able To Access Rimweb And Some Other Websites
Arun replied to drali's topic in General Technical Discussion
The next time you experience this issue, please run the following command in a Command Prompt window: nslookup rimweb.in and post the result here. It is probably an issue with MTNL's DNS. You can use other reliable DNS providers like OpenDNS (208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220) or Level3 (4.2.2.1 & 4.2.2.2) to avoid such issues. To configure your local DNS address, you can check this guide. -

No, the RSN number cannot be changed without changing the board of the handset.

pretty ironic that they are advertising in their own hate topic!

should be thin and at the same time have a full qwerty keyboard? not sure if there is any. The closest that I can think of is HTC 6800 Mogul if you don't mind the size.

Times News Network 15 Apr 2008, 0057 hrs IST Remembering your PIN code is set to become tougher but your letter could reach you faster. The government has moved a proposal to increase the digits in postal index number - or PIN - from the present six to eight for easy sorting of mail and to meet international standards. The proposal, likely to be implemented next year, would make the postman's job much easier because the last two digits would identify the "beat" (specific mohalla). "It will help in speedier delivery of mail," a communications ministry official said. A PIN code for New Delhi, say 110001, covers post offices in as many as 19 areas, including Connaught Place, Constitution House, Eastern Court, Janpath, Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi GPO and Pragati Maidan to name a few. "Our postmen have developed their identification skills fantastically over the years. It is hard work and experience that enables them to deliver the mail despite the confusion. The new system will be much better," the official said. Under the new system, a person living near Pragati Maidan for example, could have a PIN code like 110001-11. The first six digits would identify his broader area (New Delhi), but the last two would zero down almost to his exact house. The US began with a 5-digit zip code and later added four more digits. The American system is now known as Zip+4. The Indian system, when in place, would be something like PIN+2. In 1941, Germany became the first country to introduce a postcode system. UK and US followed in 1959 and 1963. PIN was introduced in India as late as August 15, 1972. Even now, all countries do not have a postal code system. In 2005, only 117 of the 190 member countries of the Universal Postal Union had post codes. The exceptions include Ireland, Hong Kong, Panama and Vietnam.

How Can I Access Rimweb And Reply Using My Reliance Prepaid Connection?
Arun replied to carbinem4's topic in Forum Feedback
Not until Invision comes up with some plans for the lo-fi version. However I don't think they will try to improve it because I haven't seen any requests or demand for that feature in their wishlist. I guess thats because WAP is becoming obselete and everyone is using PDAs and Smartphones to browse on the move. -

Punjab Newsline Network Friday, 11 April 2008 Chandigarh Reliance Communications has drastically cut down monthly rental of internet data cards usage in order to give Baisakhi Bonanza to its Punjab and Chandigarh subscribers. "Reliance Netconnect is increasingly being adopted as the most effective internet service by laptop and desktop users for its superior capabilities, including better speeds and consistency than Dial-up internet services", said Sanjeev Garg, Chief Executive Officer, Reliance Communications, Punjab Circle. "The new pricing would make Reliance Netconnect internet services more affordable for the masses, leading to faster penetration and growth, and result in further consolidating our leadership in this fast growing segment", he added. Under the new pricing, Reliance Unlimited Plan for post paid Netconnect PCMCIA data card and Reliance Netconnect USB Modem Data Card users would now be available for Rs 700 instead of Rs 1500 monthly rental for Punjab subscribers. The revised pricing results in a drop of over 50% making Reliance Netconnect services even more affordable. The monthly rental for 1 GB Usage Internet Plan has been slashed to Rs 450 from Rs 650. Both these new plans offer 100 local SMS absolutely free. For prepaid data cards and prepaid data FWP users, E-recharge of Rs 701 has also been launched for unlimited internet usage. --------------- Not sure if it is only for new customers in Punjab circle
