  1. SMS from Reliance Website

No, that not it. The no. xxxxxxxxxx: is not the from no..There is no from no. The SMS message center (Hyderabad no.) sends the sms without revealing the from no. Also, the Message center no is not revealed on Reliance Handsets. The xxxxxxxxxx: is like a chat thing. Even if they send it as xxxxxxxxxx without : you still not reply to it.
  2. Which Is Better LG 6000 Or LG 6130

Common...!! Is that all you got for Reliance, FREE sms Boy, you are paying an enormous rent of 440Bucks and paying thru teeth for calls . Why stick to DAPO when calling is free on prepaid. DAPO customers are always overbilled, if you dont believe, look at the amount of adjustments you have received, and also the no. of times you have gone to WW acting as a fool or worse calling the stupid CC. Stick to reliance if you dont want high end handset and are ready to use prepaid. Do not upgrade your handsets unless you are a sentimental fool
  3. SMS from Reliance Website

Reliance has no such service yet. Its been mentioned so many times before on various threads in this forum. The mms.ric thing also never works.
  4. Reliance Dapo Users' Petition...

Quit DAPO you senti fools There is no sapna here.
  5. SMS from Reliance Website

Cooool!! Finally someone can start sms service to Reliance phones. But the from no. would be a problem. Hutch has a similar service as a part of its corporate connections (not sure)
  6. SMS from Reliance Website

Can you access it by WAP or R world?
  7. SMS from Reliance Website

Dude, thats the way its supposed to be. Try replying to the number, THERE IS NO REPLY NO. Its no bug
  8. Nope, not yet. Not even with virtual SIM. There are more technical stuff involved. Unlike over the shelf GSM phones, not all cdma phones are compatible with every CDMA network. Its got things to do with, network load, voltage consumption, disturbance and stuff, and not just 900/1800Hz. Reliance compatible handsets mean, only those handsets whoose ESN has been registered, so lets curtail our excitement for now. Its very easy to make an imported handset work on Reliance/Tata/Garuda. Infact some new handsets can home onto any available CDMA network, NETWORK AUTO SELECTION feature. It exist even on Nokia 2280, but is software blocked, can be released with Diego. Guess, I am not allowed to discuss it..BANNED Whatever.Ya... so, even if you program an handset onto reliance network, *228 wont work as the ESN is not registered, even with the virtual sim. All the virtual SIM will do is on OTAF give you a new MIN, for the old ESN. ESN has to be registered previously by network.
  9. Ring Tones Via Sms - 1237 Services

Thats a good idea, should work. As long as the cache (used for preview) and the ringtone (actual one) are not in different formats. So, still no idea of where the ringtones are on 5130 ye?
  10. Gtran Ruim Works On Other Gtrans

You need to do some alterations if you want to use RUIM on Reliance phones, like Nokia 2280. Its very easy once you instal Diego. But, you still wont be authorised to make calls
  11. Ruim

"R World" is not a SOFTWARE. It is possible to program a handset to access "R world", I think it was posted somewhere. You need to use #777 and the user name and password of R world. Code and Vishal know about it.

  14. Gmail Offers Free Pop !

BUMP: Hey thanks man. Deepu our posts coincided. Thank you very much.
  15. Gmail Offers Free Pop !

Yup..!! Works. Just remember to set the TIME OUT to five minutes, because it needs the time (to authenticate and begin downloading). This is a great one, few months ago, the pluggins had to be copied mannually and was a pain, now it is bundled. Great work.!
  16. Gmail Offers Free Pop !

What the settings for Thunderbird? Pop and Smtp server. Free Pops, I tried that a few months back, Email service providers working on "Squirrel mail" worked fine, I could not get Gmail to work on it.
  17. Gmail Offers Free Pop !

Pretender, nothing is SERVICE. Gmail is commercial, and they have ads near your inbox. Its like a MNC, calling itself a NPO, but paying its Chairman (also read Owner) in crores, as salary. I meant they fixed a security bug a few days ago, and since then I could not use PGTGM, dont know why? Thanks for the tip about Thunderbird.
  18. Gmail Offers Free Pop !

Think Gmail has fixed that. I am not able to use PGTGM since a few days. Gmail was also down for maintenance three days ago to fix some security concerns.
  19. MTNL's UNLIMITED Free Calls Phone

Whats the defintion of Local Calls? Is it free Unlimited calls to Landlines.FWP and WLL only. Does calls to GSM (now even Tata and RIM are GSM remeber, or in other words phones with nos. starting with 9 series) considered local calls?
  20. Nokia 2280 'Searching for network'

Listen, its mostly a software issue, and the Nokia Technician may not know what he is talking about. Find another service center. Which reset code did you use? Handling Nokia is tough, you need Diego, proper cables etc. Tough for most people. No, its not easy to re program a Nokia.
  21. SMS problems in LG phones

There you go, new topic. Pull your hair on the 140 charcters or delivery reports now
  22. SMS problems in LG phones

Yes.. !! It works. No problems faced.
  23. Cdma Secrets / Secret Codes

Simple words.. "Phones identity" Defines manufacture, brand and is related to ESN. Banned topic.
  24. SMS problems in LG phones

It does work the other way round, sms sent from TATA phone to Reliance (both FWP and mobile on 93 no. ), I get a delivery report. It works both ways fine here.
  25. Rim Virtual Sim Card

Definetely not free of bugs. Its easier and more common in the GSM world to have two phones with the same number. Point 2, ok, we have a virtual SIM, so thats a scratch card with a number. If you enter this no. onto a phone, then that phone carries your phone no. What if someone gets hold of this no, can they program thier handset with your phone no. then? Is it " Cloning for Dummies? " Just talking about the security issue here
