hmmm i think he should convert as many as he can users of RTL into RIM and then sell it on other thought he should not sell it to any one but keep the services limited and not let the RTL services to come into the way of RIM. RIM should be givin unristricted growth while RTL should be kept limited. like as in but RINFO should be taken seriously

Anil Takes Over As Chairman Of Reliance Infocomm
abhay replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Communications
well acc to me they both wont use each others services from now on !! i think thats a part of their settlement :'( actully i neva dint want any kinda settlement between them together they could have made it better than ne other company in the world well u can do the math unlimited cash resources from the petrolium buissness and a huge capital intensive but very rewarding technological projects like infocomm (which takes time to establish but is very much profitable in the future) -
Anil Takes Over As Chairman Of Reliance Infocomm
abhay replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Communications
yup i also thought the same thing y the hell dint mukesh use the reliance info network after all its one of th biggest networks in the country and what if it dosent have broadband satellite services it could have take the fiberoptic connectivity frm reliance info after all the connectivity matters and not how the connection is made!!!! for all those ppl contradicting this i would just like to add with connectivity i actully mean constant connection which satellite gives -
Anil Takes Over As Chairman Of Reliance Infocomm
abhay replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Communications
as far as i know that was previous diwali -
you should not forget before reliance even free incomming callz was a dream leave the tarrifs comming down frm 17 rs /min to 0.30 rs / min

GOOD ANALYSIS BHUTES i totally agree with your point that reliance has exponential bandwidth capacity so i can handle a huge customer base!!! hmmm hey by the way thankz for explanin the revenue share adc the example was really intutive
-
hmmm lemme be even more futuiristic 1) how about unlimited local callz(to ne network)* 2) unlimited std to reliance phones all over india* 3) chargable std callz to other networkz* *all but after a montly rental of say 500 may be furthermost 1000 what say ;P

Dot May Restrict Fixed Telephone To Wireline Tech
abhay replied to robbyji's topic in Reliance Communications
as far as i remember these people are gonns remove ADC all the way!!! in the ONE INDIA proposal which says there will be uniform rates across india and so NO STD where dose diffrence between mobile and fixed lin phones come then if there is no ADC -
lets talk about kandivali area MTNL was the first one to go down in mumbai (kandivali atleast) no two was airtel on which i do not have the network still the absolute winner was reliance as its network was the toughest and still its on full since day-b4-yesterday i have two land lines MTNL and RELIANCE three cells AIRTEL/AIRTEL RELIANCE INDIA MOBILE airtel mtnl were of no use yesterday :'(

1) if anil wants to loose eveything he has and go back to the chawl where he lived he will let infocomm die 2) infocomm (cdma) and gsm cannot practically work together because its like the same company is saying that take CDMA enabled phones they are a lot more better than GSM and the same company is again say take GSM phones because they are cheaper lol its very stupid both technologies contaradict each other and cant work together :'( 3) i say reliance infocomm has so much strength left it in that it will be better then all of RIL in years to come look @ it this way some 3- 5 peaople in india out of 100 own phones see the market potential even if arpu is 100 including all services ie 1 mbit internet + cable tv + mobile + land line + all kinds of telecom services in the world(best ones) then @ current suscriber numbers a monthly turn over of reliance infocomm is RS 100 cr now do the math if the suscriber numbers to reliance increases multi folds which is more than possible seeing the growth in the market moral of the story :- nobody is a fool to loose such a profitable buissness just because his brother started it !!!!

you are almost right that the ARPU's are falling but theres a lttle bit to add in there!! the ARPU's are falling but only in voice segment not in data and VAS (value-added services) segment and also we should forget our B & C grade markets which are still untapped they will provide growth and expantion while the A grade segments will provide much needed higher ARPU's due to large demand of VAS from this segment. this is my personal op would like some comments on it ??

i say give anil energy + infocomm and a hell lot of cash reserves then see the magic (actully only infocomm is enough) tech has lots of power in it.

yeah i also belive the same the spectrum should be auctioned. even if it is not used in reducing the deficit it can be used to spur telecommunications in india and gain back the speed @ which the industry was growing a year back. after all guys the govts aim is not to support the companies but to support telecommunications it self and other thing govt should not interfear with lower tarrifs that some companiies want to offer this is the only way the teledencity in india is supposed to increase with lower tarrifs

was very good at the start but now i dont know why the aggressition has decreased yup get more phones with the lower than the lowest packages!!!!! get back the user confidence which has gone down drasticalllllllly strengts = largest network weekness = under utilization of its network strengths = can do must more weekness = growing but the rate is diminishing (launch more services as soon as possible) yeah the major ones would be bharti and bsnl-mtnl recommendation 1) launch and get as many users as possible because the services which you plan to introduce have an eye upon by other bigges as well WIZ bharti , bsnl-mtnl. lauch it as soon as possible recommendation 2) agressevly influnce user psychology urs shares gonna go down othervise eg like bharti did a pan india presence including north-east india. the most stupid thing reliance did accc to me ofcource when it had reliance 700 scheme in landline which enables users to call unlimited to reliance phones which was big previously (cut off nearly 10 per cent of its subscriber base of 1.1 crore) which now make it to some 90 +. in which sitution would you think its would be better to take the scheme in 10% of the whole suscriber base stititution (biggest player in the market) or in the situation where a 4 biggest player in the market ****assuming the calls are free it its own network
-
A EXELLENT MOVE @ a very very very STUPID TIME!!! foxed yeah i'll explain when reliance has to boost about its the 2nd largest network in india after bsnl which is better than its most feirce compititor BHARTI telecom its cuts down its user base by almost 10% (1m). its by far gonna affect the coustomers who were thinking to take reliance rs 700 /month scheme unlimited std to (10 m) reliance users which is now 9m...... this affects user psychology... the user base graph that goes up now reduces majorly about other things disscussed here hmmmmmm reliance cc is one of the best in india . if ne1 thinks otherwise check of mtnl and bsnl u'll get the point

Bsnl Launched Broadband Service Data One!
abhay replied to abhay's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
dude 1) all dial up offer public ip's 2) hell yeah they can . reliance can offer public ips too all their coustomers as they have been doing with powersurfer 3) and the most imp yeah u are right some one like reliance shoudl come up with a scheme in which there ought to be a broadband revolution (in other words they should shut the f*!@# them outta broadband buissness.) what the hell do they think by providing a 1 gb download limit. -
Bsnl Launched Broadband Service Data One!
abhay replied to abhay's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
yup thats for sure they are gonna giv a min 256 kbps speed but one should have a look @ these points this means the tarrifs would increase in 6 months time because the new tarrifs can never be lower than introductory tarrifson over all basis on comparing reliance and bsnl schemes !!! reliance still is the winner but this is what i would opt for plan 750 reliance for a 10 gb limit on a 128 connection on of the most feasible for downloaders ofcource after airtel 128 unlimited scheme for 999 bucks whereas the additional data download charges are also comparetivly low in bsnl's case what can i say "let the compitation come and lets c" just time can tell what do u guys say?? -

yup "it would be passed on to the consumers the very same day :'( " as mr sunil mittal said !! the key point over here to notice is that the operator is free to make a choice between giving the benifit for local calls / national long distance calls (NLD) / international long distance calls (ILD) to the consumers from the ADC. but MR Pradeep bajpal , chairman , TRAI said that it would want the operators to give the benifit in local calls.
