  1. Dear Members, I migrated from RCDMA to RGSM and the 3 months lock-in period is coming to an end at 9th May. I'm using blackberry, the data service is quite good but unfortunately voice ain't good enough & network coverage is biggest issue. I again want to switch to another GSM operator, who provide good blackberry service and better voice plus coverage network. I reside in NAGPUR(Mah) Please Suggest... Thanks in advance.
  2. I guess i'am the odd man out, i migrated from rcdma to grsm and i'm very happy with rgsm services on my bb. even voice calls are working fine. call rate: 1p/2sec sms 39/month (they discontinued Rs.19 pack as per CC) BB plan 398/month The 1p/2sec plan is valid for 3 months only. I hope they won't discontinue after 3 months else this will give me another opportunity to migrate from rgsm to another lucrative offering.
  3. yaa RGSM has very good GPRS speed as compared to others, may be due to lesser congestion. are u able to make call to *222 or *333 or 198 easily ? Yes calls to all those numbers are working smoothly unlike when i was on cdma, they used to put on hold for long time. But due to mnp i guess they are charged up.
  4. Today activated BBS on RGSM prepaid (ported number) @ Rs.398/month. Speed is a lot better compared to my other vodafone BB number. But I'm still unable to activate the sms packs, CC said its some tech issue and should be resolved by evening.
  5. You should get the tariff without doing any FRC. Just do a balance check once your RGSM SIM is active if it reflects around10 balance then you have received benefit without any FRC. (wait for 3-4 Hrs after it gets active as they may take time to attach benefit to you) Share your experience for our benefits also. I called up CC to know the tariff plan but they got no info about cdma to gsm migration, in there system am still on cdma - the info is yet to be updated. So I went to web-world and they told me to recharge with 41 FRC to get 1p/2sec benefit, according to them the default activated plan is 1p/sec and bal was rs.11/- at the time of gsm activation. I have done so and its working.
  6. I got the following updates just now back to back: RM MNP: Dear Customer, your new sim is ready for activation. Pls insert the new SIM by 11:00PM-12:00AM Reliance. RM MNP: Dear Customer, Reference to your Port IN request for Number 937xxxxxxx your request is accepted & your services will be restricted for 2 hours on 09/02/2011 b/w 10:00PM-12:00PM. Your services will be activated in Reliance tentatively at -12:00AM. ----- Dear Members, once after activation do I have to recharge with 41 FRC for 1p/2sec tariff or it will be activated by default in new sim? please update. thanks in advance. My RGSM is activated now, and RCDMA is suspended. It took 20 days for porting, finally its done.

  8. I did a weird experiment today, I already have given porting request from RCDMA to RGSM on 20th Jan but nothing happened yet so a while ago I gave a fresh request to Vodafone with same UPC code, Since its valid for 2 more days. Whichever way itis done is fine to me, but hope i will not end up loosing my number.
  9. unfortunately the network is not so sound compared to other peers but its fine in the area i work, my close knits also uses reliance so R2R on-net helps. And i got a new gsm bb thats one major reason to swap. hope they will upgrade, fingers crossed else after 3 months i will again migrate to some new operator.
  10. Today is day 14th and still waiting for RCDMA to convert into RGSM. I believe RGSM is not ready for port-in's, i didnt hear a single case yet.. anyone migrated to RGSM, pls update. thanks in advance.
  11. After making request to port from RCDMA to RGSM on 20th, I got this SMS just now on RCDMA: Dear Customer, as per TRAI guidelines with effect from 1-Feb-2011 you can send upto 100 sms per day. Thank you. Reliance Sender: RM-Reliance ----- Are they being reluctant to port my rcdma number?
  12. Dear Members, I made an request to port my RCDMA to RCOM on 20th Jan to respective web-world & they gave me a new blank RGSM for the same. But it hasn't been activated yet. Playing volly between web-world and Cust. Care, to my surprise both are clueless. Any place where I can check the status? Since Reliance ppl are really being ignorant. What if I make fresh request to Vodafone ppl to port my RCDMA number with same UPC code? Please revert members, Regards, axxo
