  2. MNP Experience

SAME HERE wanted to port my MTS number to tata cdma about 2 months ago at Patna and got the same response. I didnt argue with them much as i wanted to port just because of licence cancellation of MTS. Now i have decided to wait till auction.
  3. Cricket Alerts From 58888

Thanks I have tried GSTOP lets see whether is stops or not, will come to know during next match.
  4. I am just curious as to how can they give unlimited when they have to pay 20 paise per call to the terminating network? Local and std calls these days are around 30 paise so for majority of people phone bill above of 500-600 is not likely, any one who will take this plan will sure use it very well. So what is in it for the company?
  5. I saw a small clipping on Z business cannot say about the legalities and at what level they are planning this venture.
  6. Good offer and according to z business channel sistema is in talks with aircel to acquire a stake in the company. They may announce it after all the rules and pricing for spectrum auction comes out.
  7. I think MTS is done in India there is no business case for them if reserve price in not reduced by 70-80%. They will not spend 3-4 b$ for 2.5 mhz spectrum even if they some how do it then also they have to keep giving same tariff otherwise nobody will take it. Their data dreams will also be shattered by RIL and others and however technology neutral 2.5 mhz will be like stirring bucket with a spoon. My take bye bye MTS( only miracle in spectrum pricing can save them now)
  8. Why risk buying Locked handset now when their licence has been cancelled. Who knows if they will spend 3-4 billion dollars to retain it.
  9. Diabetes

Thank you friends. @Inception I try to eat 2000-2200 calories in a day divided into 4-5 meals. breakfast is generally 2 pc brown bread with peanut butter and a bowl of wheat flakes with milk. Lunch consists of 2-3 rotis with 2 vegetables, 1 katori dal and 1 katori dahi with papad and salad. dinner again 1-2 roti 1 vegetable 1 katori daal and 1 cup milk. Apart from this i have 3-4 cups of tea with marie god biscuit and 1 table spoon mixture or roasted peanuts. I use sugar free in tea and milk etc. In evening i eat 5-6 egg whites and 1 complete egg(boiled). Once in a week i eat 1000 extra calories in fast food anything i want(pizza, samosa, burger anything). For exercise i go jogging in the morning 5 times a week sunday is off and one random day in week i choose as per my wish. These days i run 5-6 kms and walk 2 kms but i started by walkink 1 hr in the begining and then slowly slowly i built my stamina and leg strength. '' GIVE YOUR BODY 1HOUR AND YOUR BODY WILL GIVE YOU BACK 23 GOOD HOURS'' Start exercising today its never late..
  10. Diabetes

Dear friends 8 months of diet control and jogging has made me lose 38 kilos. Sugar 2 hr after breakfast has come in 90s. Posting a few before and after pics.
  11. As expected both MTS and UNINOR have put up strong messages on their website saying business as usual, we are competition, competition will prevail, will use all legal means necessary, uninor says have invested 14000 crores, mts says have invested 12500 crores, both saying services will not stop. So auction no auction these are here to stay. IT might become an opportunity for MTS to get gsm airwaves also and it will also become a dual tech operator.
  12. omnia w is a windows phone and other two are androids so you should first decide which os you want. In my opinion you should go with andriod and go for defy+ only if you have an active lifestyle i.e you move a lot or if you commute through motorbike a lot. On the other hand if you keep sitting in office all day and dont move much then neo v is a better choice. Dont buy a rugged phone if you dont need it. I have used samsung marine b2100 and regretted buying it as it was heavy, ugly and had muffed earpiece voice due to water proofing.
  13. MTS and UNINOR have spent more than 10000 crores each till date so they are here to stay no matter what they have to do. But if they have to bid for spectrum then they might have to shell out a very big amount of money which i think will be upwards of 5000 crores. How will they offer cheap services then? We know quality wise they cant match the biggies. These two are in a very tight situation.
  14. Does this mean rcom+infotel broadband=1. If these 2 companies become one even cartels airtel+voda+idea will not be able to stand against it let alone any one company( LTE+GSM+CDMA spectrum and loads of money and political power).
  15. Today I also went to reliance world in Patna. The customer care guy the senior most person whom others were calling sir also said to me that roaming will go away from feb 2012.
  16. TRAI proposes to abolish iuc charges by 2014 The TRAI has now proposed that the levy proposed for terminating a mobile call on a network be done away with effect from 2014. The development has significance for telcos, especially the larger established players. CNBC-TV18's economic policy editor Siddharth Zarabi reports. The termination charge is the charge that is paid on the network, which receives the call. So if it’s a call that is terminating on network X emanating from Y, the customer of network Y has to pay this charge. Currently, it is at 20 paise. This was supposed to have been cut down from 2009 onwards 2010 litigation started and this was challenged. Now, CNBC-TV18 learns from sources that the TRAI has put up an affidavit at the Supreme Court where it proposes to abolish the mobile termination charge 2014 onwards. So, essentially from 2014 onwards — actually 2015 — perhaps it will become bill and keep. That means the 20 paise tax will be done away with. As a short-term interim measure, this levy will be reduced by half to 10 paise for the year 2012-13. Effectively with the termination charge being done away with there will be two key impacts. One, of course, for customers who can now hope to save due to networks not charging them. This termination charge is inbuilt into every call on a per minute basis. The other bit is that if you look at traffic patterns earlier there was a large outflow of calls from Bharat Sanchar going onto the newer mobile networks. Now we have smaller mobile networks which emanate a lot of calls and these get terminated in the larger established players. But the fact is that traffic patterns have changed. Outgoing calls are more or less equal those of incoming calls, so effectively the bigger benefit is for customers provided it is passed onto them by the networks and the other will be that it will change the dynamics of the operators who stand to benefit from receiving termination charges those who have large networks who get calls but the numbers on that are not very clear. For now, we can end by saying that the TRAI has now asked permission from the Supreme Court to go ahead and notify this and once this happens this new scheme will come into effect. 17. Diabetes

@ Rajan bhai, Vinay bhai, Akash bhai and kshah bhai Thank you so much for supporting me. It is support and encouragement from fiends and family that keeps me going. Will try to share more of my experience in losing weight, running and controlling sugar in coming time.
  18. Diabetes

Dear Friends I was diagnosed with pre-diabeties 2 months ago sugar level 120 in fasting. I was 120 kg 6 feet and my age was 25. I used to lead a very bad lifestyle sleep at 4-5 am get up at 2-3 pm. I used to smoke around 30 cigarettes daily and i used to eat like there is no tomorrow. Drink 5-6 650ml beer bottles at a time 2-3 days a week that too with large quantity of fried snacks. So when i found out my sugar levels i woke up and have completely changed my lifestyle. sleeping at 10-11 getting up at 5 in the morning and going for jogging. 2 months ago when i tried to jogg i was not able to run for even 2 minutes. but with time my leg and lungs got stronger and now i easily run for 30 mins approx 4.5 kms in 3 sets of 10 mins(i walk for 5 mins in between). I have just drank 3 beers in 2 months and am down to 3-4 cigarettes. I have completely stopped outside food i.e fast food and sugar and sugar related products. With these efforts i have lost 11 kilos in 2 months and also my sugar has come to 99. People who want suggestion as to what to eat and what not to eat I would like to say 1) Instead of having 3 large meals try to have 6-7 small meals in interval of 2-3 hours. 2)Sugar is not the culprit in increasing sugar levels CARBOHYDRATES increase sugar levels and sugar which we use our homes is 100% carbohydrates. Buy a pack of GLUCON-D and see for urself 100 gm glucose is 100 gram carbs. 3) carbohydrates are also of 2 types one is simple and it increases blood sugar very fast these are our table sugar, white bread, white polished rice, pasta, potato and almost all fast foods these should be avoided at all costs(maggi, noodles, every thing that comes in a packet, all biscuits, chips, etc) 4) second type is complex carbohydrates which has FIBRE in it and is ok to eat in limited quantities. these are whole wheat roti, whole grain bread, brown rice and all vegetables, oats, all bran wheat flakes etc. you should eat these. 5) eating fibre is very important for diabetics as limits foods ability to rise blood sugar levels. 6) Chickpea a.k.a Chana a.k.a Bengal gram can be a exellent food for diabetics for breakfast or snacks. Sprouted chana has water, protien, good carbs and fibre in it I reccomend making it your primary cereal. all lentils and pulses are also good, kidney beans a.k.a rajma is also good, you can also eat nuts almonds, peanuts etc. Non-veg eaters can have eggs in a big way and chicken and fish also. 7) Friends we all have a habit of eating less veggies and pulses or daal in our meal compared to rice or roti. Change it eat 1-2 roti and big katori of daal and big servings of vegetables DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE BIG SERVING OF SALAD IN UR MEAL*( onions, tomato, lettuce, raddish, peas, carrots, etc) 8) soft drinks is what even fruit juices should be avoided YES EVEN FRESHLY SQUEEZED JUICE. Eat whole fruits instead. juicing removes all fiber from the fruit. 9) Milk should be limited to 500 ml daily. NOT more Exercise is also very important if you are below 30 you should atleast walk and try to run. If over 40 should walk only for 40-50 mins daily (Brisk walking) These are some things which i would like to share with you. I have just typed as things have come to my mind so if there are some mistakes please forgive me just trying to help:)
  19. Draft telecom policy 2011: Roaming mobile charges could be abolished; MNP may be extended beyond base circle Source: http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2011-09-15/news/30160072_1_mobile-number-mobile-operators-mobile-phone
  20. Supreme court gives TRAI 3 months for IUC formulation The Supreme Court on Friday gave three-month extension to telecom regulator TRAI for completing formulation of the new Interconnection Usage Charge (IUC) regime. A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice S.H. Kapadia allowed the urgent plea of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) seeking more time for IUC. Interconnection charges are paid by a telecom service provider for using network of other operators for transmitting and completing a call. The Apex court had on February 4 given TRAI four months for coming up with recommendation on telecom interconnection charges, which expired on June 4. Meanwhile, TRAI today faced intense opposition from GSM operators in the court for not including capital expenditure (CAPEX) while determining fresh IUC. They submitted that the regulator was not acting fairly. Senior advocate Harish Salve and Abhishek Manu Singhvi appearing for Bharti Airtel and Vodafone, respectively, said that TRAI should add CAPEX and OPEX (operation expenditure) while determining fresh IUC. Mr. Salve further alleged that the entire exercise of the TRAI to exclude CAPEX in the earlier IUC, was done just to favour an operator, Reliance Communication. However, the apex court declined to go into it and said that at present it would decide only on TRAI plea. TRAI, in an application filed last month, had requested the apex court “to grant further 3 months’ time to TRAI to carry out exercise in framing IUC regulation”. The telecom regulator, facing opposition from the new and established telecom operators over the issues and methods adopted in consultation process to review IUC, had also requested the apex court to give suitable directions over it. It had requested the apex court to “grant suitable direction regarding the procedure and method to be followed by it (TRAI) since there are difficulties/issues with regard to implementation of compliance with the directions of TDSAT in the impugned order“. TRAI’s IUC regulation was widely opposed by the state-run BSNL and private operators -- Bharti, Vodafone, Idea, Aircel, Etisalat DB and CDMA lobby group AUSPI on various grounds. In May, the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) had dismissed the plea filed by the UK-based telecom operator Vodafone, which opposed some of the questions incorporated in IUC consultation paper of TRAI. On February 4 this year, the apex court had directed TRAI to frame the IUC regulations afresh as per the directions of the TDSAT. TDSAT had on September 29 last year set aside the TRAI’s Interconnection Usage Charges (Regulation), 2009 and asked the telecom regulator to bring out fresh regulations in consultations with various stake holders. http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/article2230455.ece
  21. One friend of mine wants to buy 3-4 walkie talkies for use in his factory. Some one told him that using walkie talkie is illegal in India and requires a licence. Can anyone shed some light on this issue and also suggest what and where to buy from. His maximum range requirement is 2 kms.
  22. Using 2-Way Walkie Talkie In India

I have inquired thoroughly and came to know that if u want to legally use a walky talkie there are certain private security companies which give the hardware and they arrange the licence also. But i dont think it will save your phone bill as it is quite expensive. The cost structure which was given to me is- 1. handset 4.5k each 2. one time registration fee 6.5k 3. yearly licence fee for 2 sets 1750 and rs 550 for every additional set. On the other hand you can get sets from abroad and use them at your own risk. The problem with doing so is if there is any licensed ham operator in your area and if by chance he is using the same frequency that your sets operate on will get disturbed by you and he might complain to someone. And if you will like to go for licensed sets with warranty and technical support log on to www.radiocom.in
  23. The fight between gsm cartel and new operators on IUC has intensified so much that even TRAI is running for cover. No matter what TRAI would have set the charges one party or other would have immediately moved to court against the same.(as vodafone moved to TDSAT after reading consultation paper). So this time TRAI has asked supreme court to advice on the methodology to calculate the cost. So now whatever SC decides would be final as no one can appeal against supreme court decision.
  24. Even open house discussion has been done on 25th may regarding IUC. I beleive TRAI will come out with new IUC charges in the next 7-14 days.
  25. According to an article in telecom talk DOT has permitted prepaid roaming in Assam and North east. Its a very good move and i hope it will be done for J&K also in coming time. In an attempt to provide greater benefits to mobile users of Assam and North East telecom circles as well as In-Roamers in North East India, The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has asked Mobile Service operators (CMTS/UAS) to lift the ban on Prepaid Roaming Service in Assam and North East. Now prepaid mobile subscribers of North East including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland and Mizoram can Roam all across India except in Jammu & Kashmir circle. According to DoT circular No. 800-14/2011-VAS, the Prepaid mobile subscribers from other circles across India (except J&K) also can enjoy seamless Roaming in Assam & NE telecom circles. Earlier the prepaid mobile service users of other telecom circles of India are not allowed Roaming facilities while visiting seven North Eastern states including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland and Mizoram due to security reasons. source: http://telecomtalk.info/dot-allows-pan-india-prepaid-roaming-facility-for-assam-and-north-east/67168/
