hmmm i dont use DNS server's i think having better speeds is more important that cacheing the DNS's and on other hand i think my ISP already caches the frequent DNS queries and so y the fu*k should i load MY already DEAD system with more resource eaters
-
the prices i think might be somewhat similar to what @preset !! may be early bird customers might get some good discounts what i personally feel os that let ECONOMICS play the main ROLE there should be no pakages system!! all should be individual channels and with that prices should reduce or increase as per demand i heard it on the cable TV that these fu*k*n STAR people are charging 60 for the same pakage as what they charge in pakistan for 14RS or so!! i say to stop this let DEMAND play the game charges will automatically come down

According to the inter connection guidelines made available by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), all content providers have to make their channels available on each others’ DTH platform for details read the first post so sony , star , zee and everything will be avaliable on DTH! but i think it will take time

almost all ISP's provide 1mbps+ connection reliance & mtnl gives 1mbps connections to homes http://mumbai.mtnl.net.in/triband/htm/tariff.htm#tariff http://www.relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/Broad...n_postpaid.html u can google about SIFY, VSNL, BSNL, BHARTI they all provide high speed connections ps :- i dont think any one would take such connections for personal purposes they are extreamly expensive food for thought :- reliance provides a 1000 kbps unlmited 24/7 connection for RS 43969 inc taxes under Online Speed Select Plan a 900 kbps unlimted 24/7 connection for RS 41655 inc taxes under Night Unlimited Plans a 1200 kbps unlimted 24/7 connection for RS 8816 inc taxes under Flat Fee Plans (300 kbps * 4 connections) hey i just realised reliance is on eof the cheapest prodiver for high speed internet :'( way to go Dr Ambani

hmmm hard luck !! i dont think the settings u said are applicatble for me 1) as i said i have a pvt ip so im being NAT'ted through sify server 2) i had done a lot of research on it when i took the sify connection, all documents lead to saying that we need a public ip to get a high id might be this may be wrong but cant help it!! i never get high id on pvt ip

Abhay, I hope you have checked out the availabilaty of the required ports for eMule. Setting the correct port forwarding in your firewall may get you a High ID. And if the torrent is really fast (sometimes even goes upto 30 kBps, in my case), then keeping more than 1 torrent may actually prolong the effective download time! Concorrent downloads may only be advisable if the torrents are slower than you max download speed. 1) hey racoon if its true can u give me some more info on how to get high id on emule!! i want lots of stuff thats only avaliable on mule a) i dont have any control over my net connection B ) dont use firewall c) am on ****y sify BB 2) true agreed if we get good speeds on single torrent dont put multiple files on download concurrently! but thats generally 4 out of 10 times most of the times the bandwidth gets wasted coz they download @ lesser speeds so i recommended that option coz u generally get max speeds @ all times, not just some times !! u got my point

If you are correlating the requirement of getting a public ip with optaining a 'High Id' in Emule, then yes I'v always been getting a high id. Sometimes (rarely) speeds in eMule reach 22 kBps ...but fall again, fast ...most likely because I can only upload at around 7 kBps at the max. In general with any P2P application, you should share AT LEAST as much as you take. After all, we are getting stuff only because someone else is sharing! No doubt torrents are probably the fastest way to get stuff ...but no way you can compare torrents with the eDonkey network! You simply wont get even half the stuff that eDonkey has, through torrents. Personally, when Im looking for something I try to find it on torrents, next mebbe on Gnutella; and then on eDonkey... Moral - Don't consider BSNL DataOne or any other asynchronous ISP service if P2P and/or upload speed is important for you. very very true i am a downloader since 5 years and i agree with u that i have never seen a database like emules for file sharing!! u can get absolutly almost anything on emule, but 1) i have a pvt ip and i dont get hi-id and so never get many users to connect onto (highid / low id mess) 2) emule is que based unlike torrents so keep more files concurrently u can get good speeds then**** ****as with torrents its not q based its generally (upload/download) ratio based so u can connect to as many clients possible << in theory and can get exellent speeds a) yeah select some good torrents B ) keep more torrents to download concurrently c) dont even try to reduce ur upload speeds from ur torrent client let it stay unlimited d) use a limiters like NETLIMITER to reduce ur upload speeds from it externally (keep 5 - 8k approx) [limiting it from client dint work for me @least] e) tell me the results currently downloading (laughter challenge dvd - bwtorrents 4.35 gb , + 40 days 40 nights torrentspy 650 mb , + red alert the first decade 7.7 gb) am getting speeds like say 20 - 30 since past 3 days on these torrents*** ***if u want better results on individual torrents then start uploading connection type : (sify unlimted - 256 k down/64k up)

Well, not just for servers, but even if you want to run P2P clients, BSNL ADSL s**ks big time. I hardly get about 7kBps upload throughput, max (on my 256 kbps connection)! And with that kind of upload, P2P networks, esp. like eDonkey, etc, severely cap you downloads! racoon emule dosent require upload speeds it requires public ip yup torrents require good upload speeds though!!! some bl**dy pvt trackers ban u for not uploading now-a-days since most of the stuff is avaliable via torrents and which is the best way, i think having a good upload speeds is as important as download speeds
