    Meet ->bandra, carter road ccd.

    5:30 PM

    I reached carter road by say around 4:30, had requsted ashok to be a lil early so that i could leave early (my deadline was 6:30 since i had a few friends with me and had some other work to attend to , also, my place is a good over 2 and a half hours travel from bandra )

    Pleasant breeze , nice seaface.... but CCD !! mannn was so crowded , couldnt get any place to sit....

    called ashok.... " hey where are u dude ?" ...

    "yeah .. im on my way will be reaching in 15 mins"...

    ok..

    waited .... Suddenly got a call.... and it was none other than puneet....

    i really had expected him to be a bit more younger :Riendo: but he looked just like the typical IIT'n ....

    and a secret he told me... that since he'd never been to carter road CCD before... he'd actually looked up GOOGLE EARTH ... and he had ACTUALLY measured the distance from CCD to Joggers Park !! which he said was 600m only :rofl_200:

    Then arrived ashok the great..... and he really got all of us a seat in say 10minutes...!!

    ashok was the typical himself .... cracking jokes all round....

    he had come along with Ankur... who looked quite the regular stylish businessman

    next in was Abhay ... and believe me he looks really like harry potter...

    along came annish , munna, chirag

    and another point i;d realyl like to mention... CCD was really cold.... and me being the one without any fat reserves... was *almost* shivering ... annish tried his best by asking angela ( the waitress) to turn down the AC... and then even persuading her to move the thing :grin:

    all of us had talks on varying topics .... and we took out the contest winners....

    just as I (and my friends ) were about to leave ... in came chandramauli... along with his nephew....

    though i'd have loved to stay along... but cudnt...

    as meets go... this one was really an awesom meet...

    (though i felt a little guilty that i'd got 4 other friends and arun footed the bill in the name of RIMweb :P ... but well i guess it pays to be a supermod :Contento: )

    [ps. i had got along 4 other friends of mine.... Amruta , sharada, shweta who are with me (IT Engg) and Amit (civil engg)... all of them really enjoyed the meet and on the way back home amit really pertered me to end about what this DEBRANDING really was that ashok was talking about]

    yea , thats true that rworld is crap.

    but hey getting the BREW docu aint easy...

    BitPim ppl will NOT , i repeat WILL NOT lend u a helping hand if u are not actually coding something as a plugin/ enhancement for BitPim...

    and Bitpim is coded using Python...

    and... python is unfortunately not such a popular language..

    so u cant ask them explanation for da code ...the reply is ..."hey all da code is out there ...findout for urself.." well ... la de dah...

    Recently i hav donwload disk manager for quantum hdd which are in the form of setup when i open this program it asks for floppy drive to install files in it and i dont have floppy drive is there any software such as virtual floppy drive. plz post the link to donload this software.

    you can try putting all the 'pieces' of the setup into a single directory and then run it... most of the times this works.

    Hi Static,

    I have entered into the file system of 5340 through BitPim and also been able to upload Ringtones & Wallpapers in it.

    I just want to know that what else I could do ? I mean what more uploading or hacking can be done

    well, vishal, sorry for such a late reply.. im really busy now a days... but since you ask...

    on the filesystem, u can , IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING perhaps try changin the .jad and .jar files to see wheather custom java MIDLets can be uploaded to the phone...

    But whatever you do... be careful.

    Generally java apps reside in the amr directory. i.e. if suc a directory exists on ur phone...

    i wont be of much help to you since im not regular... but ask around... there are lots of ppl here to help...

    wow, this stuff is hot...

    arun a hacker !! :unsure: i 'like the idea...

    and a MEDIA LICENCE for a PUBLIC FORUM.......... man.... i really cant stop laughing ..... what next ? keep up the good work mates...

    Mr.mantraway sure has messed with the wrong group of ppl here...

    PS.(sorry for commenting like a stupid blabbermouth... but ashok personally called me and adked me to read this... and i culdnt help posting)
