BTW Some Reg Tweaks posts are deleted by some respected mods. I think there is some repetition also. Just check Windows Tips and Tricks.

    I want some help related to scandisk. Is there anyway to run scandisk, without Exit option. I means when system reboots due to some power failure, scandisk run. But user has option to exit it. I want to remove that option or some tweak, so user cannot exit it. (i.e. run of scandisk compulsory.) I want help in Windows 98 and Windows XP.

    Provide more to get more!!!

    Hi !

    I have not been able to install "USB to Serial" Drivers for it (winXP-SP2). I have tried installing reliance, prolific drivers. Can anybody help?

    Are you try R Connect default driver which provide by Reliance. Becuase i think there is no need for any other driver. You can use R Connect driver for Windows. For more information visit http://www.relianceinfo.com.

    After this please provide your query if you have any. Regarding prolific driver if you required after this. Search the forum, Hyd Ladka post it somewhere. Do not know exact location.

    Sorry but i cannot help you in this regards. Take a cable from some shop with some days changeable guarantee for some days. The local dealer may provide this, because in this time period we can check that cable.

    One thing is quite right for USB connection that it has more problem then serial connection if some minor thing goes wrong.

    One more observation. You would have noticed from the pictures that when I disabled the laptop modem from the device manager the lg cdma modem immediately got activated. In fact every time I am responding to this forum I am having to do that. Are you sure the cable is faulty or is there some setting that needs to be corrected on the system? Of course I agree that the observations are same on two computers!! Quite perplexing!!

    It seems that Cable may be faulty, If possible try to use some other cable. Try to make an simple dial up connection. for if you want any help in this regard search R Connect Troubleshooter in R Connect forum.

    As you have concluded the discussion yourself, what more comments do you want? on your decision?

    I only provide my conclusion, but i want more comments from respected users. As you say he or she can purchase second bettery. Then the cost of phone will increase. If its battery worked like GTRAN then what you say. I know it has many feature which is impossible at that rate without any risk. no one know How these phone come to indian market at this impossible price 8000, which change RIMWEB in Ebay. Because Reliance original price is quite hight i.e. 35000. So i afraid that something is hidden behind this.(It may be possible that many members may come in oppose of my comments but everyone know it is impossible at this price without some hidden work or process). So i provide suggestion based on available models.

    BTW Keep discussing and No hardfeelings please.

    I looks to be a case of COM3 (the virtual port for LG CDMA) disappearing after disconnecing. Look at the pictures here attached.

    Try this First, try testing the modem's ability to detect dial tone and to dial by using HyperTerminal with the direct to COM port connect method.

    Describe What message you are getting.

    Also check your phone with some other cable if possible, it may possible that your new cable may be faulty too.

    I will still support 5130. Because its price range is about 3200 to 3500. And by the help of R Worlds mail feature you can send or receive mail to or from any account.

    Everything depends on you. Because 7135 comming without any warranty and there are no information about its battery life. It is right it has many features but i will not support that phone.

    Depends on you what you want, the conclusion is LG RD 5130. It will good as you are currently using Motorola c131.

    Sorry I didn't make it clear but the old cable is already defective. The modem would not be detected at all which why all this fuss. Do you think I need to buy the new USB-Serial cable (worth Rs 1400) again and discard the USB cable?

    You can purchase new local USB cable with some warranty from any local dealer. Warranty means you can interchange cable to next one if there is some problem is arise. I will not support for USB cable from RWW. Local cable may cost you about 200 only. After that try to install the R Connect again.

    If you did not want to purchase for a new cable, OK, we can try on this cable also but chances of success are very low.

    You can also go for a serial cable as describe by Dheeraj, but it will decrease some speed. Choice depends on You.

    I have been using LG RD5130 for almost a year now on my Toshiba laptop using an original LG-make USB cable integrated with Serial-USB Converter model LG-USBC1000-X with no major problems.

    There is no need to change your cable as you say it was working great. Try to install your old cable again with LG RD 5130. Before installation, deletes and uninstall all modem drivers, dial up connection and also restart you computer.

    Now install your old cable again. Check the connection. if you did not get connected, Please note the message you got there. It may be you first need to install driver for USB to serial convertor. You can search these drivers at RIMWEB. Currently i do not remember any link related to this driver. Hyd Ladka may help to find these prolofic driver. Hyd Ladka please help him to find that driver.

    Try to install the R Connect again by the help of this driver.

    Keep posting for more, and share your exp.

    you got it, thanks i finally reached to you also.

    This is a right time to say right thing. Many rimwebian are join RIMWEB and more are comming its very difficult to run this type thread for everyone without any support. Its great to know to many person have knowledge about me more than me. BTW thanks for comments.

    Why not add something more about some other RIMWEBian also. I also want your comments, please add some. Want more from your side to run this thread.

    Sometimes it happen about 1 or 2 days in complete 1 month. The more problematic time is dec 2005. When Un bill not increased about 3 or 4 day continously. Just registeed a complain or request to RCC and wait and watch. I m telling about Bill information available through IVR. Don't check much through net.

    Call reliance customer care and ask what services are activate on your number. Not told him that you have requested for termination of service. If they ask about termination of service, then tell all truth. It may solve your confusion.

    It is always good to work like you do not know anything when you contact RCC.

    Try to change the location from India to USA, i think it should change the .co.in domain to .com

    Would that mean, we could toggle any time, back and forth! I doubt so!

    So?

    I think it is not right and for other info, the Yahoo are shifting all yahoo mail's account to US server. So there is no meaning of yahoo.co.in or yahoo.com.
