  1. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

I Dont understand what kind of Business Model RCOM has followed, by launching a Patehtic network , they will lose out a lot of customers to port -outs, however since they are not selling any new connections on their 4G network impending Jio Launch , they will have no incoming customers to net off the Port outs , that means it will be huge revenue hit to already suffering Rcom . I Dont understand that business wise its not a very wise move
  2. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Got Migrated on 30th May in the evening, No SMS , CDMA suddenly stopped working , changed the SIM , as did not have a 4G phone , i put the sim in my Blackberry Bold 4, Pathetic Network, No Network at my house... outside the network is very patchy... SMS was not working initially but now working . Voice Quality is very poor, call drop a norm Ported out to Tata Indicom on 31st May , waiting for Porting to happen. Hate to loose Reliance CDMA but no other choice i have, i was with Reliance due to the superior CDMA network, however that's not the case anymore

No Evdo in south Delhi only 1x
  4. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

i had the same problem earlier , was getting message that my CDMA number is not valid, so i was told that Remove the SIM , put it another phone and do *228, once the activation is completed send the SMS again, i did that and it accpeted it, try and Do *228 ,or ask them to give you a blank SIM Card, once you get the SIM transfer your number to that SIM (RCDMA SIM) , do *228 , once the number is active, send message to 1299 once done, use the RCDMA sim in a handset, if you dont have , tell them to activate the SIMLESS Motorola again.. i am afraid this is the only option you have
  5. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Lost Signal Early morning in South Delhi, no Signal at all, had to restart the phone, and the signal came back. Reliance CC have absolutely no clue on what is happening, Infact even the senior management has no clue on whats happening. the sufrers are those who have entrusted Rcom CDMA for so long and kept it alive, i generated a UPC code yesterday, got a call from Reliance CC and he kept on telling me 4G will happen Soon 4G will happen Soon. I feel that even after the Launch of 4g , can we trust 4g 100% to work in all areas ? Considering Airtel who has supposedly best network in India is unable to provide 4G 100% in all places and they fall back on their 3g and 2g , and their voice coverge is decent. if Rcom 4g doesnt work in all places, then we fall back on 3g and 2g of pathetic rcom gsm... uska to bhagwan hi malik hai.
  6. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

It has been absolutely a Disaster as far as this upgrade is concerned, they could have handled it in a much better fashion by communicating better. it seems none of Reliance Communications internal departments are talking to each other. the Communication team is not in Sync with what marketing is saying and no one know what should be a standard communication to customers should be.
  7. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Today , i generated a UPC code; i got a call from the reliance store that please do not port the number, please give us a chance to shift you to 4G, i told them i no mood to move to RGSM and they said that CDMA network is going to shut down and that is something which is being published and told widely, including Social Media and other communication channels. I told that lady to give it to me in writing that CDMA network will not shut down i will stay back. she had no words and quietly said ok if you want to go then go
  8. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Got the 4G Sim from the Reliance Web World Store in Kalkaji Delhi, the store manager took my phone and sent SMS to 1299 , and i got the message Dear Customer,Request of 4G upgrade is not available on your mobile number. Please send request from a Valid CDMA Number. Rcom even the guy at the store was clueless, he said that 4-5th May is when the activations will start, and Reliance CDMA will shut down in delhi by 15th May, i dont trust him since there was another guy who said that we recieved very limited number of 4G SIM's. also they charged 25/- for the SIM Card and took down my number and told me to get back to me Also, i sent out a Port request but havent gotten back the port code yet, called 198 the lady said till the time you dont pay your bill , you wont get port code. Dont know what is happening. i am getting worried about losing my number

  10. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Hi Friends, I am currently based in Delhi , and using Reliance CDMA ; reliance store in Gk1 , have no clear information regarding the upgarade. i have the following questions to the veterans on this site 1) since Delhi has MTS ?- will be able to continue on Reliance CDMA or we will have to port to 4G LTE ? 2) What is the underlying technology of 4G LTE - GSM or CDMA ? 3) i am currently using a Sprint HTC 510 from USA , which takes a SIM CARD , while reading online i read that it supports LTE Band 5 , does that mean my phone will continue to work after migration ? 4) Currently we are on Unlimited 1299 Plan, with a 50% rental discount and everything is unlimited will it continue ? 5) Any timelines for delhi customers by when do they have to make a decision or upgrade or port out ? All Answers will be highly appreciated Regards, Ranpreet
