  1. I have used reliance gsm (smart), it has poor services and coverage presently. Balance is not deducted immediatly so you cant make std call below 50/- may be they will update it. Reliance will certainly save its existing customers by expanding coverage but i dont think it will get much customers in other already saturated areas.
  2. Speed in gprs connection depends upon many factors, like no. of users under your BTS, signal strength etc. I am getting ~15MB data transfer at an average in one hour in browsing. If i download using download manager, it goes upto 18MB. I am using bsnl gprs via BT. and previously when bsnl u/l plan was 350/- pm, there was not too many users in my area, as airtel is providing u/l gprs @100/- pm
  3. I am using it on my pc via bluetooth, so it is possible.
  4. Yes, by any of above method. Charges: post paid:200/- unlimited or 50+0.01/KB (5MB free) prepaid:0.02 per KB speed: ~40kbps
  5. Browsing In R-surf

What are the charges? Rs 0.50/min? Its too high for browsing on PDA/mobile. as you can not fully utilize speed. R-connect charges should be lower. In gprs you can get unlimited plan for 100- 200/- pm. R-connect charges should be volume based, with unlimited plan under 500/-. Further RIM should provide full wap/web access with download facility under R-surf.
  6. Browsing In R-surf

I forgot to mention: in gprs enabled handsets we can browse full internet. is there any way to do it on RIM handsets? PS: i have made this post from my mobile with bsnl gprs
  7. Browsing In R-surf

i was browsing wap using LG6130, i could not open midi files or wallpapers from wap sites. is it this set's problem or all RIM sets have same restriction? when i use GSM hand set with GPRS, i can download midi, jpg, 3gp, jar, sis or any content from wap sites (or even from web sites), does any set from RIM support this? if not then reliance R-surf is crap. as these days you can find a lot of stuff free on web and wap sites, why to pay RIM for downloading ringtones and viedeos?
