guys i have almost finalized photon for myself. but i have been reading that it has pixelation issue. display shows pixels on close inspection. can anyone who owns one throw proper light. is it something to be scared of . would it make me regret when i will see super amoled or super lcd or retina display

when its about just your pm , mails , news & weather 2g is perfect. after all when do u exactly need 3g speeds on mobile. fortunately in jaipur i keep the phone on HSDPA and get good speeds for above mentioned needs. 6gb feels more than perfect and very generous of reliance.

but the pics posted above suggest that out of total memory of 190 mb - 160 is in use only with Shoot me app running. i wonder if this rom would bring eris to its knees. dont feeling like daring to take this step yet.

A brilliant post and a superb modification. Can you confirm what other cdma world phone can be modified like this. I am sure if this can be done to most such handsets then ppl might soon prefer to buy only these. As they ll be the only kind which accept cdma & gsm cards in same slot.

if you need to use hindi fonts for surfing then use opera mini. you can choose in its settings to display image for unrecognized fonts. it works like a charm and you can read hindi websites.

I recently bought a Imobile phone, a Chinese handset with proper IMEI no. for someone known to me. The charm was to get TV playing on a phone worth Rs.2,900/- It was shocking to me that the description read the phone comes with One year On-Site Warranty. I did not believe they have service agents in every city. The moment I noticed an issue with the phone I mailed the seller who tried to give me solution through email for two days. On the third day when I said that I am still not satisfied with the resolution. The guy offered for a replacement as per the warranty and same afternoon the phone was picked up by Blue dart on seller's expense. I was more than impressed at the professional service quality offered by a seller who is giving only Chinese phones that too of such low value. What I intend to bring notice to here is the fact that the phones bought on this forum could also offer such on site pick up one year warranty if the issue is not solved online by the seller. After all most of the handsets dealt here are of value more than 5-10 times of the phone I mentioned above. I would like to strongly suggest this to the seller's on this forum. It would add to the credibility for new buyers who are skeptic knowing there isnt manufacturer's warranty on these products. Not sure of roaming yet. When i connected it to PC through PdaNet it again gave me 2g speeds (roughly 10KB /ps) and downloading in phone's browser is also the same. But opening any site and market works at great speeds. the test i have already put up.

You will only get entry level DSLR in this budget. for eg. D1000 & 1000D nikon & canon unless you have professional requirement dont go for DSLR. you ll end up using it only in auto mode. which makes no sense. if you want to learn to play with shutter speed & aperture then you can begin. within this budget you ll get crazy megazoom cameras. there is one in canon which gives 35x optical zoom i have used it with a friend its crazzzzzy. dslr never have optical or digital zoom. there the lens only has zoom and the body is separate. you have to buy desired zoom lens. and a basic one usually comes with body. usually 17-55mm lens.
