Why are v all waiting for 3G ??? As government is only giving away 3-4 slots of spectrum, for more than 10 players are available in India... I expect spectrum to cost each player somewhere around 10,000 crore for a national license plus equipment cost for all the old players like voda and airtel if they start giving 3G services This is a huge onetime cost, almost equal to setting up a pan India 2G network... Who going to pay this much price?? v consumer... we are going back to starting of mobile services in India, when operators were asked to give heavy one time entry fees which resulted in call rates of 32 and 16 rs per min When operators are asked to shell large amount, service is going to be costly resulting less usage of 3G...and slow implementation and future investment how many really need, video call, video chat??? for data...EvOD will give competition to all 3G GSM players....

I don't think revenues will take a bad hit margins might drop, which happens in all industry, 35-40% margin is just too much to sustain in long term...it will come down to 20% and stabilize Revenues wont be impacted as their are many customers who have actually increased their usage rate I remember giving miss calls to friends to communicant a msg, but now how many of us actually thinks before making a call also pay per sec hav increased usage rate in lot of students telecos like Aritel and Voda might take a impact as they are the costliest in terms of tariffs and many customers have started dumping or have made it just for incoming

Please try it on CDMA and CDMA network and GSM and GSM network I can clearly notice the difference when i call a number of GSM Idea and RCDMA

CDMA is far superior technology... U will never get comparable data speed or voice clarity on GSM network.... so 1 looking for quality and knows bit basics about technology... might just want to stick to CDMA.... 1S MNP is introduced....more open handsets for CDMA will be available Price is more or less depends on production volume... this is one of the main reason of high cost of CDMA phones apart from the loyalty charges given to Qualcomm

What i heard for GSM is that they are going to tie with MTNL on franchise basis (not the TATA's)

Used BPL/Loop in Pune... pathetic network Airtel in Chennai/maharashtra ..good network and CC but they are choor...after 2 years yet to get my Refund Reliance GSM..Used in Mumbai(took in Jan 2009)...that time network was bad...never used to get connected in a single time..but now i have heard it has improved... Reliance CDMA..using since last 4 years.. used in Gujrat/Rajsthan/TN/MP/Maharashtra...Best network...CC was bad...but now CC has improved a lot.. Clear winner Reliance CDMA

It happens sometime...may be technical failures happened in CDMA connection 1s when i was at home... al three connection went dead at 3.00Am.. was alive after 30 mins or so...

DOCOMO pressure?? Really i dont think so... They are not a big player to make such an impact... TATA are stil in losses of over 2000Cr in Mobile service.... N i think they are very near to sell it off to some other player... Pay per call and per second might be just there last try Its all because of Reliance simple... Just look at Stock market(Telecom stocks)after the launch of this plan almost all stocks are down to there year lows... What are the plan details? Recharge option? validity? *Conditions????
