  1. New Bsnl Broadband Connection

Ok, finally got it sorted. The portal for new broadband connections is http://data.bsnl.in/ You have to call up 18004241600 and ask them to give you an ID and password. It takes them 3-4 days to get it done. This portal is still under development so users have to call up the helpline to change the password.
  2. New Bsnl Broadband Connection

I have tried the number, it takes forever to connect. I gave up after 15 minutes - will try again today. Thanks for the tip. I have a type 2 modem, so can;t help you with the drivers.
  3. New Bsnl Broadband Connection

It is DataOne only. And no, the URL you mention takes me to bsnl.co.in As I mentioned in my original post, I have another DataOne connection where this URL works. However, on the new connection, this URL does not work. My userid is also @bsnl.in while the earlier one was @dataone.in It seems that BSNL has set up some new system for managing your account and I am looking for more information regarding that.
  4. Hi, I have had a BSNL connection for a few months and the userid is xyz@dataone.in To check my a/c usage, I go to dataone.in and then click on the 'DataOne Account Administration' link towards the bottom. On Sunday, I got another BSNL connection and my userid this time is abc@bsnl.in If I click on the 'DataOne Account Administration' link from dataone.in, then it simply goes to bsnl.co.in I have no idea how to change my password or check my account usage. I did not get any documentation with my connection, just my userid was written on the carton in which the modem came. Is there anybody else who is facing a similar problem and has figured out how to login to the control panel? Thanks, Nikhil
  5. http://www.bsnl.co.in/newsdetailed.php?news_id=370 There is no roaming allowed but 250/month for unlimited is great. There is the option of taking an EVDO card which can work at 2.4Mbps when the infrastructure is deployed.
