  1. i am having a BSNL 3G Postpaid Sim and i am using it on unlocked datacard of BETTEL, but its not working, whereas all other sims of airtel , aircel mtnl are working properly. i think it might be bcoz of roaming. i need to save the, dial number and apn before connecting to the network. i have saved *99# as dial number and bsnlnet as APN

Kindly help me to get it connected in MTNL Delhi.

in Bettel 3G data card we 1st need to manually save the dail number and apn for once then we can connect it.

  2. But the question is : Since I plan to stay in Mumbai, should I wait till I reach there to get a reliance connection or should I just get it in Pune?

Or does is make no difference (if recharges can be done from anywhere)

I am in Pune and having 440 plan... whenever i visit to mumbai R2R is totally free from there also..... so i think for 599 prepaid also visiting mumbai Goa or maharashta will be same and u will be getting all the services as in pune like free calling R2R

  4. Today Nokia announced the launch of Dual SIM Nokia X1-01.These phones offer a Dual SIM experience superior to any other models on the market, remembering the settings for up to five different SIM cards and with no compromise on battery life, music features or messaging.

Nokia X1-01 is inexpensive phones that offer an exceptionally long battery life. That’s up to 43 days standby time and 13 hours talk time on the Nokia X1-01 – or 36 hours if you choose to play music solidly.

The Nokia C2-00 offers a still-gigantic 19.2 days standby time, with 5.75 hours talk time. Both devices are aimed at developing markets where, often, a steady and reliable power supply isn’t yet a reality. The daily top-up that many smartphone users in other regions have become used to isn’t always an option in some parts of the world. Nokia X1-01

Nokia X1-01 is offer a Dual SIM experience superior to any other models on the market, remembering the settings for up to five different SIM cards – and with no compromise on battery life, music features or messaging.

The Nokia X1-01 is a music machine, as evidenced by the massive speaker on the back, which can deliver up to 106 phon. A phon is a unit of perceived loudness. If you have 106 of them in a mobile device, it’s loud enough to serve as a makeshift home-entertainment system. The speaker has also been specially tuned so that there’s little distortion, even when turned up to eleven. The Nokia X1-01 has in fact got the loudest and clearest speaker Nokia has ever produced!

The device offers support for up to 16GB of storage using the SD card slot – enough for thousands of songs on board. It offers an FM radio, of course, and also an MP3 music player with dedicated music keys and one-click creation of a favourite playlist. The 3.5mm AV jack can be used to plug the output into headphones or even louder speakers. The Nokia X1-01 also has a flashlight on the top. That’s a useful feature for anyone, but especially so if you can’t rely on the power supply or where civic lighting doesn’t exist.

In addition to remembering the settings for up to five separate SIM cards, the Nokia X1-01 also lets you give each SIM its own logo, music signature or ringtone.

    Nokia C2-00

The Nokia C2-00 offers a number of additional features. The main one is the way the SIM cards are arranged, offering Easy Swap, a feature that’s only on offer from Nokia. One SIM card is stored internally, like a traditional phone. The second card is easily accessible through a slot in the side – so you don’t have to open or even switch the phone off to change SIMs. This is especially useful for people who want to use more than two SIMs, such as if the phone was to be shared between different members of a family, a group of friends or various community members, for example.

While the Nokia X1-01 runs the Series 30 operating system, the Nokia C2-00 runs Series 40, which offers some key advantages in the form of internet access, a web browser and Nokia Messaging for email. The Nokia C2-00 also sports a VGA camera and allows for MMS messaging. There’s support for up to 32GB of storage using an SD card, allowing users to carry thousands of photos, videos and music files.

In selected markets, the two phones will be offered with Ovi Life Tools: bringing news, market prices, entertainment, health advice and education services to people who are likely to find it difficult to get these things in other ways.

The Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00 will ship this quarter in India, China, South-East Asia/Pacific region, Middle East and Africa, Eurasia and Brazil. Before local taxes or subsidies, the X1-01 will cost €34 while the C2-00 will cost €45.

he will see the handset and take a call as to which sim card is required and get a sim accordingly. he also needs to show your id proof so as to avail the card from the back office.

I felt this was the only tricky part.

I have asked him to come and collect the same from my off tomorrow

I am risking Rs. 150 and my Identity proof

Need to know your takes on this.

"Me:- When shall i get the Card

CP:- Sir my person shall collect the docs tomorrow, along with the Amount process from our office and return to you with the required type of sim to you within next working day.

he will see the handset and take a call as to which sim card is required and get a sim accordingly. he also needs to show your id proof so as to avail the card from the back office."

  7. Virgin Mobile India, a JV between Tata Tele (TTSL) and Virgin Group which started in 2008 has come to an end as Virgin Group is planning to exit from the venture.

TTSL will buy the shares of Virgin Group and will sell their services under Virgin brand. For that TTSL will pay to Virgin Group for brand royalty.

Still spokesperson of both TTSL and Virgin India did not comment on this. It is also not clear for how much Tata is buying Virgin’s share in the JV. It is expected TTSL will buy the share in phased manner.

Virgin Mobile chose wrong operator -it made entry into India partnering TTSL in March, 2008.That time TTSL was offering mobile services only on CDMA as Tata Indicom. Tata Indicom has no circles where it is positioned 1st or 2nd or 3rd as per subscriber base.

Virgin Mobile chose wrong technology – CDMA while it targets youth population. CDMA is not a preferred technology for youth as to be a Virgin one need to get a CDMA handset. Virgin did not introduce any great CDMA handset which can attract youths. Also limited choice of CDMA handsets keeps people to be a Virgin. Virgin Mobile did not offer OMH RUIM, OMH handsets and data services (1X or EVDO) on handsets. Even VMI plans are not really cheap, often hidden with daily rentals.

With excellent TVC, presence over social networking sites and paying for incoming calls Virgin Mobile India did awesome work for Brand Awareness. But nothing works!

Virgin’s foray into data card market (vFlash and vLink using TTSL CDMA 1X and EVDO network) never works because TTSL never wanted to give competition to its own Photon+. No cheap tariff of vFlash and vLink for youth certainly gives a thumbs down!

I always believe being under the hood of TTSL and not being a MVNO, venture of Virgin Mobile in India suffers a lot. TTSL treated VMI as stepson! Even Tata Indicom shoppe do not sell VMI connection, but they sell Tata Docomo. But TTSL can make really good with its CDMA services using Virgin branding. GSM Service from Tata Tele as Tata Docomo was introduced in India in 2009 and CDMA business goes under more negligence.

  8. If its locked u wont b able to use any other sim other that for which ever operator its locked. If u will buy any unlocked like Micromax / Alcatel/Beetel ..... then u can use any GSM sim either 3G or 2G, it automatically detects setyting 2G/3G/EDGE/GPRS and settings , u just need to connect to the network and what ever data plan u will b having it will b charged from that........

in my opinion go for unlocked one cost max of 2200 for 7.2 MBPS either use 2G or 3G.... and keep changing ur sim as per the lower tarrif
