Hi,
I have two Nokia Handsets Nokia 6265 & Nokia 3110c (gsm).
Whenever i connect both the phones to my pc through data cable they do not install the required drivers like OBEX, Modem driver etc (which the handset install automatically when connected to a pc for the first time). I have tried it on different pc but in vain.
Although i m able to connect both phones using bluetooth dongle but in this case i m not able to use my phones as modem.
I'v aslo googled for Nokia OBEX drivers but i m not abel to download it as the download page Nokia website is not available or it has been removed.
Plz suggest what shoul i do to connect my phones through a data cable? & where can i find these drivers.

Tata Indicom is allowing its customers to bid for premium numbers which are auctioned online.
One can login, bid for a particular no. & buy it at if the bid is won.
Although this site is under construction for a short while. it may start working again soon.

at this price it is a bit expensive handset. With better features Nokia N70 is available at same price.
This handset should be priced around 7k
-
I think somewhere between 8-9k should be the fair price. Others can correct me if I am asking too less or too much which is possible coz I am not a pro for this kind of deal.one of my fried bought the same chinese dual sim/ touchscreen/ pda handset for 7k in Delhi.
But i dont think that it is wise to spend even a penny on these unbranded , unreliable chinese handset.
Moreover, few days back there was a news that intelligence agencies are very much troubled becouse of these chinese handsets as they dont have any imei no., no bill , no identity.
It may be possible that in days to come these chainese handsets may be banned or some regulations may be imposed.
So thinkg twice before buying an unbranded/unbilled chinese handset.

Nokia 6275/6265 have following drawbacks..
1.Only 500 phone book memory (u can not expand it)
2. only 100 sms capacity ( u can not expand it or back up your messages, sooner or later you have to delete them)
By adding a memory card you can only expand Gallary memory for songs & pic but not expand sms/phonebook capacity.
It has somewhat better battery life ( as compared to other cdma handsets) but not as good as their gsm counterparts.
The battery can give you around 3hrs talktime.
Call quality & network are much better than other handsets.
But i suggest you better look out for some other handsets. Wait for sometime & see previews of Samsung MAX, it seems like a promising handset.

Battery of Haier sets don't last. These cheap handsets are not good.I wonder why a person who is ready to pay even 15,000 to 20,000 rupees for a GSM handset looks for sub-1000 rupees handset when subscribing to CDMA. The same person remain contended with cheap and not-so dependable handsets when question of CDMA network comes. This is the reason, the handset market in CDMA is confined within a few handsets only.
people are ready to shell out money to buy expensive CDMA handsets provided ....
1. They give value for money
2. Open to use with any operator (unlocked)
But unfortunately these CDMA service providers do not take any initiative to to provide good handsets at resonable rates.

@Praveen
i called those foolish tata cc they did not know anything about this plan then i called tata corpotrate marketting dept even they did not knew about this plan.
well u r using thios plan for almost an year, maybe at that time this might be a limited time special scheme. or maybe this plan is not available in any other city except yours.
hard luck for us.
-
but the bad news is that it only works for GSM not CDMA
-
this includes mobile emi of 175.00 tooyou can take a cell phone with this commitment
Which handset are they giving with this plan ? what is its cost ?
what would be the plan charges if we don't take the handset ?
can we convert our existing tata indicom plan to this this Uyl plan ?
Please clearify praveen.
( i can say if this plan rental is Rs 324 pm [ 499 - 175 for handset], then perhaps this is the best plan available )
-
6275/6265 have Nokia Series 40 platform it does not have a symbian platform so u can not run .sis files on it although .jar files runs smoothely on it.
-
hey, if anyone has bought & using it then plz share your experience & personal views about this phone.
-
even i was lookin for such a software through which i can check (java) games & applications on my pc before installing them to my phone. If anyone finds such software plz post it soon.

Arun u posted this a bit late.... I just bought a laptop 2 months back & that too after discussing with fellow members.
Anyways, i dont know how the US people researched about it as i 'v not seen many people using a laptop keeping it on their lap.. Reason it actually emits a lot of heat from sides & below & it becomes impossible to keep on your lap for a long period, moreover the typing position is not comfortable in this position.

hey this plan is not avb when i contact ccpls help
well that is the bad news which i mentioned above....."This plan is only available in Mumbai,Maharastra & Goa" region.
But don't worry Praveen, i think this is a good plan & Tata will surely make it an all India Plan soon
Actually the trouble with tata is that Two different sub-companies manage Tata Indicom. One Handles All India Region & the other Manages "Maharastra & Goa" Region, that is why there are differences between plans, offers & tariff rates. -
^^^My dear friends, this seems to be a good plan. But Free Value calls are restricted. Like you can make free calls : Tata 2 Tata only 555 minutes, Tata 2 Other mobiles only 555 minutes & Tata to Landlines only 555 minutes.
It would be better if these free calls of nearly 1655 minutes offered for calls to any phone.
Anyways, this plan can be suitable for some subscribers.
Regards.
Yes Dear i agree with your point.
If they would have given 1655 free value flat on any phone then it would have been better. But for 555 rs, how can they give flat free value of 1655 ?
But u must remember that service providers are there to earn money.
They will never give any "Super Plan" to their subrscibers, they will always keep something missing in it otherwise nobody will go for other plans offered by the company.
But what i feel missing in this plan is STD rates. they are offreing STD @ Rs2, if it would have been Rs1, or else they would have given some free value on std, then in a way u can call it a complete plan.
-
Hi,
A new plan 'Power 555' has been launched by Tata.
It's an excellent plan for Heavy Local users.
Features:
Monthly Rental : Rs 555
Local call rate : 55p to mobiles
sms rate :Local- 50p / National 1rs
Std : Rs 2
Free Value : Free Local Mins T2T-555,T2M-555,T2LL-555 & free 555 T2T local SMS.
I think that its a really very cheap plan for Heavy local users.
But its only available in Maharastra & Goa region.

@anuragzThe intention is not to hurt you but to make aware of simple procedure followed in forums( reading before replying...).
If you feel that you've not made mistake so be it.
I don't have any objection to it as long as you're not guiding co-remwebians in a wrong direction.
As far as my experience goes "Can't read the posts above before posting new query?" is a very mild statement like friendly pat. If your brain interprets someother meaning I'm sorry for that meaning(which I frankly don't know).
There's always better words & sentences available to explain your point.
If your words can be interpreted in a wrong way then its only b'coz of your inability to use words properly.
& as far as "Friendly Pat" is concerned.... English language has a lot of 'exclamatory' words to do that task.
I only wanted you to write in a better way. No hard feelings
-
Can't read the posts above before posting new query?@ Kesav
i can understand that u are an expert analyst for mobile phones but my friend i'd rather suggest that u better read above post properly before posting reply.
I'v clearly mentioned that the Samsung CDMA cc (chat present on samsingcdma.in) has clearly denied that it will not work on tata as it has been launched by reliance. Moreover Samsung MAX is not available on tata outlets.
I just wanted to ask that "Has any Samsung MAX user tried to swap Tata/Reliance ruim?"
& above all This is a decent forum where queries & replies are posted with decency & manners.
So, we'll all appreciate if u too follow the forum's custom.
