  6. Problem In Classic Handset

@deepmala, All Classic phones Battery backup doesnt last for more than 24 hours, and all CDMA phones get heated if you talk for a considerable amount of time. hence this problem is universal with all classic handsets.
  7. Nokia Cdma Recommendations

Arnuld, I have read most of your posts, I think the problems which you are facing are more related to network than to these handsets, just check which service provider is the best and switch over to that, It can not necessarily be a CDMA service provider. As far as CDMA is concerned I have both a Reliance and Tata connection, The Reliance phone works very well on a LG 3000, I am more than satisfied, for the TATA connection I have a Huwaei 2905 which is also pretty good. As far as Nokia is concerned they are good as far as GSM is concerned, but they lag behind in CDMA, the Best Nokia phone in this category the NOKIA 6275, battery s-ucks, Infact some of these so called 1000 rupees phones are worth thier money in the CDMA range. I can understand you have wasted so much time and money buying these cheap phones and you are now getting frustrated and would want to settle for a good branded phone, but please check for network related problems, before you settle for a handset. All the very best brother
  8. To commemorate the 61st anniversary of Indian Independence, Tata Indicom has announced a new recharge for prepaid customers. The recharge is available in denomination of Rs. 1947 and will be available throughout this month. On recharging, the user will get talktime worth Rs. 1947 with a validity of a year. The new tariff for local Tata calls will be charged at 19 paise a minute whereas other local calls at 47 paise. A perfect way to use 1947 for commercial use!
  9. Chinese Cdmas

^^^^^ Thats true even I havent seen any chinese sets with CDMA only apart from the usual ones, like classic, haier and huwaei, there are some dual chinese sets, which are very popular here in pune, like SIGMATEL, I saw one absolutely awesome looks, costing around Rs. 6000/- but dont know about the quality, another chepaer model i saw was costing around Rs. 3750, popularly known as the SIGMATEL ROCK STAR
  10. Motorola With R-uim Slot

I have a motorola F3C, the chepest Tata indicom phone I had purchased about 9 months back @ Rs. 550/- with one year validity and Rs. 1200 T2T talktime time. even that had a R-UIM (T-Sim).
  11. Haier C3000 Or C3010

brother both are the same, only the cover differs, i have a Haier 2000, very slow phone, you get irritated after a some time, it takes hell lot of a time, Battery is ok, you will have to charge it daily if you are medium to heavy user. plus point is the that the phone is very sturdy, I would say ok for the price
  12. New Handset Rd 3000 & Rd 3100

^^^ Yes it absolutely true, I have one with a tata number, initially I was shocked that a Nokia battery can drain so fast, but iam now used to it, I dont use it for web surfing or songs, only voice calls, or clicking pictures or taking vidoes once in a while, I have to keep the cell every night for charging, by evening the phone is almost completely drained
  13. New Handset Rd 3000 & Rd 3100

@Amrita You are absolutely right, the battery backup is horrible, you will have to charge it on a daily basis, apart from this problem the phone is a delight
  14. ^^^ I agree with Raccoon, Here in Pune Relaince and Idea have the same voice quality, infact idea is a bit better, Tata is pathetic, and Airtel these days seem to have a lot of network problems, atleast in Maharashtra, Goa circle, Idea simply is the best
  15. New Handset Rd 3000 & Rd 3100

LG RD 3000, prices further drop in Pune Price of LG RD3000, with life time sim and unlimited free 2 months R2R local calls Rs. 1199/-
  16. Lightweight Color Phone.

In the Tata range, I feel the Huwaei phones better than Haier phones, the haeir phones, no doubt are sturdy, are frusrtratingly very slow, signals are weak, I had a feel of the huwaei 2905 which a client of mine had, the phone looked awesome, the voice clarity was ten times much better than the haier 2000 which my office boy has, had an FM too, all that at a price of Rs. 1499/-, Infact the recpetion in some of the classic phones are better than the Haier which I own.

  22. MTN may quit Reliance talks: Report Caught in the middle of the Indian billionaire Ambani siblings' feud, South African telecom giant MTN is mulling walking away from talks for a possible amalgamation with Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications [Get Quote], a report said on Monday. "South Africa's MTN is considering walking away from a tie-up with Reliance Communications of India because of fears, an acrimonious spat between the Indian telecom operator's owner and his brother could leave the deal open to legal action," UK daily Financial Times reported. Quoting an unnamed person familiar with the talks as saying that MTN and RCOM could extend their exclusive talks for another two to three weeks after the 45-day period expires tomorrow, the report said, 'there is no indication that extra time alone would be sufficient to resolve the feud' between Anil and Mukesh Ambani. The deal, if fructifies, could create a combined entity worth about $70-80 billion, which would be one the world's biggest emerging market telecom firm. While MTN and RCOM are said to be working on various deal structures, the FT report said there were 'mounting fears' that 'none of the myriad deal structures under discussion would insulate the combined company from Mukesh's lawyers.' MTN would have to get the legal assurances (from RCOM) that they are in a position to defend themselves against a move from Mukesh-led Reliance Industries [Get Quote], the report quoted Morgan Stanley's telecom analyst Sean Gardiner as saying. The deal has been clouded under uncertainties since RIL claimed right of first refusal in any controlling stake in RCOM and wrote letters to MTN and RCOM threatening legal action if its rights were breached. However, these claims are being contested by the Anil Ambani group. Source : Rediff.com
  23. Classic 701 & 702 Avialiable For Rs. 501/-

i had bought 2 of them for my office boys, one had speaker problems, you were not able to listen anything when a call was recieved, the second one only worked when it was in charging mode, the moment ome removed the charger, the phone would go dead, fortunately I bought it from a known dealer, hence i was able to exchange it for a LG3000 by paying the difference, otherwise i would have been at the mercy of the service centres, Earlier i had bought a classic 201 for the same purpose, that is still working fine, only problem i need to charge it twice a day
  24. Tata has done it again, new value voucher launched Detalis Value Rs. 31/- All Local and STD calls at Rs. 1/- Validity : 30 days Maharashtra Circle
  25. Idea Cellular Rocks!

When I had bought the sim the validity was for one year, after about 11 months I started getting these offers on a daily basis, I also got these via recorded voice messages. My friend who uses Reliance, too got similar offer when his sim was about to expire, He recharged With Rs. 199/- got talk time of Rs. 150/- R2R and validity life time, but the taltime was only for a period of about 15 days, he had hardly used it and one fine day the promotional talk time suddenly dissapeared
