    well i m using a plan that is quiet economical & fits to my needs.

    i m using airtel broadband.

    Rental rs 250 download 200mb 100pulses free on phone.

    add on pack rs 100 unlimited surfing during nite (9 pm to 8 am).

    speed uptp 256 kbps.

    so monthly bill around Rs 400 inclusive taxes.

    But its almost like unlimited plan. since i surf mostly in nights.

    Earlier i was using tata indicom broadband which was Rs 421 & 500 mb, 256 kbps speed. i was more satisfied with its speed but it was expensive as it has limited mb's.

    I feel that if we analyze our surfing habbits we'll find that among all the surfing we do only 40% is meaningful & informative rest 60% is unwanted & mostly its time killing.

    if u r not a desperate downloader of movies & games through p2p then i think 1gb/month is enough for surfing.

    Even when i asked for a plan change i was told that advanced rental will be charged & the amt which i 'v paid as advance rental earlier will be kept as a safe amount & it will be adjusted at the time of termination.

    Now in my bill i was charged the new plan rental on pro rata plus one month complete rental (that is what called Advance rental).

    No other company charges rentals in advance. & if there is some balance left it is adjusted in the next bill.

    I also have indicom & idea connection but never faced this advance rental mess. :clap:

    Today i got a sms from reliance, it says..

    Dear reliance customer, get the newly launched nokia6275with 2megapixel camera, 256mb memory, bluetooth, FM and mp3 playerat just Rs 11,750/-

    Now why is it 11,750 when all my friends at rimweb have bought it for less amount ? Are reliance people giving anything extra ?

    This always surprises me that if i call c.care twice for same problem i always get two different replies.

    One person simply denies that it cant be done & the other person comes out with a solurion.

    not only in reliance, but i'v also been calling to idea c.care there also the same situation exists.

    i dont know why this happens? :P

    i believe c.care exec. should be very techy people & atleast they should have complete knowledge about their product & troubleshooting.

    ^^^ the free incoming for the TATA phones is it restricted to calls from TATA to TATA, or are the incoming calls free irrespective of ON-NET or OFF-NET?

    well Sanket, this free incoming while roaming is only regulated for 750 mins /month. while earlier free incoming was not restricted to certain minutes. u can receive free incoming calls from any operator be it gsm, cdma or landline. it is not only restricted to only tata phones.

    yes agree with drsoham. infact i too was using njp124 in my alternate no before shifting to njp199 which is more value for money

    but according to reliance website njp199 is a regional plan which is only available in punjab. How can u have this plan in other states ??

    is there any other plan which have have monthly rentals less than njp 124 ?

    Hi,

    I called up c.care seeking for some plan with minimum monthly rental & this guy suggested me a new plan njp124,

    monthly rental Rs 124

    no extra clip or plan charges.

    calling rate 50p /min to mobiles

    rs 1/ LL.

    its a new regional plan as he told me but its not mentioned any where on the website.

    But i think this plan is much better than Prepaids. :winko:

    It appears to be a good phone. But is this handset being sold by any service provider rel or tata ? or do we have to purchase it from nokia & get it activated ?

    does it supports r-uim & t-sim ?

    what is the price difference between microSD & miniSD ?

    TATA has done a marvellous job.....

    I salute them and I wish best of luck for their customer frinedly endeavours.

    Reliance thinks technology is a burden but I always beleive if you could deliver a product with quality then people will be ready to pay you more.

    I ask Reliance to learn few lessons from TATA.

    Hats off to TATA.

    well for sure tata has done good job. Unlike reliance They have great plans to offer which are very user friendly.

    for eg. onnet calling pack for rs 75, 3000 national sms to any mobile rs 50, free roaming(no rentals). free incoming on roaming for rs 150. std & on roaming incoming rs1 for rs100. these value packs can be clubbed with any plans.

    Such kind of features we can only dream of getting on reliance.

    Moreover reliance c.care is so pathetic, they tell u a different story whenever u call them for any assistance.

    After comparing both rel & tata i find tata stresses more on giving benefits to their customers & rel insists on making more money from their customers.

    Hi,

    i went to a tata dealer & i saw this handset Haier T1100C. This is a basic color phone but this is perhaps the most beautiful looking cdma phone i have ever seen. Moreover it only costs less than 3k.

    hi,

    although i'v read all the previous posts regarding free std toa particular no. or cheap sts rates, but all previous posts failed to provide any foolproof solution. So i m putting a new thread asking the same question again.

    Is there any plan on any mobile service provider which can offer free std to a particular number ? ( precisely between delhi & bombay).

    what can be the cheapest std rates that one can avail?

    I need yor suggestions.

    i got this plan Nj199 soho activated on my number a month ago.

    This is really a great plan as it gives

    Rs 150/- free talktime

    rs.50/ min on rel & gsm numbers

    rs 1 / min on local landline

    rs 2.4 for std

    I only have one connection on my name & i was able to switch to this plan by calling C care.

    But to my surprize, nobody in the customer care knew about this plan, first they simply said that there is no such plan & then i really had to convince them to check their systems, Finally, after making me hold for 15 mins & consulting their superiors, the c care executive agreed & activated this plan.

    This plan is not mentioned anywhere in the website also.

    I believe this plan must have been introduced to be given to limited individuals, thats why this plan was'nt advertised at all. :grin:

    great find, man. but will it work in India? and on CDMA networks? if yes, all 6265 users can buy TATA ruim and use both the services providers' services.

    Everyday i get a stroke like this which makes me hate using Reliance .. :)

    well there's no need to fell so happy about the 2 in 1 sim card holder product.

    I bought such a product for my GSM phone & i found it useless.

    If u have 2 sim card & only 1 handset , u can use it.

    Evyrytime u switch on ur mobile it takes the alternate sim as base sim, & u cannot make calls from other sim & also to receive calls from other sim, u have to divert all calls fro that sim to the active sim number.

    So, ultimately i found this product bul**** & useless as it proves to be a pain in ther ***.

    Moreover it also rapes the hansets as it is not well positioned in the handset.

    So i suggest its better to carry two cheap handsts than using such product.

    hi,

    i am new to RIM & also to RIMweb.

    i seached the forum but i could not find the meaning of some basic terminologies that are used in almost all the threads.

    I could not get the exact meaning of terms like ONNET, intra circle, inter circle, STV and some other terms which are most commonly used.

    I request u all to please add & explain all the technical terms & abbreviations on this thread, so that new joiners may get familiarised. Thanx :confuse:

    yes u can syncronise it with either usb or serial cable

    i have tried with usb cable, i have bitpim 8.0 & the lg rd2530 pc sync software, but the phone is not being detected by both the s/w. both s/w give message phone not detected.

    Plz tell the right method to connect.
