  1. Suggest 4G Smartphone

Looking for a Dual 4G VoLTE supported smartphone [simultaneous, not 4G-2G] for Airtel4G & Jio4G Does Asus Zenfone max Pro (1) - Ref. https://telecomtalk.info/asus-zenfone-max-pro-launched-specs-price/176065/ [Rs.10,999/-, a Flipkart exclusive & available from 03-May-2018] really meet my requirement as claimed? Gurus Pls. respond
  2. to keep the forum going, a detailed successful "Root" procedure by the android smartphone owners may be started - Phone make, model & Android version may Pls. be mentioned along with tools/apps used. To start with, I'm looking for a detailed successful "Root" procedure from Gurus here for my Lyf Wind4 - Android version 5.1.1; Android security patch level 2017-01-01; Build No. LYF_LS-5014_01_17
  3. Karnataka Circle just got airtel Plan399* offer in myAirtel app>"Best offers for you" - 10 days after validity expiry of previous Plan399 Plan399 = Unlimited Local, STD & Roaming calls along with 1GB/day Data & 100 [Local+National] SMS/day, Validity 84 days
  4. Use of Jio SIM to get "Best Offers" from Airtel mayn't be working now! one of our Airtel Prepaid Plan399 with 84 days validity expired on 12-Mar-2018 - not recharged till now [10 days, Jio98 is being used] - only Plan448 with 82 days & Plan199 with 28 days validity offered - Plan399 no longer available in "Best offers"
  5. Karnataka Circle In Airtel, Reality seems to be different than what is Advertised/Published! myAirtel app was displaying 70 days validity for Rs.399/- Pack prior to insertion of Jio SIM [01-March-2018] on my handset & changed to 84 days [after Jio Plan 98 Recharge, 03-March-2018]. Note: Immediately after Rs.399/- Recharge Got an SMS stating the validity as 70 days - few minutes later, got a congratulatory SMS stating the validity as 84 days!
  6. Found a New use for Jio SIM*, details: Inserted Jio SIM in Slot2 of Moto E3 Power handset [Slot1 Airtel4G] - Got Airtel Rs.399/- Segmented-offer with 84 days validity [Regular validity is 70 days]. On 03-March-2018, Recharged Jio with Plan 98 [Unlimited Voice, 2GB 4G Data, later unlimited Data at 64Kbps, 300 SMS & Validity 28 days] - Got 10GB Free Data Add-on on 06-Mar-2018 [validity 02-April-2018]. Call Forwarding [to Airtel] enabled for Jio No. [No Response & Not reachable] - Downloading Video/Photos.....etc. via Airtel4G *Use Jio SIM to get best offers from Airtel
  7. As already tested, MotoE3 power can latch only to Jio4G Band5 [850MHz] indoors at my location [no Band3 / Band40 signal bars, verified by Band Lock via MTK Engineer mode], i presume upgrade to LTE-A handset may not serve well! thanks for the updated list of LTE-A supported handsets. I think MotoG5 Plus [Rs.10,999/- at Flipkart] also supports LTE-A
  8. I'm getting 2-3 signal Bars for Jio4G in Lyf Wind4 - I understand that, the handset latches to LTE Band 5 [850MHz] - no issue with Voice-call/SMS, only Data Speed is Pathetic [earlier with JDDD Plan, now speed reduced to 64Kbps as I haven't recharged after 01-Feb-2018] I had also tried the Jio SIm in Moto E3 Power and Locked the LTE Band to B3 & B40 [via MTK Engineer mode, *#*#3646633#*#*] - no Signal Bars! thanks for the list of LTE-A compatible handsets in India
  9. my Reliance Lyf Wind 4 handset doesn't seem to support LTE-A will LTE-A Handset solve Jio Indoor coverage issue? if so, can you suggest a Dual SIM [4G+4G] VoLTE LTE-A handset under 10K & oblige?
  10. Ref.: myJio app #4.1.09 on Lyf Wind4 the latest update of myJio app # 4.1.09 works fine on my Lyf Wind4 & is superfast [loads even with the present reduced Jio speed, viz. 64kbps] - earlier it was taking ages to load even with airtel4G & BSNL Broadband WiFi. hope Jio would also work to improve indoor 4G coverage soon, so that i can recharge & start using the services again!
  11. Unlike other operators, Jio Plans are Open & Tariff-card Transparent. However, Data speed indoors at my location is pathetic! Like earlier RCom CDMA, need stable & reliable Netconnect - even 2Mbps [indoors] would be fine! Discontinued Jio on 01-Feb-2018, after the JDDD pack expired. However, it seems I'm on "Grace Plan" - 100SMS/Day [Ref. Screen-shot], 64Kbps Unlimited Data, Incoming Calls & SMS! Jio-SIM in spare handset at home now, hope things would improve [Data speed indoors]!
  12. MyJio App

unlike myAirtel app, myJio app takes ages to load on my Lyf Wind4 [on Airtel 4G/Jio 4G/BSNL Broadband WiFi] - uninstalled! - now using www.jio.com sign-in
  13. Used Jio Free-Service from June 2016 to March 2017. Hoped things would improve when it became Paid & used till Dec 2017 - No improvement, Discarded Jio & continued with Airtel + BSNL combo What is the use of "Cheap-Packs" when Calls don't get through & Data speed is crawling?
  14. Suggest 4G Smartphone

thanks for the info. At present, I'm using 2 Rel Lyf Wind4 handsets for RJio & Airtel 4G* *at my home, RJio coverage is patchy - voice-calls only works, Data speed is pathetic [2G]. however, full signal-bars for Airtel 4G/3G and great speeds.
  15. Suggest 4G Smartphone

Pls. suggest a Dual SIM Volte 4G Android Smartphone [under Rs.10,000/-] for RJIO & Airtel combo . while RJio [SIM1] is VoLTE 4G [Voice calls]; Airel (SIM2) should work as 3G Data [not 2G]
  16. thanks for the clarifications, dropped the idea of JioFi2
  17. is JioFi2 Device @ Rs.999/- better than mobile-hotspot? I have Jio, Airtel & BSNL SIM & Two Dual SIM 4G VoLTE handsets. I use JIo+BSNL in one handset and Airtel in the other my Queries: if I buy JioFi2 device for Jio SIM & use the Airtel+BSNL SIMs in one of the Dual-SIM handsets - will this handset become a "Triple-SIM" with Jio4G Voice app via JioFi2 Hotspot? Is Jio4G Voice app better than native VoLTE support of Dual-SIM VoLTE Handset? is JioFi2-hotspot better than mobile-hotspot?
  18. Rcom going to shutdown ??

Aadhar can be of any service area [state], provide Local Reference [Address & Phone No (mobile/Landline)] for eKYC
  19. Advance Recharge is an excellent feature introduced by RJio, provided we restrict it to only one [not multiple]
  20. I had a Rs.50/- "Discount-voucher" (Cashback) from earlier DDD 309 Recharge via JioMoney & the validity was 30-Sept-2017. Applied the same for JDDD 399/- Recharge via JioMoney and my effective Recharge became Rs.349/- [399-50]. I didn't get any Cashback-voucher for JDDD 399/- Recharge, I presume Jio no longer offers Cashback!
  21. Ref: Karnataka Circle JDDD 399 "Adv. Recharge" done on 15-July-2017 [Rs. 50/- Cashback via JioMoney, Queued]; DDD 309 validity Expired today [20-July-2017; 06.37AM]. JDDD 399 came into effect with validity up to 12-Oct-2017 [84 days], no issue Happy with Jio, no multiple Recharges!
  22. Jio Mobile

Didn't install the VPN surfeasy as suggested at http://getjiospeed.blogspot.in/2016/10/how-to-increase-reliance-jio-4g.html#comment-form However, added a New APN myNet with configuration as suggested and could experience better Browsing & Downloads compared to default RJio APN thanks
  23. Jio Mobile

I friend of mine has sent the APN Tweak for Reliance Jio to improve 4G experience as below: Name: myNet APN: Jionet Port: 8080 Server: www.wfjio5%.4g.com Authentication type: PAP APN type: default, xcap APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6 APN roaming protocol: IPv4/IPv6 Bearer: LTE my Query: Is it safe to Edit my Default Jio APN as above, will it improve 4G experience as claimed? Is Server: www.wfjio5%.4g.com - belong to RJio? RIM gurus to responde Pls.
  24. Ref.: Karnataka Circle JioFi is an operator locked dongle and RJio indoor coverage is pathetic. JioFi indoors latches to Band 5 [850 MHz] and Browse itself is difficult during peak hours, forget downloads! Jio Offer with Option 1: Rs.1,999/- + Prime membership (Rs.99/-) + Rs.149/- = Rs.2,247/- Further, unlike VoLTE Smartphone with MediaTek processor [MTK Engr. mode code: *#*#3646633#*#*], one can't Lock JioFi to Band 40 at the moment, Data card of choice for indoor use is Airtel 4G
  25. Agreed, if one plans to buy JioFi for unlimited voice calls via Jio4GVoice app, would you recommend to grab the offer!
