Guys, let's create a group and buy credits in bulk so that it will be affordable to all of us. We can then submit this list with the IMEI's to ydiddy and we all will be able to do flash our phones. I am creating a separate thread, so requesting everyone who need credits can participate in that thread. I will request the seniors out here to guide us further from here.

Yes nikme, DFS has reduced the price. According to the latest update on their website:
2 Apple devices (iPhone 4 cdma or iPad 2 cdma) by price $100 now! DFS CDMA Tool version 4.0.0.4 is available for downloading.

I've been following this post for weeks and finally according to the author of this post,
a 65$ iPhone CDMA flashing tool will be available in a day or two's time frame. I'm really happy to share this news. Finally, in 3-4k we will be able to successfully flash our iPhones to work with Reliance properly.

Parin bhai, no matter what, finally to write the values on the phone, it has to create a comm port on our machine. So i am very optimistic that if we break this barrier, we will be able to do the same using alternative tools. But let's see, these are all assumptions till it is not possible in reality!

My observation so far is:
DFS is simply creating a Virtual Comm Port over SSH and then does all the communication with the iphone. The steps to connect the phone to CDMA WS or QPST are the same. I created a virtual comm port over SSH and then selected that comm port in CDMAWS/QPST and was able to read some of the values conveniently. The only thing which i am not understanding is how come DFS is able to read as well as write to the phone whereas the other tools are failing to do so. If we can crack this nut, i am sure we have an alternative to DFS to program our iphones.

After people in US were able to enable Data access on their flashed iPhones, i was eager to find out the solution. What i came to know was that they are using a tool called as DFS from cdmatool.com. The only problem is it's very expensive, per device programming costs 100$. But yes, DFS is working 100% once you know what has to be done.
After digging through different forums, i was finally able to connect the iPhone 4 CDMA to CDMA Workshop and QSPT as well. I've attached snapshots of both the applications. But i think this is the first stage of this exploration and a lot more is required to be done if we need to find out an alternative to DFS.
Now the only problem is that the next step doesn't works. If i click on the read option provided by both the tools, i get an error saying it's unable to read from the device. Now the question is how come DFS is able to read the settings from the phone, which other tools are unable to do so right now.
People for whom using CDMA Workshop and QPST is a day to day task, please share your experience so that we can find out a cheaper alternative to DFS and make our iPhones work 100% perfectly.

Now the confusion has got resolved. I think Vijay Malhotra created all this confusion. Atleast in iPhone CDMA, data doesn't works by default.

I am say 1x data is worked default by reliance but u need to change ur phone setting for that no need for activate 1x for reliance end.

Are yaar, where did i blame anyone? I just mentioned the post which created the confusion and since I am new to all this, it's obvious that i will get confused and it's the experience of you guys which will help people like me to get their confusion resolved. I just don't understand where did i blame anyone! And how can i blame someone who is sparing out his valuable time to share his experience. C'mon people, please don't take anything personal.

And if you read the beginning of this thread clearly, you will know this thread is all about the confusion which got created after seeing the 3G icon and the log messages following the same.

Parin bhai, why am i so unlucky in every aspect? Already SMS problem pending, then all that call drop problem, and now one more problem, 1x not working by default, problem, problem, problem. Kya bad luck hai!

So why are people who are using iPhone say that Data is not working, only calls & sms works. Can anyone using an iPhone CDMA please confirm is 1x Internet is working for them?

It's not working for me. It keeps on saying "could not activate cellular data network"

Parin bhai, I tried it, but not working. It says "could not activate cellular data network". This message appears on GSM phones also if we have not subscribed for any EDGE/3G plans. So I think i need to activate 1x/evdo on my number from reliance. I've asked Reliance to activate 49 Rupees Rental Plan with 100MB usage and it will get activated from my next bill cycle which is fortunately 9th, i.e tomorrow. My excitement is increasing beyond limits. Let's hope internet starts working..

Just see the attached image, i am seeing it for the first time on my iPhone 4 CDMA phone. And when i saw the log for the same, i cannot believe it. Please help me with this. Should i go ahead and activate EVDO on my number by Reliance and will internet start working on it? What else needs to be done? I'm excited. If you see the log messages closely, you will know the reason for my excitement!

It's better we buy this tool because i checked with gaurav, he is going to use DFS. The problem will be in future when iOS 6 jailbreak will be released, we will have to flash our devices again. If we all have our own personal licenses, it will be a smooth ride in future as well.
