My Vodafone number started. Atleast some good news to share. Called them and changed plan to new red 499 which has incoming and outgoing free for both local circle and roaming + 20gb internet /month. The customer care representative was pretty excited and added that with this plan I will get insurance also if my handset gets lost. I said thanks but no thanks. No news wrt airtel. coz mine is a corporate connection, the same will be changed to my name and also ported its an airtel outlet with the board saying airtel express.

but i did not receive any sms abt that. even the airtel guy never said anything of this sort. he says he will call me by evening for either the pic or for id proof again once he hears from them.

they asked for address proof + one pic. so seems the warehouse forgot to enter my form. But then how come the verification happen. ps The airtel guy said that my pic was missing from the form so they have asked for the docs to be sent back.

MNP s**ks in india big time. My personal experience with my 2 postpaid numbers - vodafone : docs submitted on 4th Nov, docs show up at vodafone on 7th, green signal given on 11th, i recv sms of welcome to Voda today ie 17th but still rcom sim is working? airtel - docs submitted on 7th Nov, verification done on 8th. Nothing happens till 16th when i decide to call their Customer care. They say they have not received any port request from my number. Ask me to visit where I gave the docs. I visit them yesterday to find my data was never entered. They say they had forwarded my docs and all but seems at the next stage, my data was not entered. Surprisingly how come my verification was done if my data was never entered? Now they r tracing my docs and what worries me is that my docs may get misused if they r untraceable. What are my options here? seems the Airtel MNP process will start again today. All hail Airhell

spoke to their customer care the lady was polite enough to tell me that they recvd my docs on 7th inspite of my giving them on 4th and asked me to count 10 days from 7th for the porting to be successful. guess the rush is responible for the delays

9 days of vodafone port request and nothing from them. no wonder they are lagging behind airtel.

gave docs last saturday for vodafone and tuesday for airtel. airtel verification guys came the very next day but no news from vodafone. No sms either from any of them.

finally ported both my numbers , one to voda and one to airtel. Both said it wud take around a week to port. Took infinity 499 plan in airtel which has everything unlimited both at home circle and also while roaming + 20gb data. This is new plan which earlier costed for 649. In Voda i took the 299 plan ( 6 months validity thereafter will become 399 plan ) with everything unlimited except outgoing in roaming is chargeable + 20gb data free.

i am using Reliance 4G sim in OnePlus 3T and even i got the port code without asking.

had that been the case. they wud not have asked all their retailers to shut shop and not give termination letters to 3000 of their employees. further, like they chased us to get LTE sim from CDMA. they cud have made an effort to help people migrate to 4G LTE sim from 2g and 3g sims Sharing my personal experience, while the cdma migration happened. i had a 8 digit landline number since DAPO days or about and they offered me a free gsm telephone with a 2g sim. Had they been a little pro active, they cud hv migrated me to a 4G LTE sim and handset but not to be. They have fallen in a self created mess by forcing us out of the cdma network which anil wanted to free for his big bro. I would have happily continued with 4G LTE but the way they shut shop in gujrat and Bengal is an eye opener and in crystal clear terms not worth taking risk with your primary numbers.

Jio doesn't have post paid. Also I have 2 jio connections - one with JioFi and the other 1500 phone. I need two post paid connections, so apart from Airtel and idea being not worth it though in Dec.... idea and voda will merge, there r no other options.

Delhi circle. We rcom customers r in a lot of demand. This 299 plan is a special plan for us. Validity is 6 months after which they may increase it by 50 bucks or so . Idea offers same plan for 1 year.

Postpaid. Y u say not to go for postpaid with Voda?

Since I have 2 numbers, I am going for Airtel and voda. Both r offering unlimited calls +20gb data in 299. Validity of plan 6 months. Idea is giving the same plan for 1 year. The number of calls I am receiving from these operators is very irritating. Also the automated voice solicitation before u make any call is a pain u want to get rid of asap.

Recvd 2 port codes without even asking for them - Delhi circle. One is landline and other is corporate plan. Feel sad that I will have to bid goodbye to rcom. Have been using it since DAPO came out with the same DAPO plan. Adios rcom.
