Le 2 and le 2 max are really vfm at 12k, 23k and 30k with 3gb/32gb, 4gb/32gb and 6gb/64gb and sd 625/820
-
Will this be only for 3 months ? If it is for 6 months then its a deal.3 months as of now. Many have been upgraded to more. Even at 3 months for 6799 for all inclusive voice, data it is cheaper than unlimited wired broadband and is definitely vfm for people with heavy data usage. Plus lots of free apps. In fact get a chrome cast and do not recharge cable tv for 3 months. Joking on that though
-
What are the current LYF plans? How long we get to use free data if we buy a new phone? If it is for 3 months then spending 5k is a deal breaker for me.Wind 4 is good at 6799 and can be used for hotspot - unlimited voice, sms, data and apps (live tv, vod, music, magazines, etc)
-
Wind 4 is great value for the price. Massive battery, does not lag much, and most importantly it works well as wireless hotspot - also lyf purchase offer has unlimited data not 75gb
-
If you are using a test sim please give feedback so they can improve signals in your area

Am on a posting spree but@kanagadeepan cannot confirm no fup but it will not be 256/512kbps downgrade. This is a full LTE network and will definitely reduce pricing across all operators

Edit duplicate post
For those who have been ported to rcom gsm 2g and need high speed data, walk into a digital express and get a lyf wind 4 for 6799 - use it as hotspot and get 90 days free voice, sms, 4g on rjil as most stores are giving invites themselves
- 1
-
If you think that 4G would be as cheap as EVDO, be prepared for a very rude shock.Am quite sure that rjil will undercut existing 4g tariffs by 60%+ if initial trends are anything to go by
-
RJio does not have a single paying customer. RCom has lakhs of paying customers. RCom customers are very happy with EVDO and do not want to change. Why should the paying customers of RCom be made to suffer for the future gains of RjioBecause rcom is bankrupt (not actually, but has huge debts) and the tower sale to rjio is what will save them. In this thread I can see many people slating rjio as both rcom and rjil use the same brand name. It's not rjil fault that rcom is managing this migration so badly. I would recommend everyone on rcdma to port out to a gsm operator interim for 3 months and then port back to rjio when it launches commercial operations

@hetal bhai@parin I have misplaced my cdma sim, have the 4g sim - but any way to request for migration as cdma sim is misplaced and cannot send sms to 1299
-
@guru Gopal are these sims locked to lyf, please confirm
-
But no volte sadlyBaap of LTE phones...
check out LeEco Le1s' specsheet
-
Please suggest a 3g dongle and heavy usage (20+gb) plan, wifi hotspot optional. Bit urgent
-
As Jio has interconnect in place with Airtel, RCOM (this is news from more than a year back so probably more operators by now) so there should not be any worries about GSM/3G/2G wherever VOLTE is unavailable. If the handset does not support VOLTE there is jio join app which will allow calls/text over GSM also

Setting in droid maxx shows that there is CDMA LTE & gsm LTE .
Let me clarify. There is no CDMA and GSM LTE. LTE/4g is the culmination of both CDMA 2000/1x/EVDO and GSM/EDGE/GPRS/UMTS/HSDPA. What you are seeing in options is whether the fallback for LTE will be on CDMA or GSM. If you want a phone to work in India fully on 4g, buy one that supports bands 5, 40 and also VOLTE
is my redmi 2 4g handset will work after upgrade from CDMA to 4g. Reply plz
Yes when they give you a 4G SIM it will work
-
Some of the handsets that have LTE Band 5 (850 mhz) as well as Band 40 (2300 mhz) are
Samsung Galaxy J7
Samsung Galaxy J5
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (N910G)
Lenovo Vibe K4 Note
Oppo F1
Honor 5x
iPhone 5s
iPhone 6
iPhone 6 plus
iPhone SE
Samsung Galaxy S6
These handsets also have Band 3 (1800 mhz) used by other service providers in India.
How many of these support VoLTE?
Samsung Galaxy J7
Samsung Galaxy J5
iPhone 6
iPhone 6 plus
Samsung Galaxy S6
Not sure about others

is it required to fill up CAF again or produce KYC documents again for taking 4G SIM
Not required because operator is not changing. It is only a SIM upgrade
-
Yes. Also to add that even the existing beta testing volte is quite stable at least in Kol circle. A friend oversees 650+ sites alone and teething problems with fluctuations exist but they are being ironed out

Buy band 5, 40, volte enabled as most of us will ultimately port to jio later

If it supports 3g in gsm port to a gsm operator now and later to jio use jio join appany 1 have any idea whether the sprint Samsung phone will work on 4G lte
otherwise my sprint note 4 will be a paper weight
-
Yes take a 4g sim and use jio join on any 3g phone. Cdma 850mhz spectrum is vital for jio so they had to free up the cdma voice clutter. Volte has not yet stabilised but it is not that bad also considering 2300mhz network

Thanks finally a common sense reply that highlights the volte factor
Edit - And also the fact that 4g devices pricing is now low enough for mass market adoption which was not the case earlier

RN3 is better for CDMA users.

@kanagadeepan this is what I used to say that this scale of implementation is unprecedented. Congratulations on the reps
