They are waiting for rollout of all new comers service providers first.. thn theyll start 3G Auctions.. I see it will be available only in 2012 by Airtel and Vodafone along with all newbies.. Biggies like Etisalat Videocon and others are still waiting to lauch thier basic services by paying heavily for license.. how can they afford not to be in 3G auctions.. and how come government auction without filthy rich Etisalat.. its all about tapping baby.. So lets stay in CDMA and be happy on 1X.. one mo reason to love CDMA..

sooner or later Eris rooting will come for sure as 2 Dev members stop working on it due to some reason... but they resumed work now.. just a matter of lil time.. Rooting is not necessary for all end-user though.. its for hi-tech users only those who understand what they are doing.. Droid Eris and Sprint HEro is same phone... with minor cosmetic hardware changes.. and thats it.. He got one phone, but its not activated on reliance...

You!! my friend(Ya one of the reason is U)... rememebr when ur 6700 conked off what all u said???.. about where i live and all.. that was first harsh thing i face as a seller (U shud have treat me like techie that time, i might be have remain techie..).. today u active on forum past several days shooting questions on poor Dhiraj just because its time u going to change ur handset.. once done thats it.. u will visit only once a while for updates for ur handset and all.. Come face it.. get real.. people come and go.. some of us remain here to keep it running.. u guys talking about competition in other sellers topic just because some of u drooling on particular handset and want best price for it... and dont even care what others paying for that handset.. Have i ever started topic that couple of my HTC Diamond, Mogul, Pre and couple of Palm Centro gone dead in research to get those for CDMA community?? have i ever complaint that customs sue me twice and i was in customs court?? have i ever complaint reliance Legal dept called me twice on complaint from fellow rimwebians?? i am ready to follow any rule set by respected team.. Though my signature scream at it best that i am full time seller.. but i give all the credit to rimweb again from converting me from kinda Dev team to pure seller.. even hi-techs as HP, Kshah, AshokSoft and others saw the power of leechers and transforming into seller.. we decided to keep it low and no more open science... i was not handset importer since i joined this forum... back in 2004 uploading that .midi, .Dat ringtones to LG 2030 and Samsung 191 was game and kept us awake day and night... all started at launch of XV6700 (Though me and Kshah already have used XV6600), when people came to know i am using this imported handset they came to me asking to get them one.. slowly my journey begins till date.. have a look i joined forum back in 2004.. i stop contributing openly cos members started treating me like seller only.. so why shud i keep behaving god sent to them.. as far as making money goes everyone makes money as soon as they get chance.. not to mention name highly respected current member known as Savior for noob charged me 500 each handset for helping me with HTC diamond cracking.. and i am fine with it... all rimweb biggies have bought handsets from me.. and i always gave them best price.. be it ARUN, Kshah, HP, Dkaile, DJ, Tanveer, Ashoksoft, Muffadal, Greatest, GauravJC, Chirag, Greens, U name it i have them on my list.. One member started all mess asking arun time and again why i have my own forum and not other members.. so Buy-Sell started updating in new content.. (Which was hidden/ not updated in new content.. by request started by tanveer back in 2006 i believe.. ) though i hardly sell 10% on rimweb now.. I am ready to follow rules by Admin/mod and respected members suggestions.. Please let us know the ravjeet issue.. even i heard something about it... and dont even know i am involve in it lol..

I update my HTC Droid OTA connected to Wi-Fi... was not rooted.. but didnt got chance to play a lot as buyer was on nerves to get it... so sent it.. will try updating Hero and update here..

Eris and HERO are same.. only major difference is Eris got touch Sensitive Menu, Search, Home and back keys.. and is more sleek thn HEro.. I didnt find any other Hardware difference between this 2.. I got both in stock.. Also Hero got lil large Trackball thn Eris.. if that matters..

And, `99’ will be the first two digits in every mobile number, in the 11-digit regime. There won’t be any change in fixed line phone numbers. The Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC), which is the technical arm of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has finalised the report on national numbering plan, sources in the government told DNA Money. It is learnt that TEC submitted the national numbering plan report to DoT last week. TEC has recommended a timeframe of six to nine months, for converting the existing 10-digit mobile numbers to the 11-digit format. The shift to 11-digit number will apply to all mobile users-GSM (global systems for mobile communications) and CDMA (code division multiple access), old and new subscribers. According to the latest recommendation of TEC, the new telecom operators will be allotted the spare levels of 90 and 91 in the 10-digit series. But, they too will have to migrate to 11 digits, by prefixing `9’, in the same timeframe as the existing telcos. The TEC recommendation adds that the numbering plan for fixed line phones will remain the same. In 2003, DoT had come out with a 30-year numbering plan, but five years down the line there’s a need for review. This time, DoT wants to ensure that the solution is for a much longer term, it is learnt. Mobile telephony has been witnessing tremendous growth and new telcos have also queued up to offer wireless services. Currently, India has around 260 million wireless subscribers, and the total telecom base (fixed and mobile) has crossed 300 million. The teledensity in the country is more than 25 per cent now, with the average monthly mobile growth at over 8 million. The government has set a target of 500 million phone subscribers by the year 2010. Nine mobile operators were recently given over 120 telecom licences to offer services across many circles. Currently, the established players offering mobile phone services include Bharti, Reliance Communications, Vodafone Essar, Idea Cellular, Tata Teleservices, Aircel-Maxis, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) and Spice. In India, the first national numbering plan was announced in 1993, when mobile telephony was yet to begin in India. In 2003, a fresh plan came about, but at that point the government failed to realise that India would witness a growth rate of 8 million mobile subscribers every month. India is not the only country where mobile numbers would be changed because of the growth story and new operators joining in. China and the UK are among others to have done it too. The US is believed to have handled things much better because it follows an integrated numbering plan-for fixed and mobile phones.

@ Muf well same thing i said.. as he was doing for Juke.. its ok.. otherwise on 8830 u use any version it gives same error.. But for Mogul and other HTC CDMA only phones for example Mogul, Touch, older version didnt gave any error.. and newer 232 is giving this error.. i try to explain this to noobs in simple language.. technically we understand...
