The software to enable ruim in nokia or any phones require expensive hardware and it would be good if you go to your local mobile repair shop and ask him to flash your phone to enable ruim slot. He may charge around Rs.250 for doing it.

After buying the gsk you have to submit the documents and one photo with the prepaid form to the webworld/webexpress and have the gsk activated,after the gsk is activated dial *228 and enter the 9 digit pin no on ur gsk card and listen to the voice prompt through out.after that u may be able to use ur handset with the new gsk

Friends,the Esn no given is of a handset which is totally dead with no number on it and I gave it just to see/verify if he could give the rsn as i still have the box of the handset with the rsn/esn printed on it.I am totally aware that giving esn no to anyone can be dangerous.

I am just wondering who would go for the Rs.249(plus taxes) plan.Even paying Rs.25 per month is not worth.

First of all you lose ur no if u dont pay ur last bill for 110 days in case of postpaid,and in case of prepaid u lose the no when u dont recharge it for 3 months. second thing most probably the webworld people can give u the no with the rsn no of the handset. and if u want a new no u can just use a postpaid or prepaid gsk on your handset to get a new no there is no need to find the old no.

All are postpaid connections and its more thn 3years old,one out of them is a fwp. Never heard of the in-house network booster given by reliance, can you tell me how do make them to install one in my house.

Imagine all users in your office having reliance connection everyone would have moved around with a wired antena attached to their handset.I have four connections used by me and my family members,and the network in my house is really pathetic since august 2006,whenever we recieve calls or have to make calls we have to rush to the nearest window,at times our phones show as not reachable when infact we have it showing full network. Numerous complaints to customer care and to the chairmans office has not given us any solution. And now reliance has removed the contact chairman's link from its site Boss, wired antenna is not the solution,mobile phones are not for wired antennas.

Currently there are network problems in most of the places in Mumbai,as it seems reliance is experimenting with thier cell sites in mumbai by removing some and moving some,maybe they are making way for their gsm network/towers. were you getting proper network in other rooms and facing this problem now ? call *333 and inform them about the problem you are facing.

Flashing phone means putting a set of commands about network frequency,operating voltage,ringtones etc on the phones flash drive with which the phone operates,these set of commands are called flash files. when we say flashing a phone means putting a flash file in the phone. flashing may be required if the phone is not working properly or if a new version of flash files are available for that phone or in the case of cdma phones you have flash files for phones to work on ruim if they have ruim support and hardware. For flashing a phone you need expensive hardwares and a lot of expertise bcoz mistake in flashing can cause the phone to not work properly in some cases make the phone dead.

it happens on the internet always,remember the good old days of geohumor.com where pakis were made fun of and abused in all possible ways,anyway they did deserve it but what i mean to say here is that people with hatred are always there on the forums and comunities like orkut and we dont have much control over them,i know google will respect the indian law and will remove such things from orkut because it sees india as a major opportunity and many of its workers are from india but what if these type of things come up on some other blog or forum which does not respect our govt and ignores any apeal by the govt and we dont have any control over them ? and right as someone said here in this post we should ignore such things.If a dog barks at a king(India) the king cant bark back at him nor can he ask for the dog to be killed,becoz he knows he is a king and barking of a dog wont change his status.

Flashing nokia phones require special hardware which is a bit expensive,also a lot of expertise is sometimes required to flash phones.so i you are planning to flash only one phone its better to go to a mobile repairing shop or you u would end paying thrice the money of the phone in just getting the equipment for flashing the phone.

For nokia the rsn no is on the box which comes with the new handset and it is advisable to write down the rsn no on a sticker and paste it on the handset before discarding the box,for all other handsets as SPDF said its behind the battery of the handset.

The best solution for your problem is go to the police and make a police complaint against the guys.One more thing whenever you recieve any pestering calls getting angry or irritated inspires the person to annoy you more and in the bargain will circulate the number to others to have fun,so whenever you recieve blank calls or any such calls just be cool and ignore it dont show your anger and they will not be interested.

you can repair it if you have some knowledge of electronics and have tools for it,any old nokia headset connector can be used to change the connector but it requires a good soldering knowledge and a lot of care. try your local mobile repairing shop and tell him to replace the connector for you,most of them would not agree to change it and would advice you that throw it,and say it may give trouble later or it can damage your phone etc,if he agrees he should not charge more then Rs.50.

some sellers on ebay offer cash on delivery and things are sometimes delivered faster when this option is selected.

I also feel the same,its a war of technology and monopoly and surely nokia must be playing some role in cdma providers moving to gsm.
