  2. About Palm Centro

Palm Centro has launched in india for 13999.But this one is GSM. http://www.palm.com/in/products/smartphones/centro/ Source:- http://www.cellpassion.com/ Palm has launched what it claims to be the smallest smartphone with a QWERTY keypad in India. The Centro, which runs on the Palm OS, is Palm’s lowest priced smartphone and will be available for Rs 13,990 in the Indian market. “With the Centro, we are targeting the first-time smartphone users,” said Olivier Rozay, regional director, Asia Pacific, Palm Australasia Pty Ltd. India’s smartphone market was estimated to be close to 3.7 million units at the end of 2007 and is expected to reach 5.4 million units by the end of 2008.\ The Centro is an entry-level smartphone and provides basic features like quadband GSM connectivity, Bluetooth and a modest 64 MB internal memory. It also has a FaceBook application and Google Maps that have been integrated with the phone’s contact list. However, the low-end 1.3 megapixel camera and absence of Wi-Fi prove to be the weak links.
  3. Got Asus EEEPC today. Tried to connect Netconnect via Nokia 6275 via USB. Working. Speeds are also good. Finally I got eeepc after a long wait. Tried to connect EEEPC to Reliance network using Nokia 6275 CDMA phone. Its working fine. Steps for connection are also very simple.I really liked eeePc after this connection, since i can use this one to check mails and browse the net all over india.(since reliance has very descent coverage) for very minimum cost. This forum really rocks.I got all idea from this forum only. Steps for connecting Nokia 6275 via USB cable. First connect the phone to a USB port and wait for atleast one min. Then go to Network Connection->Create->DialUpConnection->Nokia-Nokia 6275 /dev/ttyACM0->#777->User Name and password(ur mobile no). After finishing the configuration just connect and it will get connected. I got speed around 100Kbps. May be it will work for 6265 and 6255 models too.Not sure. I am now trying how to connect to 6275 via bluetooth Will be great if any one can help me in this http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=18765 bye lijo
  4. i got it for 17500Rs. its very small compared to other laptops. display just 7".Its running on Linux. Not much useful for professionals but good for youth and teen who just need to chat mail browse etc. you can get more reviews from http://wiki.eeeuser.com/reviews/ But i find it very good for my usage while traveling.Less than 1 kg,Nice connectivity thro reliance(I am a DAPO user so that atleast i can finish my free mins). It got openoffice, acrobat reader, wifi ,webcam, and 4 GB flash mem builtin, 3 usb ports.etc.. Bye Lijo
  5. 6250 's user interface is typical LG. no menu delay problem. abt data sync, u can sync ur contacts easily(usb cable is included in the package ,u need to download the software from their site.) and has a storage of 2000 nos.(my nokia 6275 has a limit of 500 names) battery backup is better than 6275. file transfer via bluetooth is also not bad.ringtone volume very low also. its storing the recorded files as *.qcp format which will take around 340 kb for 250 secs.Voice clarity is good. very tough to find a new piece- it seems no stock.not good as nokia but an average handset with voice recording ,bluetooth, fm radio for a resonable price from reliance(i couldn't find any phones better than this in features and for 7.4k.)
  6. I am using Lg 6250 for more than one month. it supports voice recording(its CDMA,for GSM i am using nokia 6630) upto two hours according to the product note . i have personally recorded for more than 15 mins, u can point the recording file to the mem card for more time. it comes with 24 Mb internal mem and microsd support. very good battery backup and has even bluetooth for the price 7400.for full features u can check the product note. what i liked is the clarity of recorded calls(which is better than nokia 6630). u can record also voice memos.if u want i can give u more details. It supports RIUM too.
  7. New Nokia 6275 @ 9,750

6275 is syncing with outlook express without any problem via bluetooth connection. But after syncing if u take a contact eg. "lijo".Under "Lijo" i have stored 2mobile nos and 3 landphone nos also 2 emails and 1 note.then if u see the entry lijo in outlook express i will see only 2 or 3 nos and may be 1 email address. I had a 6255 before and i was using oxygen phonemanager v2.8.5.2 to organize my contacts list.it will read every field even i can set the default no from it.but it doesn't support 6275.The problem is i have around 478 contacts in my phonebook of 6255 and i want to trasfer it to 6275 fully without losing any fields.Pc syncing i have done 2 or 3 times, all 478 contacts will be there but so many nos and text inside will be lost.
  8. New Nokia 6275 @ 9,750

  10. Nokia 6255 And Palm

Hi friends, i am from trichur, kerala.i got nokia 6255 last month. now only i got time to write this, sorry. I tried connecting the 6255 to internet first thro' cable and via bluetooth both was working fine , i don't know how but i am getting connected at 460kb/s , also getting a download average speed of 22kb/s in flashget(a download manager)(this is using the dku-2 cable.and in bluetooth i am getting speeds around 15-16 kb/s. All are fine and everybody have written this before. My point is i had a palm zire 72 for more than 8 months and i tried so many ways to connect it to internet like i bought 6230 and airtel gprs connection but couldn't connect. since my model only supports old gsm phones. so i bought SE-T610 and tried with bsnl gprs it was connecting fine but very low speed, but for my fate the phone got repaired with in one week and no more i could find a new phone in trichur. just two weeks before i tried simply connecting my palm with nokia 6255. it got connected fine.no problems at all.and the speed was very good .now i can download all mails browse any site ,check gmail etc very easily with my palm in my hand and nokia in my pocket or in my car.it doesn't gave any problems till now.i can take any photos with my nokia or palm and host it via ftp using palm.u can use messenger, yahoo or whatever software for palm u can make use of 6255 for the net use. it just act as a bluetooth modem.(u have to give the int string to get it connected as we did with the computer) i think any palm supporting bluetooth can easily connected to internet via nokia 6255. (may be guys in metros can connect to internet using gprs, but guys like me in trichur or any where in india have reliance range can easily get connected all the time to net without the need of laptop.)In my location this is the cheapest and the best way to get connected to the net all the time.i had used nokia 9500 for a week but in some areas gprs gets diconnected and low speed also expensive. I got palm for around 12k and it has 1.3mp camera mp3 MMC , plenty of softwares too and a 320 X 320 screen (so u can easily browse the net or check mails) bye lijo
  11. Bluetooth radios operate at much lower power levels than phones so, not surprisingly, the radiation added by a Bluetooth headset is insignificant by comparison. A study by William G. Scanlon of Queen's University in Belfast found that a typical Ericsson (ERICY ) Bluetooth radio module generates an SAR of just 0.001 watts per kilogram. http://www.businessweek.com/technology/con...050427_5651.htm
