hi, I have done it again what i did with my iphone. I could connect to wifi with my perfectly working pre but could not connect to "app catalog". nor was the EVO working ... pressed update, gave me a choice to update "palm" software and i did to 1.4.1.1 even created a new profile as i bought the phone from someone using it in india. and now it keeps searching for network.. Have restarted it but still no response should i do a partial reset as well might as well start afresh... How do i try and get my phone working.. please please help out ...

Hi, out of the blue 2 keys on my phone have stopped working. Till yesterday it was the "j" key today both " j" and "i". also am finding the flip from one screen to next not as efficient as it was. Any ideas... has the screen gone bad. The keys all work in landscape mode... Thanks.

hi, please advice, i just bought a new htc incredible.. most of functions are working so is the internet through wifi or reliance unlimited pack(slightly slow though). it even is updating my gmail emails, but whenever i try to setup gmail at "setup" or try and enter gmail when trying to go to market am getting an error which basically saying that it cannot connect to gmail servers to contact my data provider. I cant even add my contacts through gmail. Someone suggested a hard reset (will that erase the codes/setting to make this phone usable with reliance. also a suggestion to Root it and install custom rom... i really dont know how to do that. just for sake of it... i tried to log on to gmail... and it logged on!!! had tried everything ... but its working so finally logged on to market and downloaded freebies...

no solution at all.. been told to do a hard reset.. hitesh told me to download some programs, but since then unable to get in touch with him.. Infact it connects with wifi easily, but has suddenly Stopped connecting to reliance data services... any advice...

Problems- One major problem which i have already discovered is once the battery reaches half there is a very quick drain ..... And the Screen comes on after every 15 seconds and remains on for 5 seconds and goes off, which i suspect is also a reason for battery drain. Also could be cause i bought it used. Trying to buy extra battery and car charger from amazon or ebay... Leaving for mumbai, have a kind of a deal set up to exchange my iphone 8gb (by the way excellent condition) for a 32 gb iphone 3gs. Only thing that may stop me would be the good things i have heard about the Nexus One... Specially the voice recognisiton software on it. Besides that any one have an idea how to delete Sprint applications in the pre. Good stuff by far one of the best phones i have used, and i have used huge numbers since Outgoing was 17 Rs a minute. have an iphone 8 gb which is what you expect, but the palm's silkiness with which it just sails through is what impressed me. Yet to get used to it so still trying to learn things... Thanks to Doc's reviews etc really helped. Camera is not bad at all... Wifi works like my laptop excellent... Who said the Pre lacks applications comparred to iphone maybe other wise there's no lack of it. Most imp, ability to multi task.... Wow... Except i still gotto figure out using reliance's internet service even basic one... More later.. Please let me know the screen coming on and off is experienced by anyone else.

Finally Rooted the phone, loaded the windows driver which you get from the site unrevoked.com had a youtube video guiding me, basically you have to switch on the usb by going into settings/application/developing and run unrevoked (i had not uninstalled htc sync, which i had to)... and it went on perfect... EXCEPT still the error of unable to log on to gmail.. (although the phone keeps updating my gmail mails). So i guess will have to perform a Hard reset. But that would mean re-programming it. Hitesh Bhai is really busy these days so just waiting for him to get a bit free , and then will perform the Hard reset. If there is any other way please let me know.

could some one give me a step by step guide or a link where it explains what i should do. I saw some you tube videos, they asking to install the htc sync first then download sdk... etc etc.. please help.

gonna try rooting first, now the million dollar question ..... How does one root? Is there a guide, i have an android, i have heard the sky is the limit, so i guess journey begins from rooting...

but will i have to unlock the phone again...

yup, gmail opens every site opens if i enter through the web browzer or even the page which is setup to receive live mail (ie gmail page which is always on), but if i try go through setup or market, where it asks to create or enter exsisting gmail account, after entering details takes 2 minutes and i get the foll message- Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. and below it comes written- this could be a temprerory problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. if it continues call customer care. I have even tried switching off the reliance data package and use only wifi same thing...

nope, wifi or mobile network.. been trying it for almost over a week now. same error, unable to connect.

My phone ie palm pre switches off randomly on it own. Yesterday after I switched it on it would be in stand by mode and would not come on till I rebooted .... Happens every second day. Please help. I don't think it is a battery problem. Thanks

I had got the palm pre and absolutely loved it... Got greedy as i thought i could get a pre plus.... Somehow everyone is having a problem unlocking it... so have been suggested the Incredible.. Have read the reviews seem really cool, but very similar to my Iphone (my gsm number), which i dont mind... Any thoughts if i should wait for the pre plus or get the HTC Incredible... seems good but is for almost 10k more....

thanks all... have ordered the HTC incredible for my CDMA with Hitesh Bhai, it should be here in a weeks time. and also have asked a friend to buy me the Palm Pre Plus for my GSM connection from the States.

am getting the iphone 4 for myself for my gsm connection thats confirmed.. trying to get my hands on to the incredible for my reliance cdma connection but as i have been thinking i'll have two similar phones... Didnt think much of the pixi would rather get a good black berry.... but i dont know i still have a thing for the palm pre plus, any sellers............... if not even a palm pre would do... But as i have been reading the palm pre is a tough phone to come by and crack, please suggest me a good black berry out of the ones available or as i read people find the pixi a good upgrade after the 755p i had earlier....

but last i heard, unable to get hold of a palm pre plus or a pixi plus... i know pixi is available.... and yup i definately be upgrading from my current iphone to the iphone 4 i have always been a palm fan.. they r very hardy phones and been using their products since 1995.... also will check out the pixi plus reveiews... Please do ask hitesh for either pixi plus or incredible.. any ideas if EVO (relaince hi speed internet) will work with pixi plus, i know that it work with the incredible...

Incredible it is... one small question, i live in a small town in HP, who or where can i get the incredible from... Got in touch with sadiq, they only selling EVOs, hitesh is very busy and had asked me to wait.. I can buy it tomorrow if i know where to get it from...

hi, had a break-in in my car, ended up losing a few goodies, one of them being my palm pre's charger. Is there any other charger that would work or is there a place in New Delhi that i might get one. Thanks.

yup hitesh thats the one i tried... the black berry was amazing,,, the nokia and motorola after some time would stop charging and show a plug sign... my cousin has the bb and its fully charged... but will buy from the link.... as its exactly what i wanted. Thanks.. @ Hitesh will be messaging you on 5th after my surgery (about pre +).

Hi AMI, i cant even log on to app catalog since i flashed my phone, have tried different networks, App catlog opens for a second and then just gives an error an exclamation mark and below it says " the action could not be completed. Try again later." Any ideas?

Have gone through the phone, Can make calls Can receive calls Can send messages Can access internet trough wireless Web browzer works. BUT I thought after all that i get to setup a new profile etc nothing. I enter password if i try backup it does not connect I i try UPDATE it just says checking for updates nothing happens Finally to try and use CL backup to get my numbers and memos back from palm desktop, which i have to download from APP CATALOG , it opens for a second and then i get the message "the action could not be completed. Try again later". Is there any link to a step by step guide instead of troubling you all again and again.
