i went to get this uprgrade , it took bout 45 mins
funny i don see any change, instead all my msg got deleted. gud thing i told him to see that my phone book does'nt get deleted.
the lg person told me that this upgrade was only for r-world so that all application run easilyand better........ but all are still same
totally a waste of time

hey ppl,
it's been about 3 months now that my sch-191 broke down due to some techinical problem(relating to pda). any way, i had filed a claim for the same, the samsung and ww ppl told me that i had 2 courier some originals and i would recieve 75% of my repair cost. i followed the whole process . But it has been 3 months now but still no answer for national india insurance co. I asked the ww and cc for the cantact no.s of the co. but to my dissapointment either all the no's are not reachable(dats when u switch off ur rim) or the bell goes on and no one picks up.
also to my amazment the office of knowladge city hasn't been listed anywhere on national insurance co. site.
I really need help coz around 5k of mine are stuck
it would be a gr8 favor if any 1 tries.

i am seriously thinking of contributing, even talking 2 my college teachers and principle regarding setting up kind of "donation boxes" in our college. but the biggest thing that worries me is that all our contribution may not reach the needy due to the corrupt minister and other people in our govt. system.
please someone find out n tell us that which could be the the best mode of contributing eg. pm's relief fund, red cross society etc

g-tran absolutely sux, many of new nokia handsets camera enabled, are available now.
or if u could wait a new phone is coming up NOKIA 6255 it ha video streaming and bluetooth also

hey ppl,
just about the reliance india card dat it allows you to make calls to any rim at 1rs/min. is that true or jus another trick by rel. also, how do v use it?
is it shown on monthly bills? coz i need to make calls without my dad finding out bout that.
plz reply if any 1 used it?

i've heard dat these virus are transmitted mainly through bluetooth or gprs, guess atleast the rim users are on a safer side.

mine surely goes to lg 7230, even if it ain't good looking but it sure has monoply of features like video camera n helllooooo...... the INFRARED connectivity

hey ppl,
almost every one has cum 2 a single conclusion that both ww and cc of ril totally sux. i wanted 2 upgrade my handset to a colour 1 wid cam for a long timebut 2 my amazement the phones were not available all over delhi.i cantacted the cc regarding dis n they had only 1 ans. "sir we have no info. regarding the stock" . thats when lg 6000 launched but 2 my info. it was only available for prepaid users.
then while goin through the rim website i came across this coulomn in "contact us"- write to the chairman.
i thought it wasn't of any use but i still wrote my problem.
to my amazement a representative called within 15 mins after i clicked send n enquired abt my problem. after 4 hrs i recieved a call from her a gain n she gave me the add. of new freinds col. n asked me 2 meet a particular person.
thats when i got my lg rd 6000. despite of fact that it was only available for prepaid every where else.n now i think of the time when v hav to wait for 20 mins for talking to a customer representative at cc.

i'd like 2 keep this post short n simple.
i've used dis phone for about a week now and i came across the foll. pts:
gud 1's
1. gr8 looks, u surely get into notice wid dis one
2. large n bright lcd
3. good camera, images r of 640x480 size, includes fun frames, 4 colours( colour, b&w, ambience n negative), self potrait , multi shot
4.large phone book with avtar.
5. easier group msging
7. fabulous speaker
8. easily acceible menu
9. voice memo , answering machine, call recording available.
bad 1's
1. R-WORLD. it has a brew software n many of services r not present......... eg videos, songs, games!!!!!!!!!
2. poor battery life. need 2 charge within 24 hrs
3. max of 20 photos from camera can be kept , including avtars
4.poor voice quality( not much can be expected from cdma)
5. no connectivity like blueetooth, irda.
6. only midi is supported and no other like wav, mp3, mmf etc
7. no video streaming(neither on r world)
8. mms only to rim users
conclusion - expected more but not a bad deal for 9799/-, gr8 if u just want to use it as a phone and not as a interactive device. lacks in basic features which other phones provide like larger memory, r-world services etc.

if u want 2 add ringtones n pic 2 ur 6000 just send a mail 2 ur cell adding pic(preferably 170x130) n a midi tone and send it in foll. format

Tip: try sendin less than 3 pic and tones at a time.

i've still no replies despite me writing 2 the above address also i've even send fax to them. even send a mail 2 chairmans office but the reply came that national insurance co is diff than reliance and the same is not involved in the claim procedure.
also, the numbers of the national insurance co. which i got frm cc are either always switched off or keep ringing n no one picks up
