i use the LG 2030 to connect.

a very happy birthday to you, maple_leaves, (btw, cool nick name )

well, just 1 set of statistics cannot count. so, usually, what i get-> ping-> 250-400 ms baud-> ~9-11 KB/S which neighther BSNL,nor MTNL could ever give me, so i prefer r-connect, even though Rs.60 would deter me, but 40p/min plan is good for me.

wow man, really gr8 work!! can u post the binary files?

i read the docu on the site, but unfortunately enuf, as all other documentations i have found, the documentations relate themselves only with the BREW SDK's, not the BREW PROTOCOL(BREW INTERFACE), which is used for PC-2-PHONE communications as in BitPim. what exactly i wanted is, the technical specifications of the BREW PROTOCOL, like what is the BAUD RATE At which it operates, (which i know is 3.8 Kb/s) and what is the format for passing DATA,COMMANDS etc to the phone. Using which i can write a serial communication alogrythm, which directly communicates with the phone. (as in BitPim)

sorry karpar, actually im heck a lot busy with the admission into an engg college and moreover our states (maharashtra) admission procedures are really pathetic, so i'll check out the docu as soon as i get time.

well, the Analog Clock you say, i dont think it's a wallpaper or a screensaver. it 's a programed component and moreover , the program is in the rom, so i dont think it's possiblt to change it.

i changed the topic title, cauz the prev title seemed to mislead ppl into thinking that Bits of SMS were stored in the file structure , and that u were stating it. If u look at it from a technical point of view, BITS mean a whole lot more. BTW, Any problems?

StaticElectricity replied to ngcoderq's topic in Tutorial and Guides
hey karpar, this one really made me laugh. atleast now u see that how many ppl ask the same question again and again and again.?? well, net_secrets it's already there in the forum somewhere u need to search for it. also here's a link F.A.Q -

ooo i think that i got his question wrong, i tht that he wants to combine two ringtones into 1, not that he wants to join 2 MIDI files and then convert it to ringtones, cauz that's whats' written there. oops,so sorry
-
try the "RESET R-MENU" option, maybe it'll rectify the prob, if not, try the "Clear Memory" option under "tools"

Vishal, Flood Control is used to optimise the server CPU usage and to protect the forum from mighty search requests, since it takes considerable processing power to handle searches. it is a Security Feature.

Uploading More Than 3 Ringtones
StaticElectricity replied to Vishal Gupta's topic in Technical / OS related
ive lost count of how many times ive answered that question. there's no use in uploading more than 3 ringtones. bcauz although there is space for more than three (i mean in the mildl folder), the phone's operating system does not have a memory slot to load them. it cannot handle more than 3 custom made ringtones. -
have a gr8 birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY~!!!

scroll to the top of the screen and there it is (the banner i mean)

Code, You can get the ip of the reliance phone .... by using the phone to dial to the internet and while online.. go to command prompt and type 'ipconfig' you will get the ip of the phone..... haah he says R-World and u are supposing it to be R-Connect both are not the same. even i had done some R&D and the way i used to get the IP addressed is by using POP3 Client on the phone, to connect to my PC .
-
yeah this one's better than the last one.. i'll say keep it.

hmm, frankly to reply , thanks for the enthusiasm. it's really appreciated. u know, ever since i released the programs, the (combined) amount of feedback i have got is 14. yes, exactly that amount. and i put in something like 50+ hrs in writing the software (combined). so i does seem a bit like a dampner dosent it? moreover, there should be a scope for programing the next version. u know, i mean just cant sit and change 2-3 lines of code and put out a new version, it does take a bit of time, afterall, we;re not microsoft and we dont have a team of 50 engineers writing software so that ppl will expect a new version of windows every year, moreover there are other botlenecks such as not getting documentation, like i searched and searched and serached, but i did not find a single documentation explaning the BREW protocol. so here we are. that's all i can say. PS:- any kind of help would be much appreciated

seems u have a lot , (and i mean a lot lot) of time on your hands that u say that u can debug BitPim and find out the triggers it's sending to the phone, also, if it's easy then tell me how to do it, i'll do it. (cauz i dont think reverse engineering bitpim will be easy) well, by your words , the project seems to have a long timeframe. can u give an approx time frame? also if u need some help , be sure to tell me, cauz i have written s/w for the rd2030 as u may know. so ... anytime..
