The link shows that zero plan customers will have data cap of 5GB which is too low. I need to complaint about this. I still have 1 year of subscription left.Any idea where i can file complaint ?

Why it is a bad news for unlimited plan users? -
The 4G upgrade is going to based on RGSM for voice. Eventually GSM customers will also get 4G, may be sometime later.

In the handsets offered by paytm, Band 3 and Band 40 are common. so we can assume that whatever handset has both band 3 & 40 for LTE will work with RCOM 4G.

Rcom paytm tie up for 4g upgrade. 6 mobile are shown on offer page, means these phones essentially work on Rcom 4G. Asus zenfone Maxx Samsung j2 Lenovo a6000 Samsung j7 Yu yuphoria Gionee f103 Only for existing reliance user and 4G sim also be delivered. it seems that none of these handsets support VoLTE and none is CDMA, means we will be automatically shifted to RGSM network, Which is least prefered network even behind BSNL.

Rcom has tied up with paytm for 4g handset upgrade. Mobile will be delivered along with 4G sim. Only for active cdma users but no clue about existing plans. What about 2yr advance rental plan ?

Cdma phone and connections are no more available in reliance stores in ghaziabad.

Let me clarify. There is no CDMA and GSM LTE. LTE/4g is the culmination of both CDMA 2000/1x/EVDO and GSM/EDGE/GPRS/UMTS/HSDPA. What you are seeing in options is whether the fallback for LTE will be on CDMA or GSM. If you want a phone to work in India fully on 4g, buy one that supports bands 5, 40 and also VOLTE Yes when they give you a 4G SIM it will work if i assume Fallback for LTE on CDMA, then they will not shut down cdma service. If fallback for LTE on GSM then all cdma customers need to port to RGSM. Both cases are unlikely.

lot of confusion (or you can i am a noob in this tech world).. in the other thread some member post QA type which stated that "voice will be through fallback on 2G/3G network and data will be provided by 4G network",. if this is true, is it necessary to have VoLTE enabled phone for voice ?

Just wait for 2-3 weeks, this will be in open sale even with 32 gb. Further 2-3 weeks and there will be discount as well. The companies want to make us impatient by falsh sale mode. We must defer our purchasing in flash sale. -

confused!! why a customer on cdma will be shifted to GSM 4g? shouldnt cdma spectrum be used for cdma 4g? will the rcom has 2 separate 4g, cdma 4 g and gsm 4g?
