  1. WHY am I opening this topic? I waited for 2 days hoping this time someone else will start this topic and our beloved Rimweb will not be left aloof from the quite revolution sweeping the nation... Please See, Share & Spread... Bharat Mata ki jai... I claim no moral high ground as I run an industry and have to feed these corrupt, as I have already commented elsewhere on this forum that NO business in India is running without feeding these corrupt anywhere in this country. But my anger is seething. I have tried to raise voices against these corrupt but was gifted with my licences being suspended. I have been made an enuch on seeing the faces of 200 people who depend on me for their livelihood; my family, my achievements in life, which I fear to loose. I am a sufferer as well as a perpetrator and I feel nothing short of a "french" style revolution will make any tangible change in this country... We need laws as tough as in Singapore, where even a Taxi driver is afraid of being reported for over-charging. We need death penalties for severely corrupt. We need FEAR in the eyes of the corrupt not in the eyes of the corruptee. Launch raids against top 20-30 most corrupt Chief Minsters and Ministers immediately (my state included) and set a example of them. FEAR should percolate downwards, not the other way around as they want us to believe. Otherwise my Democracy would have failed me...
  2. I would like to start this topic where people can discuss their latest HARDWARE PURCHASE. By Hardware I mean - anything related to electronics, computers, gadgets, Phones, LCD's, Laptops etc. etc. I would like people to add in short why they purchased this piece of hardware. Also its COST & PLACE of purchase - to help others; and a WEB LINK of its specifcations and any other related Link/Topic you have started elsewhere to help others... Let me make a start - I have purchased yesterday a HP LASERJET 1007 B&W laser Printer @ Rs. 5,400/- (MRP Rs. 7000/-) from Nehru Place, New Delhi. Though the extra cartridge still costs around 3K but its easily refilled on the street for 300 bucks.. Link - http://h10010.www1.h...20Printer&cc=in Why - I was looking to replace the cartridges of my old Xerox Phaser 6100 and HP laserJet 5P and their cost was nearly the same as this new printer hardware; so I decided to go for a New Hardware instead... I would request Rimwebian's to kindly contribute en-mass with THEIR LATEST PURCHASES....
  3. News Snippets

I am opening this topic so that anyone can post News Snippets in short... Snippets should be relevant to this Forum unless of course they are major news headlines, which can also be posted.... I am hoping for frequent contributions from all dear members...
  4. Successfully ported a Reliance 4G/LTE number to JIO on 2nd attempt in UP (W) circle. Just make sure to choose the service provider as Reliance 4G/LTE and not Reliance GSM for successful porting.
  5. JioFi2 MiFi

OK, called 198 yesterday and lodged a complaint. Speed was back to 8-10Mbps in the night. But it's really pathetic nowadays in the daytime. Not even 500Kbps.
  6. JioFi2 MiFi

I am facing a unique issue on my Mifi device. My number on Mifi device seems to have speeds throttling by Jio. Even though I have downloaded very less data in the last few days. I checked with a friend's Jio number and he was getting 20-25 Mbps speeds at my home while I was getting only speeds less than 200-300 Kbps. How is this possible? Any solution how to go about solving this? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  7. Got the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Handset for my son through Amazon. It's the 2GB/16GB model. Costed 9998/- It's a dual sim/dual standby handset. If you want to use the micro sd card port to expand memory then you will have to sacrifice one sim. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa Core processor with a clock speed of 1.8Ghz, a 5.5" Full HD display IPS panel, 16MP rear and a 5MP front shooter and a 4000maH battery which easily lasts two days with moderate usage. In the box Front Rear Aluminum body with the top and bottom plastic accents for better reception for the antennas they house. Quite iphone like premium build. Very lightweight for such a big phone and very easy to hold in hand. Bottom view of the micro usb port and the mic The left side has only the sim slot Which opens by this provided tool To reveal this sim housing which houses the sim 1 and sim2/micro sd hybrid slot The right side has the power and the volume buttons which are excellently finished and provide a tactile feel The top view which houses the 3.5mm jack, secondary mic, and yes, a IR blaster. You can use the phone to fully control all your electronic devices. A view of the front facing camera and the earpiece. All other sensors (proximity, light etc.) are hidden and not visible to the eye. A view of the rear camera, dual flash and yes, a very fast and excellent fingerprint sensor. A 2Amp fast charger is provided and even though they do not claim fast charging, I can confirm that fast charging works great. A size comparison with my Asus Zenfone 2. Same screen size but still the RN3 is more compact even after having a much bigger battery. It also has more premium feel in hand compared to the Asus which costed almost twice. Yes, it is VoLTE enabled and Jio compatible The APN setting done by the Reliance World chap, in case anyone is interested The preferred network (according to him) has to be at Global. But none worked for EVDO (till now) About Phone The mobile network state stays at connecting while trying to connect to EVDO While it did connect once while it was on 1x Speeds were pathetic on 1x though But amazing speeds on WiFi Some views of the box and SAR values. It is a MADE IN INDIA product. Cheers for now from dkaile Rest, some points I have discussed on the other "Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 supports CDMA" thread. More inputs to follow here.
  8. JioFi2 MiFi

I received the HR3400 today but no amount of settings could make it work as a repeater with JIO Mifi2 though it is working with other wifi connections. The customer care of the company also tried for 1 hour on the phone and eventually said some IP issue/filter or mac filter or some kind of access control. How did you get it working??? What IP settings etc. Please post a detailed reply.
  9. JIO SIM without LYF handset

Thanks Mukesh. I went to the Reliance Digital store yesterday from where I had activated 2 connections (Jio Mifi2 and Wind3) BUT sadly this offer is not started in UP (West). Maybe in another few days. Cheers...
  10. JioFi2 MiFi

Thanks. Could you possibly give me a step by step guide to put it in repeater mode? The price is quite reasonable (999/-) and if this works covering my entire 2 storied house, this will be a great buy.
  11. JioFi2 MiFi

Purchased JioFi2 yesterday @2899/- Activated in 2 Hours. Wife using unlimited voice on old Note 2 via JioJoin. I am downloading continuous data. Speeds fluctuating between 13~25Mbps here in Meerut. Torrent was downloading @1.5MB/s yesterday (15Mbps). 3GB movie downloaded in about 20~25 minute. Voice interconnect is a slight issue. Called unlimited to Airtel Delhi, Airtel Chennai/Vellore, Idea UPW, Reliance Haryana etc without issues. Now just need a proper range extender to make my experience complete. JIO sabki dhone ko taiyyar hai... lolz
  12. Housefull 2 - Super Duper Hit, haste haste pet mein dard ho gaya. Statutory Warning - Kindly leave your brain at home PS - Really nice to see Ranjeet (Uncle) after a long time as Therapist. Errr... The Rapist...lolz
  13. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 supports CDMA

Don't restore any apps after factory reset and then update. Some app may be interfering. Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk
  14. ^ Take the sim out, hard reset the phone, connect only over wifi after that. Should solve the issue.
  15. I think Xiaomi should start paying me some commission seeing so many handsets being picked up.... lolz
  16. Nope. EVDO could not be started with all efforts. 1x works but only while roaming not at home... Lolz. And Thanks Arun! Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk
  17. It needs to be left alone for sometime and then it should catch signals. If still it doesn't then either the sim is not of the proper RECR series or the phone needs a hard reset. Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk
  18. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

^ After activation, it should. But the big question is whose? It's Jio for 4G, that is clear. But if it's Reliance GSM for 2G/3G it will be pathetic. I think they might be converting their existing CDMA EVDO towers to LTE compatible 3G or something similar. Edit - Some birdie tells me that data might work only on 4G LTE enabled handsets and not on normal 3G handsets. Those can only be used for voice. So lots of confusion. Let things settle down. 19. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Yup, the additional 97 Rs. is for the Prepaid numbers I have. No porting allowed from outside for the time being as only existing RCDMA numbers are being transferred.
  20. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Aa gayi bhai logo, aa gayi....lolz The amount taken per sim is Rs. 25/- (sim cost) + 97/- for 4G Recharge which includes UNLIMITED local and std Reliance calls + 150 minutes of Local & STD calls + 1GB Data for 30 days. These benefits start immediately on existing CDMA sim/number. It is a modern pre-cut sim which you can use in any phone (no need to get it cut from outside). Then you need to sms 4G<space><19 digit 4G sim number> to 1299 from existing cdma sim and you will get a confirmatory message that Dear Customer, your request for 4G upgrade has been registered on SIM <number>. We will update you regarding upgrade. Thank you. RCOM. Please note that the 4G sim is yet NOT ACTIVATED and you can't use it. They are saying that it should be activated max by 5th May. After activation you get an additional 10GB 4G data for one month besides the above benefits. So that is the exercise till now. Cheers...
  21. Remove the sim and reset the phone. after reset do the initial setup without sim with the help of WIFI.... out of box, it is working..even after update data is working.. Thanks. That is what I told you to do in the first place -
  22. Please do let the community know what exact steps you followed so that anyone else having the same issue may benefit. Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk
  23. Well it worked after a factory reset for me. Try what commonman suggests too.
  24. Did you do complete factory reset? Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk
  25. Try doing factory reset and trying again only on wifi without sim. It will connect with Google Play. You might also need to update to latest system update, but after that data goes off usually on Reliance CDMA. Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk
