You cannot flash with dku5 cable, For flashing you need some expensive hardware which won't be feasible for flashing a few handsets. Also for flashing you need some expertise or else you can render your handless useless. For flashing nokia handset, its better to take it to a mobile repair shop and have it ruim flashed where you will be spending only Rs.200/300 rather then spending 10k to 15k for the flashing hardware. I agree its fun to do things yourself, but there are some limitations also

You will have to tell the service center people that you have pressed some code accidently and the network is gone becoz of that, otherwise those people will give you all type of craps saying network ic is gone and like that and try to make a big bill, otherwise normally they would charge you upto Rs.450 for restoring the files. Ps:There is no option for changing the activation date of the handset unless it is flashed for ruim or reflashed using some other flash version. you can see the activation date by pressing *#837#,even if u manage to change the date the nokia care people will know the approx date with the Esn in their database.

Surely you can do it,if you load tata prl and some channel changes then you will be getting tata network on the phone and in most cases when you dial *228 you will hear a tata prompt asking you for your 14 digit startup no,because tata activation does not require the handset to be preregistered in their database like reliance

Ok,here is the procedure.... Take one perfect nokia phone any model like 2280,3105 etc connect it using phoenix and go to file>open product>cdma ams, after the product is selected press goto troubleshooting>rf>read parameters. In the read parameter window press "read current" box down on the right hand side, then save this file as abc.tun after that goto cdma>prl, again press read from phone and then save the prl file as reliance.prl on ur computer. to save more trouble u can even go to cdma>phone settings and press "read all from phone" box, have patience here as it may take upto 2-3 mins to read the phone and your pc may look like its freezed, once you get the settings of the phone press save to file box and save it as reliance.pri now you have the tun,prl and pri file.now close the product and connect your faulty phone and do the same thing but in this case you will have to press load file from your pc and then select write to phone option. be careful not to write anything on the good phone. after doing all this restart your phone and your network will be back. after that go to the webworld and ask them for your min no and enter it on the phone by using *3001#12345# in this case your phone wont be asking you the spc code becoz your phone has been resetted. for the tun file you can even use tata phone but for the prl file you need a nokia phone with reliance network. I again say the best option for you is to go any mobile repairing shop and tell them to upload the tun files and have the phone running, its better to give them a few hundreds and get things working. dont try to do things on your own again, you can make the phone totally dead.Remember your using codes which were on the forum (which are with warning), gave you all these problems.
  8. Sos!help!help!sos!

    you need to have dku5,
  9. Sos!help!help!sos!

By resetting the phone you must have deleted the tun files of the phone so u wont be able to do the settings manually, for that you would need to upload tun files and prl files to your phone to get the network back using cable and software that is diego or phoenix for nokia phones. If you have both (cable and software) then I may be able to guide you.
  10. Sos!help!help!sos!

you wont be able to get back the Contact settings, but u will get back the network, the easiest way to get it back is to go to the nearest nokia service center.
  11. Laptop Discussion

Is it possible to change only the processor to core 2 duo mobile on laptops already running on pentium m
  12. Rconnect Unlimited Internet

God only knows when Reliance will come out of its Superiority Complex, and start charging in a sane way.
  13. Happy Diwali To All The RIMweb Members !

Wishing all Rimweb members and thier family a HAPPY DIWALI!
  14. Regarding Rsn Number...

only esn is not enough to clone a handset, you need the esn and mdn/min,and when u r buying second hand the seller wont know ur mdn/min.And one more thing, given todays call rate i dont think anyone would go to clone a handset as that may prove to be time consuming and expensive.
  15. Unlimited Internet On Mtnl Garuda

I heard about the speed of fwp,its really bad,but people say its becoz of the handset, hope the speed on mobile is good.
  16. Unlimited Internet On Mtnl Garuda

I have not tried, but will be subscribing for the unlimited plan atleast for a month and see,the only problem with mtnl is its customer care.
  17. Unlimited Internet On Mtnl Garuda

I have a garuda phone and the network is good and since its on cdma the speed should be good, try it for a month and see the speed, atleast i would be cheaper then the triband which you are using.
  18. Unlimited Internet On Mtnl Garuda

Mtnl also has a large garuda user base and after seeing this ad in todays paper many people will go for it,and mtnl, even in other plans, charges only for data downloaded and not like reliance and tata which charge u for data transfer that is upload and download. It is just the cream in the name of data transfer/data downloaded,I dont think isps pay for data transfer to get bandwidth. I think bsnl and mtnl are bringing a revolution in the internet arena, just as reliance did a few years ago to the telecom feild by making incoming free on mobiles.
  19. The best solution is given by Munnamobile,go for a new handset and get peace of mind with one year of warranty by nokia.
  20. Area (GPS) displayed on Nokia 2112

This area display thing is only in Reliance. There is no area display in Tata nor in Mtnl's Garuda. Now with the habit of pressing exit on Reliance,i try to press exit when using gsm phone and end up in putting on the loudspeaker of the phone
  21. BIRTHDAY WISHES!

    Happy Birthday Ashok JP Janmadinasamsakal!
  22. 2112 Problem

you are most welcome my friend
  23. Gandhigiri I never claimed I was an experienced member nor was thinking that u were saying that to me,I was just saying that what if the hcc never worked and the other member borrowed a handset from someone and loaded the gsk thinking that the hcc would work. Also, some problems look same but are different. Anyways we are just here to discuss, share and solve things not to fight so no hard feelings from my previous post please.
  24. I had submitted every thing but the problem was not solved. I had another rim no with LG 2030. The webworld people told me that even if you the other no cann't be changed to that Nokia 2280. They told me to take anew piece because the phone was blocked. In that case the 2280 handset which you have is reported lost/stolen/damaged to reliance, the only option u have now is either to have it ruim enabled or use the 2030.Hcc will also not work on the nokia 2280 once its blocked on the reliance database. @johny cage, even a blocked handset connects to reliance becoz its programmed in such a way that it can only access one network. And my advice to you is dont give advice to people of which u urself are not sure, like the hcc one which is now Rs.25 and not Rs.22
