nonsense. if you keep your cell's network selection on manual and you leave your circle and enter into a new circle, you will be asked to choose a new network EVEN IF IT IS YOUR OWN SERVICE PROVIDER'S CIRCLE. So you're made aware of the fact that you're in roaming. If you set your network selection to automatic then you wont be alerted that you've entered a roaming location. Unfortunately such settings are NOT possible on CDMA handsets!

Progressive download over HTTP? What a load of crap. AFAIK, Idea uses GSM network. It doesn't have EDGE, EvDO or other high speed data connections. So its upto GPRS to manage. GPRS gives ****y speeds. At such speeds its impossible to "stream" live tv. Was it possible on your 56Kbps dialup modem? Nope. So why will it be possible on this?? Umm...one more thing, HTTP is the WORST PROTOCOL when it comes to streaming. RTSP is what is needed for "REAL" streaming. So its a whole load of crap from Idea. What do they think of the consumer? Are we stupid?

racoon, RIM is probably not interested in having prepaid customers in Mah & Goa circle. As for prepaid in Mumbai, all operators except MTNL charge Rs.1.99 per minute to any phone. After activating some special promotional offers you can reduce your call rates. Like with Hutch 30p on net for a rental of 30 bucks and 99p offnet for a rental of 25 bucks per month. But call rates are nothing less than 1 re for offnet calls!

racoon, in Mumbai Hutch is charging Rs.1.99 for m2m, m2l, h2h calls and Rs.1.5 per SMS on prepaid ok. So dont even complain about 1.79!

*yawn* it can hardly be termed as a virus. Why? iPod doesnt have bluetooth or any such connectivity which can be used by the virus to "download" automatically on your player. So you must conciously DOWNLOAD the virus using you sync software ( iTunes? or whatever. ). That is not all. Once downloaded, the user must navigate to the file and then RUN it. It is only then that the virus will "infect" your system. Find it hard to understand? Simply put, you need to go to a website which has virus executables. Download the executable on your desktop and then double click it. Can that be called a virus? NO. My above explanation is analogous to this Its just FUD against Linux! Dont pay any attention!
