My mo no. is 932xx 55261. While other operators are gearing up for MNP, Airtel is offering new numbers. Is it not ready for MNP? Although, this msg is not from Airtel, i guess? I am not airtel customer and not even remotely connected to airtel.

Not long back MTNL in mumbai has provisioned 95-level access for Short distance call to areas adjoining Mumbai as also to Pune. That actually translated to 12-digits (5 + 7 as in 95250 + 7-digit). Thankfully, they have again reverted back to old STD code system. However, 10 digit unified system is good. And there is no need to substantially change anything. Just make STD codes part of the phone number and you are done. It will be same as in mobile as starting 3/4 digits will identify location/circle.

To keep things simple, corporate connections can be taken on Corporate/Company name. Why use individual or personal name? Main issue is fixing the responsibility for (mis)use of mobile number. If operators take written agreement for responsibility then I think theres no problem to the operator atleast.

Oh I just missed it.. I booked a ticket from Mumbai to Ahmedabad on 4th Aug. But there was no hint of discount on GoIndigo website neither on travel site. Check multiple site and compare rates before booking. I find that Travelocity.co.in gives the lowest rates. Also there are may discount offers on Return journey rather than one-way.
