  1. Sri Lankan government should let the free market work. If the companies cannot afford lower prices and competition, then let them shut down the companies. Let the efficient and innovative companies win.
  2. Samsung Corby Speed CDMA Launched

I am still waiting for the OMH sim here in Hyderabad. It is out of stock. Anyways, can anyone tell me if there is a number blacklist feature in Samsung Corby, and if there is, how to use it? Thanks and Cheers!
  3. Samsung Corby Speed CDMA Launched

Ok... Thanks for the info. Will have to make a trip to the Tata Indicom store in Hyderabad. By the way, Corby speed has lesser features than the GSM version of Corby. Maybe only the software/OS is slightly different. A couple of questions... maybe you guys and gals have figured it out... 1. Is there any way to change picture orientation from portrait to landscape for full screen view? GSM version supposedly has something... I can't find it on this phone... 2. The photo sliding is very slow and gets stuck, but youtube review of the GSM version of this phone showed smooth transitions... I tried small size, low resolution photos as well, but without any success. Is the phone faulty? 3. Some reviews said that Camera has Panorama option, but I couldn't find it on my phone... 4. In the Photo browser, is there a way to view photos stored in memory card? I can only see the ones stored in phone memory. There is no option to go to memory card. I hope there is a firmware update to iron out all problems and give CDMA users the same options that GSM users of this phone get... Thank you all... Cheers! let Them ask for internet scheme of RS28, 152,351-data voucher for prepaid sim card of corby handset. If they providing then try to recharge it and let us know result. Same schme is not availble in maha. I have a postpaid connection... Pay per second, 249/pm, Rs 200 TT free... Local, STD 1p/sec... But GPRS is expensive. I have not bought the phone from authorized Tata Indicom dealer, so don't know if I am eligible for any Internet scheme...

  5. Samsung Corby Speed CDMA Launched

Hi all, I've just bought a Samsung Corby Speed a couple of hours ago, replacing my Nokia 6275. It is a simple phone. Not impressed with the BADA OS and TouchWiz at all. If I had better options in CDMA, would have selected it. But there are few good offerings in CDMA cellphones. I have a non-OMH Sim from Tata Indicom. I created a new network profile and tried to connect GPRS using those settings, but I continue to get the error everyone else gets... "Please upgrade your R-UIM for Data Services". The settings I used are... Connection Name = TATA Zone Dialer Connection Name = TATA Zone Server Dial = #777 User Name = wapuser Password = wapuser Proxy Server IP = 172.23.252.15 Proxy Server Port = 9401 Is there any way to bypass the error message and just use 1X GPRS with non-OMH sims? Cheers!
  6. It is not possible that diego delete contacts by itself. I have connected my mobiles 100s of time (i mean it). With diego, rewritten PRL, backed up and resotred, evenphone book back up and resotre etc. See if your diego has taken back up of your user data. If you have tried to upgrade software or disconnected phone while some writting in progress than it is possible and if so there is no waay you can recover your phone book. Unless you can find out back up file taken automatically by diego. Search your temp folders and diego folders. If you have synced your phone with outlook / other PIM, then try restoring it from there. While feedling with phone always take precaution to take uptodate backup before connecting it to software like diego / phoenix or PSTs. In Diego 3.09, I had clicked on Phone model Upgrade. There, just for the sake of testing, I clicked on "Read Phone Information" i was impressed how all the data was read, including phonebook. then, I clicked on "Write Phone Information" I thought nothing will change. But phonebook entries from letter P to Z are gone... Maybe 100 contacts were there. How does Diego store backups? Which file?
  7. I've had lots of screw ups with contacts. I've learnt that have outlook as the default address book, calendar, tasks, notes. Sync what's there in outlook to any device you like. Outlook is the main. Any problem like you loose your phone, loose data, data curruption, you can always recover. I hope there is some software to recover my data now. I cannot connect using MobilEDIT Forensic. Is there any other software I can use?
  8. Friends, I am doomed. Nokia 6275 has betrayed me. My phonebook has lost half of the numbers. I had connected it to Diego 3.09 to update PRL file. And now, half the phonebook is missing. Please help me, share some techniques, some software, through which I can get back my numbers. Please Please Please Help me. The numbers are VERY Important. Help me. I've tried MobilEDIT Forensic, but my phone (Nokia 6275) is not detected. Please help me...
  9. Saving Received Sms In 6275

This phone Nokia 6275 is junk... I am disspaaionted, but there is no better option for a CDMA user... I can't save more than 50 messages, although the entire memory card of 256 MB is free... Even phone memoy of 16 mb is free... And the built quality of the phone is also aweful... I wish Sony Erricson started producing phones for CDMA... Until that time, have to use this JUNK...
