I tried all my efforts to Install a USB Data Cable along with LG RD 2130 set both in my Laptop and PC running under XP. It simply hangs. However, I could use the same Data Cable and Phone on somewhat older hardware at my office running Windows 2000 Professional. It works fine. I tried even creating Windows 2000 Professional partition on my Desktop, It simply hanges. I have given up the idea ! Still any hope? Yes I even tried RedHat EL 4.

Hi Firends, I also bought a third party USB Datacable yesterday for model LG2030 for my handset LG2130 (They say the cable will work). It from some AKASAKI make. The WINDOWS XP first is giving warnings that SOFTWARE is not WINDOWS LOGO CERTIFIED. Which is obvious and hence I am continuing with installation. The phone gets installed as modem but does not work and the system gets hanged. Please help me out. The software upload up is not downloadable by me as it gives an error that my I.P. The drivers supplied with do not work and even during installation WINDOWS XP gives warnings that Software not WINDOWS LOGO certified. But I continued anyway. Please help me out.

Even Clear Memory is not working ... 28463[/snapback] You can either upgrade the software of phone at LG service center. Another options, download bitpim from bitpim.sourceforge.net use it to browse through your file system in browser. Remove the directory containing .jar files. Restart the phone. It will start working normally. After this whenever you get Rword not ready message reset the Rword and run the clear memory application. The problem should not occurs. ...ynsingh 28610[/snapback] ?? I have LG-2130. I had purchased it few months back. Earlier everthing seemed to work fine. But now, Some of the R-World services like MESSAGING have stopped working. Event Cricket Scores which was working a WEEK ago has stopped working ("R-World not Ready"). I checked to Customer Care at *333. According to them, Problem is with the software of the set. They will send me a text message, then I will have to get software of the set upgraded. Have someone else undergone this problem?.. Thanks SUKHI

Hello All, I am Sukhdev Singh, M/40/Delhi My ICQ # is 22002320 I am a RIM PrePaid User since 15 Feb 2004. Earlier I had used MTNL's DOLPHIN, TRUMP as well as AIRTEL's MAGIC (I still have it in my family). Actual I Do not find anything much interesting in RIM as compared to others. But I like their Help Line, Those Hindi speaking boys are excellent. I really like it. I think I have taken a gamble by taking RIM. Two days ago, I reaceived a message that my Other Numbers is been withdrawn. Today I have received that my Conference Facility has been withdrawn. I checked with help line they say they have taken it away for PREPAID users. I wonder what else they would with draw next. Any the Voice Quality is Quit Good as compared to GSM as expected from CDMA technology. Only problem is with the network. I am sorry to comment that is not better then Trump (MTNL's). I can give my Phone Number as well as email if some needs to contact me (First contact my on my ICQ ). Thanks Sukhdev Singh

Regarding HandSet, i.e. C131 seems to be ok, no problems yet. However I have seen it automatically restaring one or two times. Otherwise it seems ok. Regarding VOICEMAILs, I did tried their helpline. My voicemails are forwarding if I do not answer for some time. However when my handset is switched off, the calling party gets the message "FORWARDING CALL" and after sometime gets the message " THE PERSON YOU ARE CALLING IS NOT AVAILABLE" though it is expected that it should record the message. Reliance Network is POOR as compared to AIRTEL. If it does not improve, I may swich over to MTNL's TRUMP. Which has poor network but very economical. Any other User?? Yes I am from Delhi. Just got connected by buying RIM Prepaid. I was Airtel MAGIC Prepaid user for about two year. I find nothing interesting about RIM Paid because it does not offer any edge over the MAGIC. Only temptation for mine buying RIM Prepaid, was that the handset comes free and I wanted one. I have not yet tasted the raoming. But it appears Reliance is not that good as Airtel, because at time people are not able to call me. More over I am not yet able to make the VOICEMAIL facility to work. What are your experience?.
