  1. No Firmware Updates For Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA

Samsung as of now has released firmware only uptil 2.2.2 . Had read some place that we can expect an update to 2.3 soon. When will that soon come is yet to be seen. Also found a link to a site which gives a custom ROM for i559 - http://www.in189.com/thread-301648-1-1.html use translate to read it. Please post here if anyone tries it.
  2. No Firmware Updates For Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA

Hi, Pop CDMA has gotten a firmware upgrade. I'm planning on upgrading my firmware soon using Samsung KIES software. Has anybody else done this upgrade?? If yes can you tell us which version does it upgrade to?
  3. No Firmware Updates For Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA

Hi, I too agree that, now its been a long enough time, that samsung released and update for Galaxy Pop CDMA as the sales for the same have been phenomenal and the customers deserve better. @amitroutray - the link you have posted is for the GSM version of the phone. So it wouldn't be advisable to upgrade to gingerbread using the mentioned rom.
  4. Internet on PC/laptop using Samsung Galaxy Pop CDMA

I may have gotten a solution for getting EVDO speeds. I had called the Netconnect helpline and explained them my problem on getting slow speeds. Initially they were telling me that my handset is not supported by them. But i reasoned with them and surprisingly it worked and they took my request for activating EVDO. But when i asked them up to what speeds i can get, they told me I'll be able to get up to 2.4mbps. Is this true or is it just the wrong information that CC has provided. So now I'm getting really good speeds for dial-up, but the problem of usage being charged from my main balance every time i access net from my phone or when i tether my laptop to my phones wi-fi. If anybody could guide us in this respect it would be a great help for all the Android phone users of R-COM CDMA.
