no way.... Enjoy............ This is possible....check the posts here... http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?showtopic=8738 Cheers Diego is a software to control Nokia CDMA phones. You can change the right hand soft key...here are simple steps...Would recommend that you check the cable connection properly before proceeding. 1. Connect your handset to the computer, and start Diego. 2. Go to Phone Settings --> Read All from phone. 3. Click on Save to File. Save the file in a secure location, Might be helpful to restore the phone to its original state if something bad happens. 4. In the PRI ID Settings browse to:Generic Features --> Menu & User Settings Features --> Operator Menu --> Operator Menu Settings 5. Click on Operator Menu Right Softkey Name, and delete R-World. 6. Click on Write ALL to Phone 7. Updated data will be written to phone, and the phone will restart, go into local mode, and then again restart. Do not disconnect the phone from PC while the process is underway. 8. You are done. Right Softkey is now set to Names (which is the default setting for Nokia)

Huawei bags RCom’s $600 mn GSM contract 22 Jan, 2008, 0020 hrs IST,Joji Thomas Philip & Deepshikha Monga, TNN NEW DELHI: Telecom major Reliance Communications (RCom) is learnt to have awarded a nationwide GSM rollout contract for electronics valued at about $500-600 million to Chinese telecom network major Huawei. The contract is for the 14 circles for which the telco recently received GSM spectrum. When contacted, an Rcom spokesperson declined to comment. However, according to sources, advanced negotiations went on over the past weekend and the announcement on the contract is expected shortly. Rcom’s equipment contract to Huawei would be the first nationwide GSM rollout contract for electronics and more contracts for various equipment categories are expected to be signed over the next couple of weeks. Under its GSM rollout plans, Rcom plans to invest over Rs 6,000 crore in GSM electronics alone. Rcom got GSM licence in December 2007 and the department of telecom (DoT) allotted it spectrum for 14 circles early this month. The GSM operators’ body, Cellular Operators’ Association of India (COAI), continues to oppose DoT’s move to allow dual-technology operations and is currently involved in a legal battle with the telecom department over the same. Rcom has been allotted 4.4 MHz of start-up spectrum in the 14 circles by DoT. Reliance, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Reliance Telecom, already offers GSM services in the remaining eight circles. Rcom had earlier floated the tender for 80-100 million GSM lines, valued at around $6-billion and touted as the country’s largest order for telecom equipment and one of the largest worldwide. The order, spread over a three-year period, is likely to be finalised in the next few weeks. The order will have both 2G and 3G components. It would be a major win for Huawei too, which lost out on the BSNL tender for 45.5-million GSM lines. The BSNL tender was later halved to 22.75 million GSM lines and was bagged by global equipment majors Ericsson and Nokia-Siemens. Rcom will roll-out GSM services in the 14 circles within the next couple of months and is expected to offer tariffs that are up to 30% lower than the prevailing GSM call rates. Rcom said the rollout of GSM services would help it target the fast-growing subscriber additions of 6 million GSM subscribers every month and address the telecom requirements of the existing 172 million GSM customers with the launch of nation-wide GSM network in addition to its CDMA network. Maybe he was referring to this service. Thats right Arun. The service is quick and i use it often. Also you cant have group's with similar names. Which means once you create a group the name is exclusive like an email address. I own few groups. Maybe m lucky to have a group Named "Mumbai" as it was not registered that time and now I own it, also NewDelhi,Proudindian,Discounts....etc...
-
I am already using similar service for free. I send messages to groups, which is free. These messages carry a 20-30 characters ad with it. But still doesnt matter as you can communicate to a single number or a group in fraction of seconds and that too free of charge.

TDSAT turns down COAI plea against grant of new licences 13 Dec, 2007, 0157 hrs IST, TNN Write to Editor NEW DELHI: In a blow to leading GSM players, the telecom tribunal on Wednesday refused to grant a stay on a petition filed by the Cellular Operators Association of India against allocation of new licences. This paves the way for the Department of Telecom (DoT) to go ahead with the process of awarding Letters of Intent, followed by licences and spectrum to new entrants. Appearing on behalf of the DoT, Solicitor General G E Vahanvati told tribunal that the government would allot start-up spectrum up to a maximum of 6.2 MHz (per circle) to the new players, which includes CDMA players, who have applied for GSM spectrum. This implies, licences and spectrum will be allotted as per the existing policy on a first-come-first-served basis. Besides, Mr Vahanvati’s statement also indicates that the government does not favour the auction of 2G spectrum as demanded by leading GSM players. Meanwhile, the issue is far from over as industry sources said that GSM mobile operators were exploring the possibility of approaching Delhi High Court against telecom tribunal TDSAT’s decision not to stay government’s process for issuing new licences. TDSAT chairman Arun Kumar said: “This is matter of pubic policy. I would not decide, let the government decide on it.” The tribunal will next hear the COAI petition challenging the new subscriber-linked spectrum allocation norms on January 9. Meanwhile, in a related development, two regional CDMA players — HFCL in Punjab and Shyam Telecom in Rajasthan — deposited the licence fee for launching operations on GSM platform. The move follows the government’s approval to the use of dual technology, under which operators can offer services on both GSM and CDMA technology platforms. HFCL deposited Rs 151.75 crore for Punjab circle, while Shyam paid up Rs 32 crore as licence fees for the Rajasthan circle. As reported first by ET, the DoT is close to awarding LoIs to 22 companies who have submitted their applications before the September 25. With the tribunal refusing to intervene, the DoT is expected to issue the LoIs by the week-end. Importantly, under the existing first-come-first-serve policy, three existing operators—Idea, Aircel and Vodafone—which have already been allotted licences but are awaiting spectrum to launch services, will be placed ahead of these 16 companies in the queue for spectrum. Idea is awaiting spectrum in 2 circles, Aircel in 7 and Vodafone in 6. Once the LoIs are issued, each company will have to pay a Rs 1,651-crore licence fee for a pan-India licence (less if it has applied only for some circles), and wait in queue for spectrum, which will be allotted once the defence forces vacate a part of their spectrum. Unable To Save Camera Captured Pics On Memory Card !
Chirag Thakkar replied to vishal0952's topic in Nokia
This is a problem with the card. Unfortunately the sector where the pic is being saved must have gone corrupt. The only solution to this is formatting the card. Save all Imp data on PC and format. This will resolve the problem. -
Thanks Arun, last we all can expect is having NOKLA or SUNNY ERICKSON phones on reliance...hahaha

Nokia 6275 Worst Experienced Handset Now Gets Support From Bl -5c
Chirag Thakkar replied to jovial_mann's topic in Nokia
I fully endorse this view! And I too have suffered because of Nokia - I got a GSM Nokia which was faulty outta the box! Long story... but in short they are adamant about not giving replacements at any cost ...they just want to keep repairing it. Tried writing to Nokia India also. They do call back, and reply promptly to emails, but its all just nice words and no substance. The product s**ks!! I told them I'd never touch another Nokia product in my life ...and will try and influence any customer who plans to buy one. But they don't give a fig! For sure Nokia's philosophy is that India is a junkyard for their scrap! Guys if so many of us are sufferers then why can't we launch a campaign against Nokia. We are all individual who haven't got what we paid for then why can't we move ahead. I thought may be I am the unlucky 1 to suffer from this but there are so many of them. Why can't we join hands make them know that India is a land of Human Brain Resource and not that anybody can sell anything here. If u guys think I am write then we can give a try to make Nokia know that India is not the Country for you to sell China made handsets which are simply below par. I am just a simple guy who got to know about this side from one of the friends in Orkut & thought this to be a platform to share my views. I hope there must be other platforms where we can put this issue up for our other Indian friends to know about it. can we all make a impact ? Hey Manoj, there is nothing to be hyper about this, the way you mentioned why don't we launch a campaign, you asked me 1 question, right which was "Why will a phone take 4 - 5 Hrs. to get charged ? Is this we expect from Nokia that too in a Phone which costs Rs.12000. " My answer is another question to you "Do you think what all people are talking right now including yourself, like slow charging....Nokia Research wouldnt have thought about this? Buddy you own a single or maybe few handsets, let me tell you that they have 1000's of brains behind making this gadget. Wouldnt they want their handset to get charged in few mins? I stay in Mumbai, so do you think that Reliance Energy or Tata pays them a commission out of the electricity charges used for charging Nokia Mobiles? Dude I know 12000 is hard earned money! But for Nokia they have handsets which are costing 30-40 K and still take same time get charged... -
Nokia 6275 Worst Experienced Handset Now Gets Support From Bl -5c
Chirag Thakkar replied to jovial_mann's topic in Nokia
I dont agree with the complaints of Handset and network....Call drops can be due to network as well... Tell me which Provider gives you perfect network? To be frank enough, I am from Mumbai, when it rains heavy for 6-7 hours, all the networks are jammed, and reliance as usual works normal...anyways this discussion is about the Handset. Remember 6275 is a CDMA handset, most of us start comparing these handsets with similar handsets in GSM segments....This wont make any sense. Battery life in CDMA sets is definetly less compared to GSM as network stability uses more power in CDMA. Lets stop comparing these handsets with GSM phones....yes you can certainly compare the kind of service and networks provided, though they are different techinically....in lehmans term.... I would certainly depend on reliance more then any other network when I am in India.... -
