Bharti under DoT scrutiny for violating ISP licence New Delhi: In a major blow to private telecom operator Bharti, the government has issued a show-cause notice to Bharti Infotel for violating ISP license and asked it to explain why a penalty should not be levied. As a preliminary action, Department of Telecom (DoT) has sent a notice, levying and recovering an amount of Rs 10.10 crore, besides asking the private service provider to submit an additional performance bank guarantee of Rs 3.6 crore. DoT took the decision after inspecting 13 subscribers of Bharti’s Internet Leased lines where they were found receiving international voice calls. “This set up was unauthorisedly used for receiving international calls routed through internet leased line provided by you (Bharti Infotel) and further illegally switched to various subscribers,” DoT said in the notice. This illegal arrangement, which connected international calls to local number bypassing the duly permitted switching networks have caused huge revenue loss to the government and other licensed telecom operators, DoT said. Bharti officials were not available for comments.

i also think that this scheme is a gr8 hit......but still lil ambani is watching all this........ hopefully this type of scheme too comes in Rim...which will just create a Hungama like Monsoon Hungama......... but still i think that TATA has a good marketing strategy as compared to RIM.....their 0123 voucher is also good...i think by stopping 440/220 vouchers ,,,,,,,,RIM is hitting its feet itself on an AXE!......

ADAE plans to launch iPods, rPods New Delhi: The Anil Ambani Group is planning to bring the desi version of iPods or rPods into India. A source close to the planning process informed that the project, being handled by Reliance Entertainment, is at an embryonic stage. For the group, it would be an extension of its plans to start music download service for Reliance Infocomm subscribers, a first in the domestic telecom market. It is learnt that a small team within Reliance Entertainment is working on the project though it is not clear from where does Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Enterprises (ADAE) plan to get the hardware of the personal jukebox. If it goes ahead with the project, it is most likely to source it from some OEM supplier. It is learnt that the idea of bringing something like an rPod first germinated early this year but was put in the backburner when the family restructuring process was on. Now the project proposal has been reopened. Amit Khanna, chairman of Reliance Entertainment restricted his comments to, “There are some developments for introducing the music download service, but that is being done as a part of the telecom business.” The Reliance Infocomm spokesperson acknowledged plans to offer music download service soon as a part of telecom services, “We are looking at bringing emerging technologies to the consumer.” — Vivek Sinha guys who hv friends @ DAKC..please tell more abt this...thjis is most cool thing that will happed @ RIM

Why has RIM also laged behind as 199 scheme in prepaid and postpaid not getting good responce...ABCD.....think abt it ADAE
-
guys why is not RIM showing interest in this regard to participate with tv channels..look at the striking revenues of airtel ...HUTCH and IDEA! and Spice tooo......
-
bhai log this is a very serious and rigorous problem now.....if the promotional offers dont start attaracting pppl...now then ...ADAe is LOSt...no promotions nothing..no new handsets and the new handsets which are good are toooo much costly...why wd 1 shell out 14000 for 6265 when he can get a 6600 in 10000.......aint it
-
TRAI has redirected DOT not to do more on the intra network calls which would make the calls more costly...as DoT had been thinking to stop intra network calls @ less Tarriffss......
-
me2 experiencing the same...i think their network upgradation is in last stage...so lets wait for some more time...
-
the biggest blow of RIM is the SIM thing man....if this thing is replaced by RUIM for all handsets Its a hit man HIT...... and moreover their marketing is a flop...now how many ppl knkow abt 199 scheme on RIm and how many know 200 scheme of airtel you will find the answer itself...kyonki... ab mobile rakhne ka kharch sirf 200/- rupya mahine......
-
but whatever guys....the thing will be a first of its own and will shock the market as far as i know..and eagerly waiting for ashok bhai's next post...
