Hey the 40kbps said there is 40kilobits per second and the 7-10 kb/s you saying is kilobytes per second 8kilobit = 1 kilobyte So there isnt much difference with the average said by the site and ur estimate

Well smsc mostly work in Escotel connections.. In airtel postpaid the reliance smsc worked 2 months baq for 2 months ;p But else u will be charged. So if you want to try out free smsc's try getting escotel prepaid (better to avoid loss)

Most Net Operators give dynamic ip only.. First, Not to waste reserved ip's.. Like if you assign each user with a ip and finally if no 1 dont connect, tat kinda wasted.. Some operators even charge you for giving u static ip (on request)

The 115 speed Reliance says is 115 kilobits/s 8 kilobits = 1 kilobyte So the 4 kb you mentioned is 4x8=32 Kilobits... They say a average of 60-80kbps (kilobits)

Well Reliance is the one which made a revolution in the mobile world.. Its only after they came, that other operators stopped looting the customers.. All operators have problems in billing, activations etc. , Reliance is not the only one. But in case of Reliance the customer base is so high that a small word said somewhere will be heard all over India.. Thats why we hear lots of negative aspects of Reliance than other operators..

I dont think currently you can download tones.. Maybe its for a later use.. They might be planning of introducing content or maybe they are talking about distributing thru R-World
