  1. Good .. finally Reliance awake... anyway jaab Jagoo taab Savera... But again .Reliance does it again.... one has to keep spending RS 200 per six month means Rs 33 per month to keep alive the incoming calls free connection. In Rs 649 plan it was Rs 125 per three month means Rs 41... almost same.... Why one need to charge so heavily and so frequntly to keep the connection alive, then what is the meaning of Life-Time Incoming free? If u r not charging means u will not get Incoming calls... means it is not free at all. What do u think? If it is lifetime Free it means totally Free only... nothing else.

Few days back I lost my LG RD 5130 phone. I then purchased Classic color handset with Fm radio and got transferred the old number to this new handset. But I am facing a strange problem. When I see the service area under display option it says “ You are not yet registered”. Sometimes it shows the name of service area , specially when I switch-off and switch-on it . What could be the problem? Do I have to register the handset with reliance? PS: After purchasing this Classic handset and activated my old number, I noticed this problem. I immediately called to Reliance customer care. The answer I got was funny. I have been told to " get check this handset with nearest service center." A Brand new handset requires service center's checking/support? Isn’t a ridiculous idea, which customer support executive told without understanding of A,B,C of Problem. I didn’t give-up. Next day I called again and after hearing the answer from customer support person, decided to give up. They told me "Your problem cannot be treated as problem at all. It can be treated as suggestion / feedback only. When I told I called to solve my problem, not to give any feedback/suggestion, but they didn’t budged-up. As per them non-display of service area is not a problem, and if you are reporting it, it is mere suggestion or feedback to reliance. That’s why I have posted this problem in this forum.
  4. How To Get Lost Handset

I forget to mention ,my handset was lifetime prepaid. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yes it can be activated on Reliance Network because now that you have transferred the no to another cell this LG 5130 becomes a D-provisioned handset and hence it can be reused. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have been told many times by Reliance Customer care that this Handset could not be used further. As usual it is better to cross check their information. That’s why I posted this problem in this forum. This handset has no SIM card and it comes bundled with number. I believe the number is tied with handset. Can you tell me Hardware Number/ID (means Handset Number) has anything to do with mobile number? Does both handset hardware number and Mobile number are linked with each other, in any way?
  5. How To Get Lost Handset

I had LG RD 5130 handset, which i lost on last Sunday 01-july 2007. Some one found it and made some outgoing calls. I sent SMS to my mobile and I warned him/her not to use it. Later I blocked my RIM number by calling customer care. After four days, I bought new handset and transferred my old RIM number to new handset. I still believe, I can get my old handset back. As the person, who found it made some calls, that outgoing numbers can be traced easily. Based on those outgoing numbers, one can find the person who used that mobile. (1) Can anyone tell how to get the list of outgoing calls made from lost handset during that period? Does Reliance provide such facility in these types of cases? (2)Can my LG RD5130 be used with TATA Indicom or any other CDMA provider?(It was w/o SIM card)
  6. Hacking LG RD5130 with Bitpim

I want to register my Protest for whatsoever is going on under the name of "Hacking "LG RD5130 with BitPim" in this forum. I believe the moderator should have to do their job more precisely and they should not remove the previous posts on the name of editing. My 2 or 3 posts are just removed even though there were discussions going on. Now come to the main and only point that is connectivity of RD 5130 (YES RD 5130 not any other model as discussed in this forum) with BitPim.Based on my experience (Total 10+) in IT in the field of networking and sys/web admin, I dare to say that you can "Hack" system only when you established connectivity with it. Without connection it is not possible to” hack" any system and I believe there could not be a second thought on it, Right? Connectivity is must!!!So when there is no connectivity between BitPim and LG RD 5130, what r u trying to hack? It is ridiculous to mention the word” Hack" as in main topic even though there is no sign of connectivity. So it is the Title of Topic which must be edited first, not the posting by members. So Again Back to square one. Has any LG RD 5130 user succeed in getting connection with his/her handset to BitPim (any version) using proper cable (serial/usb) and port setting? If so please come forward and join this discussion. I believe we have enough ifs and buts hence only those who actually tried LG RD 5130 successfully must come forward.
  7. Hacking LG RD5130 with Bitpim

Thanks for your reply. The port is correct and cable is also correct. I am able to Browse Internet , able to Use LG Sync and LG Desktoplite since last many weeks. The only problem which I guess is related to Phone type. I guess instead of " Other CDMA phone " i should select some phone, which is nearer to RD 5130. If u tried your LG RD 5120 with BitPim and succeed, let me know the phone model type.
  8. Hacking LG RD5130 with Bitpim

Thanks Vishal for your reply. I tried the same as you said but in vain. I am unable to see any folder(s). Yes when Is elected file system and click on "+" sign , it did search for "something". But finally it failed to connect to handset and didn’t show any folder. I configured the connection setting as : other CDMA mobile" and Port "Com6" as some setting is necessary to make a connection. The port setting is correct , cable is correct as i am able to browse the Internet and able to use LGSync. Could you thro some more light
  9. Hacking LG RD5130 with Bitpim

Dear LG RD 5130 users... Has anyone tried BitPim for LG RD 5130 handset? Yesterday I downloaded BitPim version 0.8.14 -official from Sourceforge , but this version doesn’t support the RD 5130 model. I tried "Other CDMA phone , but in vain. Can anyone tell which model of LG( Listed with BitPim) is compatible with RD 5130?LG’s own DesktopLite doesn’t support Wallpapers and Ring tone though it is very good with phone book.
