Hi thanks for your reply !!! It seems no one was interested in my post! Like I said I really am in love with RCDMA but I am a Blackberry User and its disheartening to know that the GSM camp gets the best of all new feature loaded phones while I have to pay 50% more for a CDMA Blackberry which dosen't even provide for a WIFI !!!! I was really hoping that the RCDMA qualities get rubbed off on RGSM so that I can still enjoy the value benefits of being with Reliance than anyother operator. But I really am losing my paitience with RGSM. I mean its been more than a year I have the RGSM connection and I am paying Rs. 99 + Tax every month to keep the number and connection alive !!!!! I wish some of the senior memebers could put some spotlight on the work getting done on RGSM's network and what RCOM intends to do with it i.e. put the network qulaity in parity with Vodafone and other GSM players. RGSM is a crap network. I don't think it will improve in near future. To retain the number , convert your postpaid to prepaid and hold it till MNP. I did same thing.

I am not sure whether it is applicable to existing 94/- recharge which was terminated on 2nd June. 94/- recharge was for promotional offer of 1GB GPRS for every month and 277/- of TaTa to TaTa for every month for one year.

Hi, Now days I am getting a black mask over a message. So I am unable to read the entire message in Firefox. I am forced to use other browser. This is happening after upgrading to Mozilla Firfox 3.6.3 My OS is windows 7 enterprise - 64 bit. Moderator, please can you look into the Firfox compatability issue.

You think anybody else here understands it? Only the expert inguists at RCom can supply you that explaination. How is Docomo inside buildings and on the outskirts of Poona, as of now? I'm sure in-building coverage won't be comparable to RCDMA... or is it?? At least In my office [Kalyani Nagar] and in my home, I am getting full signal strength. Quality of signal strength is as good as CDMA. But outskirts of Pune and some other places Docomo is still needs improvement.

No use of cheap or competitive plans until they improve the RCOM GSM network and voice quality. I ever see such a pathetic network and voice quality. Two months back I have migrated to TaTa Docomo. Speed of GPRS us incomparable and voice quality is as good as CDMA. I am planning to shift to all my accounts to TaTa Docomo if they offered other states plans to Maharashtra.

I think it is not for all circles. Maharashtra & Goa is not showing the same plans.

I am using Docomo GPRS. Two day back I have recharged with RCV 94 too. GPRS speed is amazing. I got 150~190 kbps of download speed when I connected to my laptop. It is as good as [some times better than ] my Tikona broadband

First RCOM has to improve their network and voice quality of RGSM. Now a days I am getting call drop issues in CDMA too. There is no use in reducing the tariff and giving promo offers unless they are improved.

Yes. Yesterday my brother recharged it. Also dial 121 and listen automated voice about this offer. I will recharge it today.

Atleast it is good at my residence @ Vishranthwadi and office @ Kalyani Nagar. I am not aware of rest of Pune. TaTA Docomo voice quality is as good as RCDMA. No call drop and voice break. Excellent GPRS speed. But tariff plans are not good as Reliance.

After multiple complaints to corporate customer care, service assurance cell,nodal officer, I gave up RGSM. Migrated to TaTa Docomo. In Hyderabad RGSM is comparatively better than Pune. Still we can not compare with TaTa Docomo voice quality. Is there any improvement in signal & voice quality in Pune?

I fully agree with you. RGSM is a worst network. I think it ranks No. 1 in voice break, call drop and network fluctuation. Now I moved to TaTa Docomo. Atleast I found there are no call drops and voice break when signal is available. Still some areas in Pune there are issues in network availability.

Stay away from RGSM. Finally I moved to TaTa Docomo. Speed of GPRS is good. It is much better than any 1X Datacard speed when we connect to PC.

Hi , Does RGSM call divert/forward to another is working or not. I am trying to activate it . But no luck. RGSM coverage is pathetic and atleast I want to have a call divert when it is not reachable [Most of the time]. Finally I am planning to switch to TaTa Docomo. Atleast its signal strength is quite stable and good at my home and office. I am not sure about other areas inn Pune. I am eagerly waiting for MNP to switch my fancy number from RGSM to other operators.

Which areas of Poona do you face a coverage issue in? With me the issue is not just of coverage but also of poor voice clarity. Please don't waste your time with those CC retards on phone. Just email the service assurance cell (email on website). I have been nagging them once every while... and their tech. dept. has also called me up couple of times. While they have resolved the texting problems, problems with voice calls remain. Please do email them about it and follow it up. It seems docomo also has issues in Pune... as told to me by couple of Docomo users. Guess these new networks are taking their time to smoothen out... Thanks for info. I have tried all possible ways in my both handsets. Using same handsets, I was able to set for TaTa Docomo number call divert. But not for this RGSM scrap. I have called customer care for the same. As usual their answer is, contact nearest Rworld center for resolution.

I wrote several mail. I used to get a call from Reliance saying that they will look into the issue and get back you in two days. Again we will get a call from technical guys but finally there is no improvement. really RGSM is waste of time and money.

Specific to GSM: What is the difference between Reliance Windows Mobile internet & Reliance mobile internet [GPRS] plans. Why Windows Mobile internet is costlier than Reliance Mobile GPRS plans. Can I subscribe a regular 99/- GPRS pack for HTC Touch GSM mobile.

If I use GPRS on my HTC Windows Mobile, it is deducting 2/- per minute per session. I have used manula GPRS setting: APN= rcomnet Why it is deducting more from my account for GPRS usage. Am I doing any thing wrong. Also Rmenu->Mobile Internet option is not available.

How to subscribe prepaid GPRS packs other than from RWorld Menu. Unlimited or free usage of GPRS packs can be used in Roaming?

I got a one HTC touch GSM from USA. It is Windows mobile 6.1 Help is appreciated for following. As per CC HTC touch is not wap enabled. But I am able to connect to GPRS with 2/- per session per MB - If I use APN=rcomnet and connected to internet it is charging 2/- per MB per session.Why this rate? - Unable to see the Mobile internet menu in RMenu to subscribe 99/- pack. How to get this. - Not able to connect to wap.rworld.co.in - How to setup the WAP. I am unable to find the required fields which are provided in some other thread about this. Please help us in configuring the my phone for WAP and GPRS.

Thanks Dhiraj. I assume that there is no NUC for Reliance GSM. Can I assume that it is truly unlimited?. If I subscribed for 299/- in reliance GSM, can I use it for pushmail for Gmail and/or office exchange mail?
