Sierra was the first card launched by reliance i agree. But after sierra only these so called Reputed Chinese come in and flood copy of Data cards. I never said i am only tech savvy, i have my experience on rimweb, we help we share and care. was putting all my efforts to achieve milestones, from putting Ringtunes through BINARY to LG 2030 to Cracking HTC diamond now. I was always in, u name it. I am not here to flood forum with copying and pasting Google news to increase my posts, and nor did i want this unwanted Debate. Pooh i am exhausted.

Agree with Praveen ji. And i am sure reliance will come up with more deadly plans in future, may be after GSM launch. i will be sticking to DAPO for now and after GSM launch to see if anything more worth the wait.

Indian players getting them ( ZTE & Huawie ) in business just because they are cost effective. ( because of their quality) One can simply ask user of Reliance Landline difference between LG models and ZTE, Huawie( Classics) models. ( theres always one story of guy who is using Classics) anyways Have anyone of u heard of Sierra wireless?? Well they are leader in data cards, why we never saw data card of sierra in india, just because they are expensive and high quality product manufacturers. ( they spend in R&D ) by all these debate going on , i just have to say that some people will never agree with others point of view no matter how good or reliable it is. anyways I am outta it. I will always support big manufacturers and and their effort for technology. I know Chinese can never offer Symbian based handsets in CDMA be it ZTE or Huawie. Zte and Huawie the biggies of China are just Chip buyers and expanded their business. thats it. they are nowhere to even LG who have just 2.5% handset market share. They are betting on ZTEs U990, well what u know about TD-SCDMA?? This technology is used only in china and Japan. and they got chips for patent holders and make one handset. thats it. Dont bet on it, its not quality international product. I have seen die hard fans of Apple, Microsoft, Nokia, Samsung and even motorola. they all hate Chinese manufacturers,they say they should stop manufacturing it right away, its not passed by FCC. but supporters here now not concerned even for side effect of these handsets. ( They are saving lots of money buying chinese handseta and will spend it on thier medical bills)

NEW DELHI: World largest supplier of flash memory products, Nasdaq listed SanDisk Corporation on Monday announced the launch of world's first 16GB microSD and memory stick micro mobile memory cards. Priced at Rs 4999, the cards will be available in retail chains like Hot Spot and Croma Stores in the country, Sandisk Corporation's Asia Pacfiic MD Gavin Wu said. The fingernail-sized 16GB memory cards allow consumers to use many high storage applications such as music and video playback, high-definition digital camera functions, gaming and GPS applications in high end phones. Most phones in the world will support the high memory cards, Mr Wu added. In addition to the mobile phone, consumers can use the 16GB microSDHC card in a multitude of other devices, including a video camera, GPS receiver or a MP3 player with a microSD slot. "Handsets have become far more than just phones - they've become mobile jukeboxes, mobile offices, even mobile movie theaters," says Avi Greengart, Research Director for Mobile Devices at Current Analysis. "Flash memory cards have increased in storage capacity, but even an 8GB card may be too small for anyone with GPS map data, a few movies, a game or two, a presentation file and other applications. There is an acute need for more mobile storage capacity. 16GB gives consumers the ability to carry their digital content with them and still have room to do more with their mobile phones," he added. In India, the mobile industry witnesses daily downloads of over one million ringtones and ring back tones and these figures increase sharply during the festive season. According to the Smartphone 360 study, people with converged devices use only 12% of the total time on making voice calls. But 90% of the time, people are using other functionality of the devices. Need for high storage devices will increase even more next year as 3G kicks in India.

Its like diffrence between watching NEWS Channel INDIA TV and BBC World. One day u will realize they are repeating same old story over and over again. and u not in touch with latest news. which is running on BBC. There was huge war of patents between nokia and Qualcomm. if cdma players wud have supported nokia to day we might have had good options in CDMA as well. As i recall there was atleast 2 Symbian based handsets announced by Nokia and Samsung. Nokias 6638 and samsungs brave. when they got in full fledge in war qualcomm didnt allow nokia to launch it, and nokia didnt allow samsung to launch symbian based in CDMA. Nokia 6638 Symbian based OS PICS attached.

I am the first guy who import Dual-Tech phones to india, but i did it only one time. I hate them to the core. The OS sux, the screen is just huge and nothing else. Come on i don't hate reputed Chinese handset. am well aware all biggies manufacture handsets in china, from Nokia to apple, they all go to china for manufacturing part. My point here is if these handsets start dominating market we wont see new technologies in long term future. and u cant feed ur hunger with chinese 5 inch display and 4 stereo speaker. one day u need better UI, better OS, better technology, better concept. We are talking about AEON, and some people happy in chinese handsets. @ Kshah i know how importers corrupts the systems for personnel gains, but thats everywhere and in all business, if consumers stop buying these handsets, Importers cant corrupt Manufacturers, and manufacturers wont be making these lame handsets. people often come to me for some trouble shooting, I dont even take these handsets in my hand. U know all the ipods in the world is made by china, but u wont go and buy cheap Chinese MP3 players for ur family. just because u want more then noise u want pleasure of music. I can clearly guess if Chinese handsets are ringing, their ringing sound is soo irritating that i feel i go and suggest the guy using it. "hey bro get some life, get nokia"

Well no one got this much time to record calls, and check CDRs. Its just u not calling like STD/PCO, as even they pay ADC to operator u call. So if calls going more, an they paying more ADC thn 2750 they will check into it. Heavy STD calls is quite OK in this plan, i am sure reliance will counter attack for this plan, i might jump on it from DAPO thn Thanks Mr Daaga for the info, which came out to be true.
