  1. My New Htc Bluetooth Headset!

I have a Nokia BH 800 BT headset as well. Voice reception at the receiver's end is way better using the BT clipped to the shirt than the single ear type headset. I used both and have been asking my callers about voice clarity opinion. With the HTC BT headset there's virtually no drop in voice quality at the other end. I couldnt get the same response when they were taking my calls while I used the Nokia headset. BTW my earphones are "in ear canal" type phones, so audio quality for voice or music is just too good.
  2. My New Htc Bluetooth Headset!

^^^ It came to about £40 ( which is a tad on the higher side) I think it would be a little cheaper in the US or elsewhere, but since I had a friend coming down from UK I got it from there. Been using it all day. Audio quality is superb (I'm not using the earphones that came alongwith the headset as I already own a pair of high end Shure ear pieces) and incoming voice clarity should be heard to be believed Its really good.
  3. @kshah: True. But then, for the last year or so I have been using Airtel "Postpaid" and Reliance... "Prepaid"!!! GSM is so much more convenient, we CDMA guys placed too much faith in Reliance. Now I'm just looking out for a top of the line GSM phone which has the best features for texting. Karki suggested Sony Xperia, I think that phone is going to absolutely rock!!
  4. Htc Tweaks

Thanks Dhiraj & mgdelhi. Anybody have the cab to add INR currency to the regional settings too?
  5. Htc Tweaks

Thanks Dhiraj !! Yep, mine has only 2 rings on it Any specific name for this "3 ring" 3.5 to 2.5 convertor boss? If you could mail me details on what you used on your search string or post it here, would be awesome. Btw which model of Sennheisers are you using? I know they rock, but check out Shure SE420 (they're extremely expensive, I got it as a gift though) If you have one high quality earphone it takes care of all ear phone requirements permanently, dont you think? Oh and my NEXT request to all fellow ppc users. Does anyone have a cab file/ tweak to change currency to INR in regional settings? I'm not using Hetal's ROMS, so I dont have Indian currency by default. A Screenshot of my present WM Firefox theme running on SpbShell 2.1 (check out the awesome Internet and Messaging icons, they absolutely rock) If any of you guys want it just let me know, I'll upload it here (Dont know how many "Mogul" users are eating their hearts out... Go Touch!!!!! ) Just kidding though, but I guess Spb Shell runs better on Touch than Mogul hehe
  6. BIRTHDAY WISHES!

Happy birthday guys!! sandeepm(41), kp_dude(30), Dheeraj(22), cracker(22), HetalDP(30), varun sharma(23), rakeshg59 (This comment only to guys among you who booze) When are you breaking out the bottles for us RIMwebians?
  7. Shucks I thought Tina was divorcing Anil....
  8. Htc Tweaks

Does anybody know if the audio output from Mogul/Touch is stereo? When you use the earphones that come bundled with the handset, you do get both channels, but the earphone jack used by the native HTC earphones are mini-USB. I've tried connecting a high end earphone (Shure) with 3.5mm stereo jack to the phone, using a 3.5mm-2.5mm jack converter, which is in turn then connected to the 2.5mm earphone socket on the Headset adapter supplied with the phone. But when I use this mode of earphone connectivity, the output is mono, aka, you can get the sound signal only in left channel. Is this because the native audio output signal on the HTC is mono ??
  9. Touch Commander 3.2

Sorry boss. I did a helluva lot of googling. Couldnt find the version you're looking for.
  10. Does this imply we can go back to using RelMobileWorld connection on the phone like before or should we wait for further confirmation? Unlike most of you guys, I'm on a pre paid connection so I have no idea or hope of charges being refunded back to me in case the tariff is still Re.1/10kb.
  11. Mp3 Player For Htc Touch

Slide 2 Play is a pretty slick looking player but the main issue I had with it is that it does not support playlists. You can't compile your songs into different collections and play them. It plays all the files it sees, including your ringtones and sms alerts along with your songs, all in one big list, and thats it biggest drawback. Probably a later version will come with playlist support. Its got fantastic album art display though
  12. Seems pretty similar to Airtel's Special 225 Plan that subscribers have been able to use since the last 18 months in Kerala.
  13. Unlike the Symbian platforms where you have the option of texting or beaming (using bluethooth) your contacts as business cards to somebody else who wants the same info from your contacts list, the only option on Windows Mobile is to beam it via bluetooth. Is there a method to send out contact info from your address book in the form of a business card through SMS?
  14. Need Resolution: How To Send Business Card

sorry guys, that file I uploaded contains a keyg** and I didnt think it was proper to post that sort of a file in the normal forum threads. Its too small a file to upload on rapidshare, if anybody has other suggestions on how to pass it around please let me know, or I'll mail it to you
  15. Need Resolution: How To Send Business Card

@ Deepak: That link is to a post in the Techie Enclave where I've posted the file. I just checked the link once again. Its working fine.
  16. Htc Tweaks

Not sure what exactly you mean . Could you elaborate on that "You cant see the number"... What does it show up as, when someone calls ? Dark screen and only the ring tone or is it something else??
  17. Htc Tweaks

I have compiled a list of entries for registry key editing to get the default sounds, in the attached notepad file. Please use it and reset values as shown in that file. It should get your default dtmf tones back. Do let me know if it was successful in solving the issue. default_tone_settings_touch.txt
  18. Need Resolution: How To Send Business Card

    Thanks karki!!
  19. Htc Tweaks

@Dhiraj: Might be an issue since you're running on a custom ROM? I just uninstalled it and my keypad tones were working normally again. As you know I'm running on original Sprint, so that may be why its still working fine. Not sure.Give me a little time, I'll search around and see if something can be done to fix your problem. I put the vibration cab back on after checking if there were any issues. I preferred the touch sensation to hearing the tone sounds
  20. Need Resolution: How To Send Business Card

Look at my post in the thread" Request For C****s And K**gens For Ppc Softwares., Windows 5": The Link is here
  21. Need Resolution: How To Send Business Card

Thanks for the help guys. I've resolved the issue by using a software that lets you send contact info from your phonebook as sms text to any other person. I have uploaded the software and c**** in the Techie Enclave section under the softwares thread with a short detail on how to use it
  22. Need Resolution: How To Send Business Card

But the option to send business card in SMS format is there in Nokia 6265, boss.
  23. New Smart Phone From Palm

lol what's the point when its gonna be on a Reliance network??
  24. I've shot off a letter to Dot Public Grievance Cell as well. Let's see what comes of it. Btw this is the DoT PG email address for others who might like to do the same. dotpg@bol.net.in Dot PG Cell Phone # 011-23356666
  25. As Dhiraj and tanveer stated, investing in high end handsets specific to cdma networks and then chucking the connection is not the way to go about it. Most guys (including me) dont have much of an option using the imported cdma handset, which I've come to love, on another cdma network which would give me a vast network like Reliance. What they have done has come as a bolt out of the blue, but I think everyone should calm down and tackle this issue in a rational manner. Keep in mind what Reliance "can do" in future if we blindly expect them to give us top of the line service. There will ALWAYS be a catch in their service and they will extract their pound of flesh from us somewhere down the line. I would suggest we escalate the issue with the governing authorities in Reliance and the Govt, and at the same time "reduce" our dependancy on the Reliance network (or for that matter any single service provider) by diverting a good chunk of our mobile usage between multiple service providers.
