Help Me Nokia 2112 Tata Indicom Dead !
prathod replied to thinkpositive's topic in Technical / OS related
There was no need to flash your handset just to get back the security code, now even if you get back the network, setting the number back to ur handset will require you to go to the tata outlet,as you may not be having your min number. To get your network back you will need to load tun file to your phone as the tun files have not been uploaded while flashing, you can upload your tun file using phoenix (not sure about the latest diego) and you will get back the network.Apart from loading the tun file you may also need to set up the cdma channels, sid, nid etc for your handset to work on tata/reliance network. The best solution is given by Hpnasik, that is flash your phone for using ruim card and then go to the nearest web world buy a blank ruim card and have your no transfered on that ruim. You can ask the same guy who flashed your phone to flash it for ruim. If you require the tun file or the settings I can post it here provided the mods/admins allow it. Regards Pankaj. -
Today I experienced no network between Dahisar and Mira road(Mumbai Circle) between 5pm and 9pm. I was even not able to reach any reliance mobile by calling from landline/other mobile. Any reports from other areas ?

There is no need to reinstall the software, they will just connect the cable and will either tell you your security code or reset it to 12345,and I dont think they will charge you anything for it. The other alternative for you is to download diego or phoenix and connect your phone using dku5 cable, you can view your security code and can even change it.The download link for diego is given somewhere in this forum. You will find many materials on diego on this forum.

*3001#12345# won't show your security code in some ruim enabled phones, the best solution is to go to a nokia service center and ask them to reset your security code. You can find your nearest service center here http://nokia.co.in/nokia/0,,89837,00.html .

Is it easy to reactivate the handset ? I heard you have to wait in long Q for reactivating the handset at parel and that too with some documents. Can you describe the procedure of reactivating the rsn/esn again in case of reported lost.

Thanks Arun for upgrading and enabling additional features to Rimweb.Would be happy if you could let us know whats new in this upgrade and list available features so that we can make the maximum use of it.

try activating the phone by dialing *228,maybe your phone was not activated on the network,if you hear "please enter the 9 digits as mentioned in the reliance start up kit" then your phone is activated on the network or else you will hear please wait while your phone is being activated. I have seen this happening to some phone whereas the phone is working but when we dial *228 it activates the phone and tells the number. There is no harm in trying this.

Bsnl Offers Unlimited Internet On Cdma 2000 1x In Urban Areas Also.
prathod replied to Dr.Gagan's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
You can configure/program your own handset or data card and give the esn no,along with a fresh connection form and other documents, for a new connection. There is no roaming available on BSNL/Mtnl Cdma.Cant say about Bsnl but Garuda Internet services are good. The only drawback is their customer service which is not 24hours and you wont get much technical help if required. As for Coimbatore, I think this unlimited package should be available all over India. -
Not sure about diego, but you can load/write tun files using phoenix without the dongle, offcourse with the dongle crack.

Now we should find out the tree and put him back there, hahahahaha
-
In what way will it help us in knowing the identities, there are many on the board, but just to find out the bugs and loopholes not to help or improve the services.

offtopic : They are infact giving importance to usbcard/data card and suddenly the speed of fwp/fwt have gone down.Looks like its a promotion gimmick for their data cards. Ontopic : Dont want to lose friends by refering to reliance.

you can view prl, edit them and even create new prl using this utility.Be careful, wrongly created/edited prl can freeze your phone and will need a lot of your patience, logic and skill to rectify the handset once its loaded.I have gone thru it so am warning you.but still its a good utility to get an idea whats in a prl. prledit.zip

How To Buy Cdma Mobile Out Side India?
prathod replied to Burning_spirit's topic in Technical / OS related
you can use cdma handsets from abroad(800mhz only) on Tata, Bsnl(Tarang) and Mtnl(Garuda) network,u just have to program the cdma channels to whichever network u want to use it. For Tata u need to load Tata's prl on the handset to use it while roaming, whereas Bsnl and Mtnl dont offer roaming on their cdma networks so no prl is required for them. For Tata u just have to program it and load a gsk available in the market, whereas for Mtnl and Bsnl u have to program it and give them the esn no to have it updated on their database.Unfortunately Reliance does not allow other handsets even from other Indian networks,so forget using handsets from abroad on Reliance network. -
Interesting But with call rates so cheap nowadays who would want to take all the trouble to find out how to make free calls.

Microsoft has always been the favourite of hackers bcoz flaws are present and holes have been left open for them. And read lately in the newspapers that pirated versions of Vista are available in China for $10 or so....
