Ofcourse rest is network, sound quality, n import factor is rate my dear. No GSM operator can match RIM rates except BSNL and they (RIM) r coming with new tariff 4 post paid my dear. Just 4 a logic why u use mobile service - Basic ans is to call n to recv. calls 4 that u need is good network, reasonable price, god sound quality in that area RIM is better than others.
I was the only 1 who was asking 4 more handset options etc. but this topic is totally different my dear, thinking of gareeb user etc is useless topic.
Now if u talk abt handset with 65k colour, FM, mp3 compt., video camera etc. is totally different issue alltogether.
So reliance rocks as far as minium n basic mobile service needed.

Bur wat is the use of it, if someone need STD to call frm Virar to my RIM dosen't sount effective + new no. system is not perfectly defined. I think this is 100% disadvantage

Nope that is 4 sure.(no irda, bt) U can only conn. through data cable but not sure weather u can upload wallpapers, ringtones in that using bitpim.

It works, u get diff. battery for FM, it has no affect to handset batt. price is approx. 170

Useless topic only. Am using both rim n gsm only problem with rim is service n billing rest all superior than GSM.

Good Point Sharad. I have raised the same point few days back. Even Mumbai ppl. will face the same problem for Virar circle. One can not call directly to rim from Virar, previously it was possible by dialing 9522 & the RIM no.
I think they have to find some solution for this.

Hey abhi, u can download 3 wallpapers I think. Can u please pass some info. abt. 5130, (review) how is the resoluation? Ringtones? Is it better than other GSM 65K handset like samsung c-100, Nokia 3120 etc.

I have just got info. frm RCC, that they r introducing new handset in Sep-04 is Samsung model rest detail I haven't got frm them. Is there any one know abt. it?? Or I got wrong info. from them

Well, Reliance has started the competion & am sure will come uo with some really good tariff. 1 shud not compair rim with mtnl wll, but rim has a competion with BSNL & other GSM operators. At the moment BSNL has the best offer & think RIM will do something in that area too.

Good joke compenn!!! They r 100% reducing tariff for postpaid, lets see wat they have to offer after BSNL.
But I give full mark to RIM, coz with thier entry only we ppl. got incoming free n good tariff. Can u just imagine, few days back only this GSM beggers have increased the rates n now they r reducing it only coz of Reliance that is the only reason I give full marks to RIM. :'(
Billing & other issues are different as far as reliance in soncern

:'( Big fight !! Yes look at the rates offered by BSNL 0.99 to any mobile n 1.20 to any landline upto 200 kms. What a puch. Now lets see wat RIM have in their bags so ppl. just wait n watch. I think no GSM other than BSNL in competition with RIM at the moment.
Am not sure weather RIM can offer such low rates compare to BSNL.

Hey I just contected RCC, for prepaid n postpaid conn. tariffI was surprised to know that even if u go for new conn. in post paid u will not get tariff according to prepaid (.99 to rim n 1.79 to l/l n oth.mob.) while in their press report it shows it is applicable to both.
But ppl. do not worry they are introducing new scheme(in 4-5days) for post paid n that is more cheap compare to prepaid. so lets wait n watch.

Well I think it's CSTN coz after going through other info, and excel file provided at rimweb.com for handset comparision it shows 16-bit colour in LG5130 I am not sure weather it comes in TFT also or not. But I think it's CSTN but in VX6000 or RD6000 it is TFT display.
Reg.: Other feathres can some one come up with the review.
Its 65K CSTN 4 sure now. Coz checked with LG website -
After going through 2-3 info. of LG5130 I have 1 query. In 1 info. it shows that it is 56K CSTN colour display while in other info. shows it is 65K TFT Colour display.
TFT is better than CSTN so is any body sure abt. Display type is it CSTN or TFT??

Works more or less same, but if ur usgae go more than 151 I think post paid is better. Haven't tried to cal. 540 prepaid voucher.

Well Yeah it's in diff. circle, if u wanna call gsm u need 2 dial o from Virar & yes RIM chgs rom. 4 virar area.
But thing is that previously u can call frm virar by dialing 9522 & rim no. but now after 93-10digit it will not be possible to dial rim no. 1 have 2 have STD con. 4 dat.
PPl. who have godown or factory at Vasai, Virar area from their land line without STD con. can not con. rim nos. That is the sad part.
Let's hope 4 the best
