  1. JIO SIM without LYF handset

JIO SIMs are locked to Lyf phone if they are under preview offer. Currently only employee sims are working on other phones
  2. Remove jio apps and battery should improve drastically...and will also charge when hotspot is on
  3. Remove jio apps and battery should improve drastically...and will also charge when hotspot is on
  4. Will it help if I pull your legs..I'm interested to port...don't know anyone in reliance apart from jio store salesman
  5. Plans are interesting, just that you are bound for years time. Whereas the plan I shared is monthly payment. Plus no taxes.. But the fact is that Internet day by day is getting cheaper and MTNL which once was cheapest is history....
  6. Digressing from JIO--- Since people are talking about Broadband speeds here - Delhi and TN circle...below is what I have...Its local operator. Using for last 6 months with Internet getting disconnected about 3-4 times for few hours... At nights it get about 95% of the committed speeds and during day about 85-90% speed. So I always get above 20 Mbps Speed. After FUP speed is 2 MBPS Special Area promotion is about 200 Rs less then the earlier price...
  7. Liked this argument....
  8. Speed I am getting - Mumbai - Malad
  9. Successfully activated the SIM within about 3 hrs from the time i bought the phone. I am able to use it on other phones but the problem is I am not able to call... As soon as try dialing from my One Plus 2, it says call ended. Data services working fine though. As soon as switch the sim to Lyf phone...both data and calls working fine. Is it something to do with VOLte feature?
  10. Not just a sim. Need to buy a LYF handset as well. Yeah meant that. First time I'm paying for byproduct when actually require only the sim
  11. Finally got my Invite Thanks a ton..will be heading to Digital store to get a SIM
  12. 72 hrs gone, no invite yet....where i was expecting the invite within seconds / minutes...its been 3 days already. Testing my patience. JIO's WOW effect Servers / Process
  13. As per this I don't see Mumbai also. Assuming it's different circle then Maharashtra. Did anyone in Mumbai get the invite or successfully bought the phone with SIM?
  14. I think no other reason, the JIO system is not ready for public sims. the staff were not well trained. the server is also not performing well. Okay, so I haven't received the invite. Any way for me to call them and check? Should not happen that invite is lost in the system issues. Digital express near my house has only 3 Lyf handsets left which are the cheapest ones post that they have all expensive ones.
  15. Did anyone received invite in last 2 days? I'm still waiting for mine. 48 hrs now already. Failing to understand why the invite system is so delayed and not real time. What could be the strategic reason for such delay?
  16. Thanks, my details were updated 2 days back on the sheet and it says "Registered Yes" does that mean invite has been sent? As of now I havent recieved anything. Hence checking. I know it takes upto 24 to 48 hrs to receive one...but wanted to double check
  17. Can I get a invite please. Chirag Thakkar simaria_c@yahoo.com

  19. MNP Retention Offer You Received

After a long experience with Reliance right since its inception into CDMA, finally I have moved out. I was offered retention plan which I have in writing from reliance official and later after a month they said they cannot give me that plan and other freebies. Have left Reliance but my experience was worst as now I dont trust the company at all. Believe me I have few emails in writing, but now when they say we cannot offer that, as a customer what can i do? Better switch.... Have 3 other Reliance numbers and will be porting out soon..
  20. MNP Experience

Frustrated with the Porting Procedure's...Have written a mail to anil ambani & SAC - check the trail below. From: Chirag Thakkar Sent: Sunday, February 06, 2011 11:21 AM To: anil.ambani@relianceada.com Cc: serviceassurancecell@relianceada.com; customercare@relianceada.com; gsm.customercare@relianceada.com Subject: Port out Request not Actioned - Very Frustrated Sir, I am expecting this email will resolve my problem and will also highlight the problems faced by me and many other customers. I am a Reliance customer since inception and I had all complete faith in the Services provided by Reliance, but this time I have been let down. To bring to your notice that I had given a port out request from CDMA to GSM on 28th Jan for 93201XX2XX , which should have been actioned in 7 days (Including the Mobile Clearing house). Today 6th Feb, after 10 days I still have not got the number ported. The only update I have is that its pending with "Mobile clearing house" The frustration is that every customer care executive or the supervisor has told me only things which are available on the system and no one has taken ownership to further check why it has been delayed by Mobile clearing house. If there is a technical issue at the mobile clearing house, then that is not a customer's problem. 7 Days are in lieu and I am sure that includes any downtime a system may have from Reliance end or from any 3rd party. Whilst I appreciate that there is a process involved to get the number ported, I am surprised as well that the structure is missing. As a customer I have no clue who I should approach as I have been told its 3rd Party. I think this will be ownership of Reliance itself as Port Out and Port in are both involving Reliance communications. I am sorry to say that customer care (Including Supervisors) have been of no help or very little help, so again no idea what empowerment has been given to your first line of contact which directly deals with customers. I would want to know when this will be resolved "With specific timelines" not exceeding 8 Hrs. Since I think 3 days of grace has already been given to execute my request. Another frustration is that when a customer does not make a payment reminders are given twice a day to make the payment to have smooth services from Reliance, but when there is a delay from Reliance / 3rd Parties end, customers are not informed even once in a day with the status of the request. Thanks & Regards Chirag Thakkar
  21. MNP Retention Offer You Received

The Offer I have got on my Blackberry - Mumbai Circle!! Was on 899 BES Plan (Unlimited Browsing & Other BB Services) Instead of 899, have now been given 2499 for next 6 months. Matched it to Vodafone & Airtel. Unlimited usage of "rcomwap" as APN (Many apps on BB require this) No additional charge while on Roaming. All speeds in 3G (Hoping they don't block this)
  22. Finally Reliance has MNP page.. http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/customercare/mnp.html
  23. After so many complaints, I have finally managed to get the default caller tune deactivated on my number. It was struggle for me for approximately 45 days before this could be removed on my number. All I kept getting is assurances that it will get deactivated. To my surprise today at Webworld express I was told that this caller tune cannot be removed and its mandatory for Postpaid customers. After sending so many messages and complaints finally its off now my number.
